Default Settings for the PowerMic II in RadWhere™for Radiology, Version 3
Using the PowerMic II
PowerMic II Button Default Setting
LED
The LED turns on when you activate
recording (for example, by pressing the
Dictate button) and turns off when you stop
recording.
Transcribe
Nothing (by default)
Dictate
Toggle dictation on/off: Press and release
to begin dictating your report. Press and
release again to stop recording your
dictation.
Tab Backward
Delete key: Same function as the Delete
key on your keyboard.
Tab Forward
Sign report: Opens the sign report
confirmation dialog box. Press this button
again to finish signing the report.
Rewind
Previous field: Selects the previous fill-in
field.
Fast Forward
Next field: Selects the next fill-in field.
Stop/Play
Toggle microphone on/off: Press and
release to turn microphone on; press and
release again to turn microphone off.
Enter/Select
Nothing (by default)
Button A
Nothing (by default)
Button B
Nothing (by default)
Scan
Nothing (by default): Available only on the
scanning version of this microphone
Left/Right mouse
Performs the same functions as the
standard computer mouse buttons.
Pointing device
Use to position the mouse insertion point
and select objects.
Trigger
Same function as the left mouse button.
(Located on back of microphone.)

Optional Settings for the PowerMic II in RadWhere™for Radiology, Version 3
*If you assign the Sign Report function to any button other than the default Tab Forward button, you must use the Enter/Select
button to finish signing the report.
Click Tools > Preferences > Dictaphone PowerMic to Change Preferences
WARNING: When you finish dictating (in either the Toggle microphone on/off or Use deadman switch mode), remain
silent for a moment until the record LED on your microphone turns off to avoid inserting any unintended additional text into
your report.
