Questo diusore è stato progettato e rea-
lizzato senza compromessi.
Per raggiungere il massimo delle sue
prestazioni e godere delle sue qualità nel
tempo bisogna dedicare particolare atten-
zione all’installazione ad all’uso.
Questo manuale fornisce alcune indica-
zioni per raggiungere questo obbiettivo:
leggetelo attentamente.

Un alto livello qualitativo della sorgente utilizzata con-
sentirà all’amplicatore di far raggiungere ai diusori
un ottimo livello di riproduzione. Ma anche utilizzan-
do il miglior amplicatore e i migliori diusori con
una sorgente di riproduzione con un’alta quantità di
distorsione, priva di armoniche e molto compressa,
(come ad esempio un le .mp3), verrà riprodotto un
suono di scarsa qualità costringendo inoltre l’ampli-
catore a rinforzare proporzionalmente anche la distor-
sione con il risultato di danneggiare irrimediabilmente
gli altoparlanti. Un ultimo consiglio, è meglio usare un
amplicatore più potente a un volume moderato piut-
tosto che uno di potenza inferiore al massimo delle sue
capacità: 10 watt con un alto tasso di distorsione sono
molto più pericolosi di 100 watt di suono non distorto.

Il diusore Classic Eight riprende le losoe proget-
tuali dei riferimenti dell’epoca d’oro dell’Hi-Fi utiliz-
zando le più avanzate tecnologie. Il sistema due vie
in sospensione pneumatica ore correttezza timbrica
ed equilibrio eccezionali in rapporto al prezzo ed alle
dimensioni. Il Classic Eight utilizza un tweeter con
membrana smorzata in seta trattata da 3/4” caratteriz-
zato da una straordinaria dispersione anche fuori asse
ed un woofer da 8” in carta trattata e sospensione in
foam per migliorare la risoluzione in gamma media
con ottima estensione ed articolazione in gamma bas-
sa. Al crossover, vero cuore del sistema, è stata posta la
massima attenzione. E’ stata scelta una realizzazione
senza compromessi, con componenti saldati a mano
punto a punto ed incollati elastomericamente ad un
supporto in multistrato di betulla da 18mm annullan-
do le microfonicità residue. Le induttanze avvolte in
aria a bassissima resistenza, le capacità di qualità au-
diophile e l’unica resistenza presente di tipo antindut-
tivo contribuiscono a far “scomparire acusticamente”
il pur necessario intervento del circuito. Ma il miglior
risultaltato è stato ottenuto in termini di sensibilità.
Superando gli 89 dB questo diusore può esprimersi al
meglio anche con amplicatori valvolari di pochi watt.
Nella fase dei rigorosi test sono stati utilizzati ampli-
catori Single Ended con valvole 300B da circa 9 watt
per canale creando un’esperienza sonora ormai rara.

Il suono di ogni diusore è pesantemente condiziona-
to non solo dalla catena audio nel quale è inserito ma
anche dalla stanza e dal suo arredo. Genericamente
l’utilizzo di tappeti e arredamento con superci assor-
benti caratterizza la resa sulle frequenze medie e sugli
acuti mentre la distanza di posizionamento dalle pa-
reti interagisce con le frequenze basse. Sebbene la so-
spensione pneumatica sia meno critica rispetto ad altri
diusori accordati è comunque buona norma posizio-
nare questi diusori sucientemente lontani dagli an-
goli e dalle pareti della stanza. Per ciò che concerne
l’altezza da terra sono stati realizzati appositi supporti
disaccoppianti Novaudio, che consigliamo vivamente.
Poichè ogni ambiente è unico sarà necessario tempo
e pazienza per raggiungere i migliori risultati. Consi-
gliamo di partire con un posizionamento base a cir-
ca un metro dalla parete posteriore ed almeno mezzo
metro dalle pareti laterali, secondo la formula Y2 = XZ
(riquadro a lato), ma sarà solo la sperimentazione e
le capacità dell’installatore a stabilire la posizione mi-
gliore in ambiente.
Posizionamento in ambiente

Durante i test di controllo produzione i diuso-
ri vengono parzialmente rodati per circa 15 ore.
Prima di arrivare al loro standard di qualità i diuso-
ri hanno bisogno di un periodo di rodaggio di circa
100 ore di utilizzo, nel quale è consigliato iniziare con
generi “so” e volumi moderati per poi alzare progres-
sivamente il volume evitando picchi e generi musicali
“hard”.
A causa della continua ricerca e sviluppo, le speciche tecniche potrebbero essere soggette a modiche senza
preavviso.

Per garantire l’integrità del prodotto durante la spedi-
zione è stato realizzato un contenitore in legno con ap-
positi smorzatori. Rimuovere i diusori dalla scatola
usando le apposite maniglie poste sulle borse protetti-
ve in feltro. Quando l’impianto è spento usare le borse
in feltro per proteggere i diusori dalla polvere e dai
raggi solari.

Novaudio garantisce questo prodotto dai di difetti dei
materiali e della lavorazione per due anni dalla data
originale di acquisto solo al primo acquirente da un
rivenditore autorizzato e si impegna a coprire il costo
delle parti e del lavoro associato richiesto per cor-
reggere tali difetti, nei termini e condizioni descritte.
Se il prodotto non funziona correttamente durante il
normale uso domestico e durante il periodo di garan-
zia a causa di difetti sopra descritti, Novaudio riparerà
o sostituirà l’articolo gratuitamente a sua discrezio-

and made without any compromise in
terms of quality and construction of all
components. In order to obtain their
full potential and to enjoy their excellent
sound quality over time, particular atten-
tion should be paid to the positioning and
installation of the speakers.

to do these, so please read carefully.

Clearly, the better the playback system used will re-
sult in the amplier being able to allow the speakers to
reach their optimal level. If one uses the best amplier
and the best speakers whilst the reproduction source,
lacking harmonics, compressed and with a high level
of distortion, (for example an MP3 le), a poor qua-
lity sound will be produced forcing the amplier to
enhance the distortion which could seriously damage
the speakers. One last piece of advice, it is better to use
a more powerful amplier at a lower level than a lower
power one at its maximum: 10 watts full of distortion
are much more dangerous that a 100 watts of undistor-
ted sound.

e Classic Eight speaker follows the design philoso-
phy from the golden age of Hi-Fi, using however, cut-
ting edge technology. It is a two way speaker in a clo-
sed box which provides both optimal timbre and tonal
balance. e Classic Eight uses a 3/4 inch damped
and treated silk tweeter with excellent sound disper-
sion along with 8 inch specially coated paper cone and
foam surround woofer to improve the medium range
sound resolution with a clearer denition of the bass
notes. e real heart of the system, the crossover, has
been given the maximum attention. A clear example
of this is that the hand made sections of the crossover
have been made with particular attention to their level
of quality throughout all stages of their construction.
e low resistance air wrapped inductances, the au-
diophile level capacitors and the anti- inductive re-
sistors, recreate the sensation of the original studio
recording. Each component is soldered by hand indi-
vidually, point to point, and attached with elastomer
on 18 millimetre multi layered birch support, which
eectively eliminates any unwanted feedback. Howe-
ver, the best results are achieved in terms of sensitivi-
ty. Going over 89db, these speakers are able to obtain
the best also from a low watt valve amplier. During
rigorous sound tests, Single Ended 300B with 9 watt
valve ampliers were used which helps create a unique
audio experience.

e reproductive quality of any speaker is heavily in-
uenced not only by the sound system used but also
the room and the furnishings within it. As a conse-
quence each ambient is unique.
e distance from room corners aects the bass fre-
quencies. e use of carpets and sofurnishings aect
medium and high range frequencies. Although the
closed box is less critical in relation to the bass fre-
quencies or other tuned systems, it is usual to distance
the speakers far from the corners and walls of the ro-
oms. Regarding the height from the oor, we actively
advise you to use suitable Novaudio Eight decoupling
stands (available separately).
As every environment in unique, time, experimenta-
tion and patience are needed to achieve the speakers
full potential. We advise you to start by positioning the
speakers a meter from the back wall and at least half
meter from the side walls. ese measurements can be
related by the following equation: Y2 = XZ (box on
the side).
However, it is only through experimentation that you
will nd the best set up for your own personal envi-
ronment.
Positioning of speaker

Whilst the speakers have been tested (equivalent to 15
hours) before being shipped, they will still need circa
100 hours of usage to reach their optimal sound level
quality. During this period we strongly advise to start
with “so” genres and moderate volumes and then
gradually increase the volume, avoiding spikes in ou-
tput and hard music genres.

In order that your speakers arrive in optimal condi-
tion, they are shipped in a protective, high quality
wood packaging. Remove the speakers from the box
using the handles of the felt bags used to provide fur-
ther protection during shipping. Whenever your sy-
stem in not in use, employ the felt bags to protect your
speakers from dust and sunlight.

Novaudio warrants this product to be free from de-
fects in materials and
workmanship for two years from the original date of
purchase to the rst purchaser only from an appointed
dealer, and agrees to covers the cost of parts and asso-
ciated labour required to correct such defects, subject
to terms & conditions. If the product fails in normal
domestic use and during the warranty period due to
the above described faults or defects, Novaudio will, at
its discretion, repair or replace the item free of charge
within a reasonable time once it has been returned to
Novaudio or an appointed Novaudio dealer or service
engineer. If the product must be shipped, please use
the original wood packaging and include a copy of the
original sales receipt along with a note (including in-
formation of the sound components being used), in as
much detail as possible, along with an explination of
the problems you are experiencing with the unit.
Novaudio is not liable for any shipping charges incur-
red whilst transporting the product to or from Novau-
dio or an appointed Novaudio dealer or authorized
service, should the item require service or repair du-
ring or aer the warranty period. Only use a reputable
Courier Service or Shipping Agent, and ensure that
your product is insured during transit. Any servicing,
repairs or modications not authorized by Novaudio,
or carried out by persons other than appointed No-
vaudio service engineers will invalidate any warranty.
