IT - I rifiuti di apparecchiature elettriche ed elettroniche (RAEE) non
possono essere trattati come i normali rifiuti domestici. Provvedere al
riciclo laddove esistono impianti adeguati. Consultare l’ente locale o il

PL - Zużyty sprzęt elektryczny i elektroniczny (WEEE) nie może być
zarządzany jak zwykłe odpady domowe. Przystąpić do recyrkulacji
odpadów w miejscach, gdzie istnieją odpowiednie warunki. Skonsultować

dotyczących gromadzenia i likwidacji odpadów.

Ispezionare le parti danneggiate
Prima di utilizzare ulteriormente l’elettroutensile, questo deve
essere controllato con attenzione per accertarsi che funzioni

Eseguire sempre un’accurata manutenzione degli utensili
Mantenere affilati e puliti gli utensili da taglio onde ottenerne le
prestazionimiglioriepiùsicure.
Seguire le istruzioni di lubrificazione e sostituzione degli
accessori.
Mantenere le impugnature asciutte, pulite e prive di olio e
grasso.
Accertarsichelefessurediventilazionesianosempremantenute
pulite e prive di polvere. Le fessure di ventilazione bloccate
possono causare il surriscaldamento e il danneggiamento del
motore.
Se questa macchina deve essere utilizzata quando si lavora ad
una certa altezza, deve essere utilizzato un ponteggio dotato di
ringhiera e battipiede o una piattaforma a torre, in modo tale da
garantireunaadeguatastabilità.
PROTEGGERSI DALLE SCOSSE ELETTRICHE
Evitare il contatto del corpo con superfici messe a terra o
a massa (per esempio tubazioni, radiatori, lavastoviglie e
frigoriferi).
Cavi di alimentazione
Non strattonare o tirare il cavo di alimentazione per scollegarlo

un cavo o bobina di prolunga a tre conduttori con il filo di terra
collegatoaterra.
Srotolaresemprecompletamentel’eventualecavodiprolunga.
Per i cavi di prolunga fino a 15 metri utilizzare conduttori di
sezione trasversale di 1,5 mm2.
Per i cavi di prolunga più lunghi di 15 metri, ma meno di 40
metri, utilizzare conduttori di sezione trasversale di 2,5 mm2.
Proteggere il cavo di prolunga da oggetti affilati, calore
eccessivoedall’esposizioneall’umiditàoall’acqua.
Questo elettroutensile soddisfa le normative nazionali
e internazionali e i requisiti di sicurezza. Le riparazioni
devono essere eseguite unicamente da personale
qualificato, utilizzando pezzi di ricambio originali. Se

Non usare mai mole danneggiate. Le mole che presentano
incrinature, tacche o parti consumate potrebbero spezzarsi,
causando l’infortunio dell’addetto e delle persone nelle
vicinanze,einoltredannodellamacchina.
Non usare mole di diametro superiore a quello specificato, ma
solo mole di potenza idonea per la macchina. La velocità di
rotazioneindicatasullamoladevesempreessereMAGGIORE
diquelladellamacchina.
Utilizzare esclusivamente mole di tipo consigliato dal
produttore.
Installare sempre il disco intermedio o le rondelle incarta sui
latidellamola.
Quando si installa una nuova mola, accertarsi sempre che i
dischi intermedi siano in posizione; montare il lato concavo delle
rondelle rivolto verso la mola e stringere saldamente il dado di
blocco.
Nonstringere eccessivamente(in casocontrario, sirischia di
incrinarelamola).
Non tentare di modificare in alcun modo la macchina o gli
accessori.
Nonesercitareforzaeccessivasullamola.Usareunapressione
graduale, che riduce il consumo della molatrice da banco e sulle
moleeneaccrescel’efficienzaeladuratautile.
Usare occhiali e visori di sicurezza di tipo approvato, una
maschera idonea per il viso e, se si usa la macchina per lungo
tempo,munirsidiprotezioniperleorecchie.
Non avviare la macchina col pezzo in lavorazione a contatto
con la mola, oppure prima di aver controllato la posizione
dell’appoggioperl’utensile.
Non applicare mai il pezzo sul lato della mola, altrimenti
quest’ultimapotrebbespezzarsi.
Teneresempreleprotezioniinstallateedinbuonostato.Dopo
aver scollegato la macchina dall’alimentazione di rete, verificare
cheleprotezionisianobensaldeemontateinmodocorretto.
Tenere sempre l’appoggio per l’utensile il più vicino possibile
allamola.Lospaziofral’appoggioperl’utensileelamolanon
devesuperare3mm.
Non cercare di molare oggetti troppo piccoli per poter essere

Non servirsi del pezzo in lavorazione per rallentare la mola dopo

polveridinaturaesplosiva.Atitolodiprecauzionesiconsigliadi
rivolgersi ad un esperto per la selezione e l’uso di un estintore
ditipocorretto.
Leparticellemetalliche(scintille)generateduranteleoperazioni
di molatura scottano e possono portare all’accensione di
qualunquematerialecombustibilepresentenellevicinanze.

Far riparare l’elettroutensile da una persona

Proteggere i mobili

mobili e i pavimenti mediante un’adatta copertura
contro la polvere.
Precauzioni antincendio
Quando si utilizzano certi elettroutensili all’interno
dell’abitazione domestica o laboratorio, occorre
osservare le precauzioni generali antincendio.
Come misura cautelativa, si raccomanda di
consultare un esperto su come procurarsi e utilizzare
un adatto estintore antincendio.
ISTRUZIONI SPECIFICHE PER LA
SICUREZZA
Fare estrema attenzione!
Ai ricorda che la vernice che riveste i vecchi
componenti metallici e di legno potrebbe avere un
contenuto estremamente alto di piombo. Fare
estrema attenzione quando si smerigliano le
superfici verniciate. La polvere potrebbe infatti
contenere PIOMBO che, se toccato, ingerito o
inalato, provocherà avvelenamento con rischio di
morte.
Qualsiasi stabile edificato prima del 1960 potrebbe
presentare superfici e strutture metalliche o di legno
verniciate con prodotti contenenti piombo.
STOP!
Se si sospetta che la vernice contenga piombo,
rivolgersi ad un addetto specializzato.
Quando il piombo penetra nell’organismo, vi rimane
fino a raggiungere un livello di esposizione fatale.
Anche un’esposizione limitata può causare danni
irreversibili al cervello e al sistema nervoso. I bambini
e le donne in stato di gravidanza sono
particolarmente a rischio.
ATTENZIONE!
Alcuni tipi di legno e prodotti simili al legno, in
particolare l’MDF (Fibra a media densità) possono
generare polvere in grado di nuocere alla salute. Si
consiglia quindi di utilizzare una maschera di tipo
approvato e provvista di filtri sostituibili , e inoltre di
utilizzare la funzione di aspirazione della polvere.
ISTRUZIONI PER LA SICUREZZA
ATTENZIONE!
Verificare sempre che la spina degli elettroutensili
venga disinserita dalla presa elettrica quando non si
desidera usarli, prima delle riparazioni, della
lubrificazione e inoltre prima di cambiare gli
accessori, come lame, punte e frese.
Utilizzare sempre la mola di tipo corretto per
l’operazione da eseguire e per il materiale in
lavorazione.
Non usare la mola come disco di taglio.
Utilizzare solo mole in buone condizioni. Questo
migliorerà la qualità del risultato ottenibile e ridurrà
il carico sulla macchina, a garanzia di maggiore
durata di mola e macchina.
Non usare mai mole danneggiate. Le mole che
presentano incrinature, tacche o parti consumane
potrebbero spezzarsi, causando l’infortunio
dell’addetto e delle persone nelle vicinanze, e inoltre
danno della macchina.
Non usare mole di diametro superiore a quello
specificato, ma solo mole di potenza idonea per la
macchina. La velocità di rotazione indicata sulla
mola deve sempre essere MAGGIORE di quella della
macchina.
Utilizzare esclusivamente mole di tipo consigliato dal
produttore.
Installare sempre il disco intermedio o le rondelle in

ISTRUZIONI SPECIFICHE PER LA

Fare estrema attenzione!
Ai ricorda che la vernice che riveste i vecchi
componenti metallici e di legno potrebbe avere un
contenuto estremamente alto di piombo. Fare
estrema attenzione quando si smerigliano le
superfici verniciate. La polvere potrebbe infatti
contenere PIOMBO che, se toccato, ingerito o
inalato, provocherà avvelenamento con rischio di
morte.
Qualsiasi stabile edificato prima del 1960 potrebbe
presentare superfici e strutture metalliche o di legno
verniciate con prodotti contenenti piombo.
STOP!
Se si sospetta che la vernice contenga piombo,
rivolgersi ad un addetto specializzato.
Quando il piombo penetra nell’organismo, vi rimane
fino a raggiungere un livello di esposizione fatale.
Anche un’esposizione limitata può causare danni
irreversibili al cervello e al sistema nervoso. I bambini
e le donne in stato di gravidanza sono
particolarmente a rischio.
ATTENZIONE!
Alcuni tipi di legno e prodotti simili al legno, in
particolare l’MDF (Fibra a media densità) possono
generare polvere in grado di nuocere alla salute. Si
consiglia quindi di utilizzare una maschera di tipo
approvato e provvista di filtri sostituibili , e inoltre di
utilizzare la funzione di aspirazione della polvere.
ISTRUZIONI PER LA SICUREZZA
ATTENZIONE!
Verificare sempre che la spina degli elettroutensili
venga disinserita dalla presa elettrica quando non si
desidera usarli, prima delle riparazioni, della
lubrificazione e inoltre prima di cambiare gli
accessori, come lame, punte e frese.
Utilizzare sempre la mola di tipo corretto per
l’operazione da eseguire e per il materiale in
lavorazione.
Non usare la mola come disco di taglio.
Utilizzare solo mole in buone condizioni. Questo
migliorerà la qualità del risultato ottenibile e ridurrà
il carico sulla macchina, a garanzia di maggiore
durata di mola e macchina.
Non usare mai mole danneggiate. Le mole che
presentano incrinature, tacche o parti consumane
potrebbero spezzarsi, causando l’infortunio
dell’addetto e delle persone nelle vicinanze, e inoltre
danno della macchina.
Non usare mole di diametro superiore a quello
specificato, ma solo mole di potenza idonea per la
macchina. La velocità di rotazione indicata sulla
mola deve sempre essere MAGGIORE di quella della
macchina.
Utilizzare esclusivamente mole di tipo consigliato dal
produttore.
Installare sempre il disco intermedio o le rondelle in
carta sui lati della mola.
Quando si installa una nuova mola, accertarsi
sempre che i dischi intermedi siano in posizione;

La molatrice si può ulteriormente fissare con viti o dadi e
bulloni.Individuareiforidifissaggio(4.1).Lalunghezzadelle
vitidipenderàdallospessoredelbancodilavoro.Nelcasoincui
il banco di lavoro fosse in acciaio, si ottengono risultati migliori
fissando la molatrice su un piano appoggiato alla superficie del
bancoinmododaridurrenotevolmentelevibrazioni.Dopoaver
fissato la molatrice sul banco di lavoro montare tutti gli utensili
perilfissaggioeperlamolaturaelaprotezioneindotazione.

AVVIAMENTO/ACCENSIONE DELLA MACCHINA

Prima di collegare la macchina all’alimentazione, bisogna
controllare che tutte le mole si muovano liberamente e non
siano bloccate. Collegare la macchina all’alimentazione e
premerel’interruttoreportandolosullaposizioneaccesa(5.2).
Per fermare la macchina portare l’interruttore sulla posizione
spenta(5.1).
RIMOZIONE PROTEZIONE DELLA MOLA (Fig. 6)
Prima di effettuare qualsiasi lavoro di installazione bisogna
scollegaredallareteelettricalaMOLADABANCO.Attendere
finoaquandolemolesarannocompletamenteferme.

RIMOZIONE MOLA (Figg. 7-8)
Teneresaldamentelamolaopposta,normalmenteèsufficiente
una pressione manuale (in caso di mola usurata potrebbe
essere necessario bloccare la mola usando un pezzetto di
legno).Qualorasianecessariosostituirelamola,rimuovereil
controdado(7.1)conl’ausiliodiunachiaveda19mm,laflangia
esterna,larondelladicarta(7.3).Rimuoverelamola(8.1).E’
inoltre necessario rimuovere la rondella di carta e controllarne
lostatodiusura.
Ricordarsi di riposizionare la rondella di carta nello stesso
postoduranteilrimontaggio.
Controllare l’usura di entrambe le rondelle, sostituirle se
necessario.
Montarelanuovamola(disponibiledalrivenditoreautorizzato)
e ripetere a ritroso la procedura suddetta. Ricordarsi che il
dado di bloccaggio della mola sul lato destro della macchina
è dotato di una filettatura standard destrorsa (per svitarla
occorreràgirarlo insenso antiorario).Il dadosullato sinistro
ha una filettatura sinistrorsa (per svitarlo occorrerà girarlo in
sensoorario).
N.B.: Se la macchina è utilizzata all’interno di un ambiente
industriale, del montaggio della mola e del nastro per
smerigliatura dovranno occuparsi esclusivamente tecnici
qualificati.

Le informazioni seguenti sono semplicemente una guida ai
diversitipidimoleeairispettiviimpieghi.
TIPI DI GRANA ABRASIVA
Le mole sono realizzate in quattro principali tipi di grana
abrasiva:ossidodialluminio,carburodisilicio,CBN(nitrurodi
borocubico)ediamante.Èprobabilecheuseretesolomolein
ossidodialluminiooincarburodisiliciopergliusidomestici.
Entrambi i tipi di mole sono disponibili dal rivenditore degli
elettroutensili.
Le dimensioni della grana rientrano in quattro principali
categorie:grossa,media,fineefinissima.

TIPI DI IMPASTO
Sono cinque i principali agenti di impasto per le mole, ossia
ceramica (vetrificata), resina fenolica, gomma, gommalacca
e metallo. L’abrasivo può essere legato strettamente alle
particelle,oppurepresentarespazifraunaparticellael’altra.Il
materialeperimpastocreaunlegafraciascunagrana.Glispazi
fralegranedeterminanoladensitàdellamola(incasodispazi
larghi si avranno mole aperte, oppure mole chiuse o dense nel
casodispazipiccoli).
La struttura viene misurata su una scala da 0 a 14, in cui 0
significamoltochiusa e 14molto aperta, con larghispazi fra
unagranael’altra.
DUREZZA (O GRADO) DELLA MOLA
Ilgrado o durezzadella mola èla resistenzadell’impastofra
legraneabrasive.Ladurezza dellemolevieneclassificata in
ordinealfabetico:lemoleditipoda‘A’a‘D’sonomoltomorbide,
mentrequelleda‘V’a‘Z’sonomoltodure.Lemoleditipo‘K’
(come nell’illustrazione qui sotto) sono mole di durezza da
morbidaamedia.

Normalmente le mole in dotazione con le molatrici da banco
sono“N”perscaladidurezza,ossiadure.
Non cercare di affilare con questa particolare mola utensili,
coltelli, forbici di carburo oppure utensili in acciaio rapido
(puntedipiallettiperscanalature,torniperlegno).Lemoledi
tipostandardnontaglianoilcarburo.Sesitentadiutilizzarle,
cisilimitaagenerarecaloreeperditadiabrasivitàdellamola.
Le mole dure bruciano le punte di pialletto per scanalature e
altriutensili in acciaiorapido. Se gliutensili vanno soggettia
surriscaldamento,perdonoladurezzaediventanoinutilizzabili.
Lemole morbidecedono durantelamolatura. Conl’uso solo
una piccola quantità di materiale viene asportata e la mola
rilasciapochegraneallavolta,presentandonuovifiliditaglio.
Questo aiuta ad evitare il surriscaldamento dell’utensile e dà
unamolaturapiùfine.
La tabella 2 mostra le varie durezze delle mole e i rispettivi
impieghi.

When fitting a new wheel ensure blotters are in place, fit
concave side of washers to face the wheel and tighten the lock
nutfirmly.
Do not Over tighten (over tightening can crack a grinding
wheel).Donotattempttomodifythemachineoritsaccessories
inanyway.
Do not use excessive force on the grinding wheel. Only use
gradual pressure as this will reduce the wear on the bench
grinder and grinding wheels and increase its efficiency and
operatinglife.
Use approved safety glasses or goggles, face mask and if being
usedforanextendedperiodweareardefenders.
Do not start the machine with the work piece in contact with the
grindingwheelorbeforecheckingthepositionofthetoolrest.
Never apply the work piece to the side of the grinding wheel, this
couldcausethegrindingwheeltoshatter.
Keep Guards in place and in good working order. With the
machine disconnected from the mains supply check that the
guardsaresecureandfittedcorrectly.
Always keep the tool rest as close to the grinding wheel as
possible.Thegapbetweenthetoolrestandthegrindingwheel
shouldbenomorethan3mm.
Donotattempttogrindobjectsthataretoosmalltoholdsafely.
Do not use the work piece to slow down the grinding wheel once
themachinehasbeenswitchedoff.

Do not use Bench Grinders in areas where there is a risk of
explosion or fire from combustible materials, flammable liquids,
paint, varnish, petrol etc. flammable gases and dust of an
explosivenature.Asaprecautionitisrecommendedthatyou
consultanexpertonasuitablefireextinguisheranditsuse.
Themetalparticles(Sparks)whichareproducedduringgrinding
are hot and could ignite any combustible material in the vicinity
oftheoperation.

BENCH GRINDER ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS (Pic. 2)
To mount the spark guard, unscrew the bolt and remove the
nut(2.1).Placetheboltinthesparkguardgrooveandthehole
inthegrinderbody.Applythenutandfinger-tightenitslightly.
Position the spark guard so that it does not come into contact
withthegrindingwheel.Tightenthenutfirmly.
WORK REST FOOT ASSEMBLY (Pic. 3)
Workrest feetareessentiallyfactory-mounted, howeverthey
may require additional adjustment. Loosen the bolts (3.1),
leaving a clearance of about 3 mm between the work rest and
thegrindingwheel.
GRINDER MOUNTING TO A BENCH (Pic. 4)
The grinder can be additionally secured with screws or bolts
andnuts.Locate themountingholes (4.1).The lengthofthe
boltsdepends onthe thicknessofthebench.If thebench is
made of a strong steel casting, best results are achieved if
the grinder is mounted on a board placed on the bench, which
significantlyreducesvibrations.Aftermountingthetooltothe
bench, attach all accessories for mounting and grinding, as well
asstandard-equipmentguards.Thetoolisnowreadyforuse.
STARTING & STOPPING (Pic. 5)
Before connecting the tool to a power supply source, check
whetherallwheelscanmovefreelyanddonotbind.Connect
the tool to a power supply source and press the rocker switch
totheONposition(5.2).Tostopthemachine,presstherocker
switchtotheOFFposition(5.1).
REMOVING THE GRINDING WHEEL GUARD (Pic. 6)
Before proceeding to any assembly work, switch off the BENCH
GRINDERfrommainssupply.Waituntilgrindingwheelsstop
rotating.
Inordertoremovethegrindingwheelguard(6.2),unscrewits
threefixingboltsandnuts(6.1).
REMOVING THE GRINDING WHEEL (Pics. 7-8)
Hold the other wheel firmly, usually hand pressure should be
sufficient(ifthewheelisworn,itmaybenecessarytojamitwith
asmallpieceofwood).Ifthewheelneedsreplacing,remove
thelockingnut(7.1)witha19mmspanner,outerflangeand
thepaperwasher(7.3.).Removethegrindingwheel(8.1).Also
removethepaperwasherandcheckitforwear.
Do not forget to put the paper washer back in place when
assemblingbackthetool.
Checkbothpaperwashersforwear,andreplaceifrequired.
Fitanewgrindingwheel(availablefromanauthorisedreseller/
supplier), and repeat the above procedure in reverse order.
Rememberthatthelockingnutofthewheelontherightside
of the grinder has a standard right-handed thread (turn it in
ananti-clockwisedirection forloosening).Thenutontheleft
sidehasaleft-handedthread(turn itinaclockwisedirection
forloosening).
Note:Whenusedinanindustrialenvironmentgrindingwheel
andsandingbeltshouldonlybefittedbyafullyqualifiedperson.
Replacementwheelsareavailablefromyourlocalstockist.
GRINDING WHEEL INFORMATION
The following information is a guide only on the different types of
grindingwheelsandtheiruses.
TYPES OF ABRASIVE GRAIN
Grinding wheels are made of four main types of abrasive grain:
aluminiumoxide,siliconcarbide,CBN(cubicboronnitrideand
diamond. In the home workshop you will probably only use
wheels of aluminium oxide or silicon carbide. Both types are
availablefromyourtoolstockist.
Grain size is separated into four main categories: course,
medium,fineandveryfine.
Table1showsthebreakdownofgrainsizeineachcategory.
Youwillprobablyneverneedacoarsewheel.Formostworka
mediumorfinewheelisrecommended.

TYPES OF BOND.
There are five main kinds of bonding agents namely, ceramic
(vitrified), phenolic resin, rubber, shellac and metal. The
abrasive can be bonded with its particles close together or with
spacesbetweeneach grain particle.Bond material creates a
link between each grain. The spaces between the grains will
determine how dense the wheel is, large spaces will give an
openwheelandsmallerspaceswillgiveacloseordensewheel.
Thestructureismeasuredonascaleof0-14with0beingvery
closeand14beingveryopenwithwidespacingbetweenthe
grains.
WHEEL HARDNESS, OR GRADE.
Grade or hardness is the strength of bonding between the
abrasive grains. Wheel hardness is graded alphabetically, in
increasingorderofhardness;lettersAthroughDrepresentvery
softwheels,andlettersVthroughZrepresentveryhardones.
Letter K in the illustration below represents a soft to medium
wheel.

The number shown in the above illustration is an example of
a grinding wheel description. 9A means that the abrasive is
aluminum oxide 46 means that the grain size is medium, K
means that the wheel is soft, 5 means that the wheel is dense, V
standsforvitrifiedbondingand22isthemanufacturer’ssymbol.
Wheelssuppliedwithbenchgrindersaregenerally“N”onthe
hardnessscale,whichisconsideredhard.Donottrytosharpen
carbidetools,knives,scissorsorhigh-speedtools(routerbits
woodturningtools)withthishardwheel.Astandardwheelwill
not cut
carbide.Ifyoutry,youwillonlycreateheatandglazeoverthe
wheel.Hardwheelswillburnrouterbitsandotherhigh-speed
tools. Overheating the tools will destroy their hardness and
render them useless. Soft wheels give themselves up while
grinding.
When grinding, only a small amount of material is removed,
and the wheel releases grains a little at a time, presenting new
cuttingedges.Thisreleasingactivityhelpstokeepthetoolfrom
heatingupandgivesafinergrindingresult.
