Remote Control Unit Learning Procedure:
Please follow these simple steps for STB Remote Control Unit and TV Remote Control Unit Pairing
a. Keep two remote’s windows distance of 3mm.
b. Press and hold SET key until LED comes on the STB remote control unit.
c. Press the key on STB remote control unit that needs to be learned until the LED blinks on the
STB remote control unit.
d. Press and hold the key on TV remote control unit to be learned, until LED blinks thrice on the
STB remote control unit.
e. Repeat step (c) & (d) to setup other keys.
f. Press SET key to save and exit. LED switches off on the STB remote control unit.
How To Start
Step1- Power on TV and STB.
Step2- Press “AV / HDMI” Button on TV set, make sure the port connected to STB (AV or
HDMI) is enabled.
Step3- STB will proceed to Auto Tuning automatically. After Auto Tuning, TV set will receive the
broadcast programs.
Step4- Press MENU button on the remote to access Main Menu; for other operations, details
can be found in the following chapter.
Step5- Power-off: Press Power/ Standby on the STB remote control unit to switch STB to
standby status.
Suggestion: In order to save energy, please turn off the Power if you are not watching TV.
Procedures:
lPress MENU button to enter to STB main menu.
lPress up and down button to move selective cursor.
lPress OK to select a menu option.
Note: Please refer to the instructions at the bottom of the menu.
General Operations
Digital TV channels/ Digital Radio
This feature refers to viewing digital TV programs and listening to digital radio programs.
Operation:
lPress CH+/CH- or select numeric button on the remote control unit to select channel;
lPress VOLUME+/ - button on the remote control unit to adjust volume.
Note:
lIn general, watching digital TV programs requires authorization from the operator.
Please obtain the necessary authorizations for your packages from the operator.
lThe number of programs and program types are determined by local operators.
Please consult local cable operator if you have any questions.
Management
Channel Edit
To perform channel locking, manage favorite channel list.
lChannels can be locked from this menu, and locked channels can viewed by entering
the password upon selection.
lFrequently viewed channels can be stored in Favorite channel list and the “FAV” button
on the remote can be used to access the favorite channel lists.
Program Reminder
Programs can be reserved/ booked from the program guide. A reminder will be displayed
before the start of the reserved/ booked program and the channel will be switched to that
program once it starts. Reserved/ Booked programs can also be cancelled from the booking
menu.
General Setting
General Setting is composed of Screen, Volume, Language and other miscellaneous settings.

Games
The STB supports a few stand- alone games that can be played with the remote control unit.
ADVANCED OPERATION
Frequency Setting
This is usually used by the field service technician for setting the default frequency in the cable
operator network. In general, please do not make any changes in this setting in the absence of
field services technicians.
Program Search
The program search is initiated to collect information about the broadcast channels whenever a
new STB is connected to the network, When the factory default option is selected and when the
channel line-up is changed by the operator.
ŸAuto Search : Auto tuning of all available channels in the cable input.
Modify Password
Password is required for viewing locked channels, channel editing, resetting the STB to factory
settings. The default password is of 6 digits and can be modified by user. If you lose or forget your
password, please contact the customer service centre for assistance.
Factory Reset
This is used to reset the STB to factory default settings. All user-defined settings will be lost when
doing a factory reset by pressing the “Factory Default” option in the menu. After a factory reset the
STB will need to go through an auto-tuning process in order to view channels. Please be careful
when selecting the “Factory Default” option as all stored information and settings will be lost.

Information
Bmail
ŸProvides access to read mail messages. After entering the “Bmail” menu, user can
browse mail messages and also delete them.
ŸMessages sent by the operator can be viewed in the “Bmail” menu on the STB
System Upgrade
Upon receiving an upgrade request from the head-end, a message will be shown on the screen
to indicate the progress of the upgrade process. The STB will usually reboot automatically after
the upgrade process is completed. In the event of a failure in the upgrade process, the STB will
re-initiate the upgrade process after the next reboot.
Note: do not switch off the power while the STB upgrade is in progress as it may damage
STB permanently.
Connect to WiFi
Step1- Press Menu Option. Step4- Enter Password of WiFi router.
Step2- Go to WiFi Option. Step5- Press Connect.
Step3- Select the WiFi option.
Web Applications
In Menu go to web icon then press ok:

lGoogle MAPS
YouTube
You can search any video in search option. You
can select video quality by pressing red key.
Change of Resolution in YouTube
1. Press Menu.
2. Go to YouTube option and press OK.
3. A list of videos will appear in the YouTube window.
4. Press red key to change the resolution from 360p
(lowest resolution) to 1080p (highest resolution).
Change of Resolution in DailyMotion
1. Press Menu.
2. Go to DailyMotion option and press OK.
3. A list of videos will appear in the DailyMotion
window.
4. Press red key to change the resolution from
360p (lowest resolution) to 1080p (highest
resolution).
Weather
You can view weather of any city by pressing
green button to add a new city to the Weather
application.
Google Maps
Daily Motion
DLNA
You can search the Google Maps by pressing Red
Key.
To search for a video use the Search Option. You
can select video resolution quality by pressing the
red key.
a. Connect the STB and phone on the same WIFI
network
b. Open the DLNA application on the STB
c. Open a DLNA application on your phone. You
can download these from your mobile vendor's
application store. Examples of these applications
include AllCast, Tubio etc.
d. Connect the casting application on the STB
using DLNA.
Home Security
a. Select Home Security application from menu.
b. Press the green key to open the camera menu.
c. Select the type of device to be added and enter
the IP address of the IP camera in order to
view this from the STB.
e. Open the application in your phone and press the screen share icon and select
“HBOX2C MINI”.
f. After successful connection you can cast pictures and videos to your television from your
mobile.

Information
Bmail
ŸProvides access to read mail messages. After entering the “Bmail” menu, user can

Event Recording Feature
a. This feature is used to record a particular event or program on a specified channel some time
in the future. This feature is available only on those channels for which the EPG (electronic
program guide) is displayed. In order to record an event:
Unlimited Recording Feature
1. Insert a USB or external supportable hard disk.
2. Press “Rec” buon on the remote control unit to start
recording.
3. If you want to stop recording at any point press green
key.
4. The recorded video will automacally save in USB which
can be accessed from media opon available in main
menu screen. (USB Photo)
Favourites
1. Press Menu on the remote control unit.
2. Go to Setup and press OK.
3. Use the Password "000000" to enter setup.
4. Select Channel Manage.
5. A channel list will appear.
6. Use yellow key to select Favourite channel.
7. You can then View Favourite Channel list by pressing FAV key in the remote control unit.
Radio Music
1. Press Menu on the remote control unit.
2. Select Radio Logo.
3. The STB will then display the list of all the radio
channels available.
Planner or Event Planner
1. Press EPG Button on the remote control unit.
2. Move to Desired Event using red key.
3. Select the Event by pressing OK.
Time Shift Feature
a. The Time Shift function is used to play and pause
live television by using and external USB or Hard
Disk.
i. Insert a USB or external supported hard disk to
the STB using a USB cable. The STB will display
a message showing “USB device inserted”.
ii. Press the red key to pause live television.
iii. Use the same red key to play from the point
when the video was paused.
iv. To stop and exit the Time Shift Feature mode press the green key on the remote control unit.
v. Select “Yes” on the message that appears on screen.
i. Press the EPG button on the remote control unit
ii. Select the desired channel on which the event or
program will be running
iii. Move to the event list by clicking the red button.
iv. Use the navigation keys to select the specific
event to be recorded
v. Press the yellow key to record the selected event
vi. The event recording will start at the time indicated in the EPG window.

WiFi Setting
This setting Menu is used to connect STB with WiFi access point. Please keep in mind that
WiFi Dongle (an external WiFi hardware device) should be connected with STB in order to
connect with WiFi hotspot.
1. Open Main Menu
2. Select WiFi.
3. If there is a WiFi Network in the Vicinity of STB
then it will show in the WiFi Network List.
4. Select the Known Network.
5. STB will then ask for Password if the WiFi network is secured.
