This user's guide covers the installation Skyworth C3600B set-top box which includes step by
step configuration of all features available
Information captured in this document is subject to change. Skyworth reserves the right, to

1. Read, follow and keep these instructions safely.
2. Heed all warnings.
1. Do not use this apparatus near water.
2. Clean only with dry cloth.
3. Do not block any ventilation openings. Install in accordance with the manufacturer’s
instructions.
4. Do not install near any heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other
apparatus (including amplifiers) that produce heat.
5. The parameter of the using power source should be accordance with that indicated on the
rear panel; otherwise the machine will work improperly and can be damaged.
6. Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched, particularly at plug points,
convenience receptacles, and the point where they exit from the apparatus.
7. Only use attachments/accessories specified by the manufacturer.
8. To prolong the useful life of this machine, please do not keep pressing buttons for prolonged
periods.
9. Use only those parts specified by the manufacturer, or sold with the apparatus.
10. Unplug this apparatus during lightning storms or when unused for long periods of time.
11. Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel and authorised service centres. Servicing
is required when the apparatus has been damaged in any way, including damage to power-
supply cord or plug is damaged, liquid has been spilled or objects/liquid have fallen into the
apparatus, the apparatus has been exposed to rain or moisture, does not operate normally, or
has been dropped.
12. Warning: This unit should only be serviced by an authorized and properly trained
technician or service centre. Opening the cover or other attempts by the user to service this
unit may result in serious injury or death from electrical shock, and may increase the risk of fire
and will void the warranty.
13. Please switch off the MAINS electricity before disconnecting the device.
14. The signal cable must be earthed to the system.
15. No naked flame sources, such as lighted candles, should be placed on or near the
apparatus.
Note: All the on-screen display messages and illustrations in this manual may be somewhat
different from those on the actual apparatus.
WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not expose this product to rain or
moisture. Apparatus must not be exposed to dripping or splashing. Ensure that it is not placed
under any objects filled with liquids, such as vases. Refer to the identification/rating label
located on the back panel of your product for its proper operating voltage.
Batteries must not be exposed to excessive heat such as direct sunlight, fire or other heat
source. For applicable power supply details, see information contained in this User Manual.

PREPARATION OF REMOTE CONTROL
1. Open the battery cover.
2. Insert the batteries in the correct direction. Please ensure that the anode and cathode ends of
the battery are corresponding to the polarity indicated in the remote control.
3. Replace the battery cover.
OPERATION SCOPE OF THE REMOTE
CONTROL
Point the remote control towards the Set Top Box in order
to control the apparatus, ensuring that the Set Top Box is
not obstructed in any way.
1. Distance: the remote control will work up to seven
meters from the SetTop Box.
2. Angle: The remote control will work up to 30 degrees
right or left of the Set Top Box panel.
PRECAUTIONS ABOUT BATTERIES
Improper use of batteries may cause corrosion or fluid leakage. Please observe the following
instructions for the safe use of batteries.
1. Insert the batteries taking care to ensure that they are facing the correct way.
2. Never leave dead batteries in the remote control.
3. Remove batteries from the remote controller if it is not going to be used for an extended
period of time
4. Do not attempt to disassemble, short-circuit, heat, recharge or throw the batteries into any fire
source if even if they are not working.
5. Do not use new batteries and old ones together. Use batteries of the same type together.
6. Wipe away any electrolyte fluid that may have leaked into the remote controller before
inserting new batteries.

To search programs automatically, select ‘’Auto Search”’ and press OK.
1.2 Auto Search
Installation
Following Sub-menus will be displayed when you select
the “Installation” menu :
- Manual Search
- Auto Search
- Tech Setting
- Delete all
- Factory Default
1.1 Manual Search
You will be prompted to enter password when you select
“Manual Search” and Press OK. The default password is
"0000".
Scan Mode: You will be prompted to select scan ‘by
frequency’ and by channel.
Enter values using number keys for Start Frequency
and Symbol rate.
Once you have installed and powered on the Set Top Box the main menu list will be
displayed as follows:
Use these keys to navigate up/down and select required options
Use these keys to navigate main menu and left /right to select the required options.
At any point of time press EXIT key to go back to the previous menu
Scan QAM:
Press key to get a drop list,then.
Press to Navigate and select QAM.
Press OK key to start Manual search.

1.3 Tech Setting
2. Channel
Following sub-menus will be displayed when you
select the “Channel” menu:
- EPG Information
- TV Manager
- Radio Manager
- Genres
2.1 EPG Information
Select EPG Information to open EPG information window
1.4 Delete All
Select Delete All , and press OK key to open the Delete
Window.
Now you can select delete TV, delete Radio or delete All
programs options.
You will be prompted to enter password when you Press OK
after selecting the required option.(the default pass word
is:0000.)
This feature is only for technical staff.
1.5 Factory Default
This option will re-set all settings of the set-top box to
factory default.
Select ‘Factory Default” option and press OK key. The
‘Input Password’ window will be displayed. Enter the
password in the window. The default password is 0000.
On entering the password you will be displayed a warning
message and prompted to re-confirm selection.
Press OK to confirm.
On entering the password you will be prompted to re-confirm selection via a dialogue box"
Are you sure you want to clear all the channel info?".
Select OK to delete and save,
Select Exit and to exit without saving.
Press red key to enter single EPG mode
Press OK key to book program.
Press INFO key to pop up information window.

2. Press red key to open Favorite window.
In Rename window, press green colour key to switch
between capital letter and lower letter.
Press red colour key to delete the character on the
cursor;
Press keys to move the cursor left or right;
Use keypad to input the characters
Press yellow colour key to confirm, or press blue key to
cancel and exit.
Press OK key to pop up rename window
2.2 TV Manager
1.Use keys to navigate and select the program
that you want to view, and then press OK key to
view it in the small window.
Single EPG Mode
In Single EPG screen the program schedule of each channel
is displayed.
Press keys on the left hand side to select a channel. EPG
program guide information will be displayed on the right
hand side.
Press INFO key to see the brief introduction of the
program.
Press ‘BLUE’ key to start your booking corresponding to
the event.
Press 'REC' key to start your recording corresponding to
the event
In ‘Favorite List’ you can select the favorite group.
Use keys toswitch among Favorite group list,
Favorite channel list and Program list.
Select the program and press OK key to add it into
Favorite TV channel list.
Press EXIT key to save and exit

2.4 Genres
Press green key for upward navigation on the page.
Press yellow key for downward navigation of the page.
Press OK key to select.
2.3 Radio Edit
Same as Program Edit.

Following sub-menus will be displayed when you select the “Channel” menu :
3. In ‘Operation List’ select the option ‘Lock Item’. Then
select the program from the program list and press OK
to select the program. This program will now appear in
the ‘Selected List’. To remove the program selection,
select the program from the ‘Selected List’ and press
OK to remove it from the ‘Selected List’.

Select the channel from the ‘Selected List’ and press
OK. The channel will be removed from the ‘Selected
List’.
In the ‘Operation List’ select the ‘Skip Item’ option.

Volume Type: Select between Separable and Unitive.
Default volume: Select from 0-31.
Sound Track Type: Select between Separable and
Unitive.
Default Sound Track: Select among Mix, Stereo, Left
and Right.
3.2 Audio
3.3 Lock
When you select the Lock (Parental Lock) option you will
be prompted to enter the password. (The default password
is 0000).
1. Menu Lock: Press VOL+ ,VOL- keys to select between
Off and On. If the Menu lock is "On" you cannot access
most of the menu options without entering the password.
2. Program Lock: Press VOL+,VOL- keys to select between Off and On for a particular
channel set. The default value is Off. If Program lock is "On", you cannot view the locked
channel set in Chanel List Edit window until you have entered the correct password.
3. STB Lock: Select between On and Off.
4. New Password: Use numeric key (0-9) to input the new password.
5. Change Password: You will be prompted to enter the new password and to confirm
password.
3.1 Video
SD Video Mode:
Display Scale: S
Display Mode: S
Select between PAL and NTSC.
elect the display size to use.

Switch Channel Mode: Select among Freeze, Black
and Fade In/Out.
Banner Time: Banner Time specifies the duration for
which volume bar appears on the screen and the
duration for which the program information appears on
the screen when you switch the channel.

3.5 Power Setting
Turn On Time: Select the time for switching on the Set Top
Box.
Turn Off Time: Select the time for switching off the Set Top
Box.
4. Service
Following sub-menus will be displayed when you
select the “Service” menu:
- Storage Device Setup
- PVR Setup
- Media Player
- USB Speed Check
- Timer Manager
3.4 Language
OSD Language: English.
Default Audio Language: English.
3.6 Software Upgrade
Press OK key to start software upgrade if the new software
is available in the network.
This is used to set when to automatically switch the Set Top
Box on or off. To enable this, turn Auto On option to ON.

4.1 Storage Device Setup
4.2 PVR Setup
You can check the total space, free space, used space
and type of device connected to the set-top box using
this option.
Press red key to remove the USB device safely.
Press blue key to format the USB device.
1. Timeshift Status: Select enable or disable.
2. Timeshift Step(Minute:Second): Press number
key(0-9) to input.
3. Timeshift Duration(Hour:Minute): Press number
key(0-9) to input.
4. Start Record earlier: Select from 0minute-5minute.
5. End Record later: Select from 0minute-5minute.
6. REC Icon: Select among On, 5sec and 10sec.\
4.3 Media Player
Using Media Player menu you can play the program you
have recorded.
PVR:
Press “3” to view the recorded program in full screen view.
Press " " keys to fast forward or rewind. Press " "
key to stop playing and exit the full screen mode.
Press red key to select or cancel selected recording.
Press green key to cancel all selected recordings.
Press blue key to switch.
Record program
Please make sure that your USB storage device is
correctly connected to the Set Top Box before recording
any program.
Press yellow key to enter option mode. In this mode you can delete the files. Press red key
to delete, press green key to copy, press yellow key to cut, press blue key to cancel the
option mode.

In normal mode, if you press RECORD key on the remote
control unit, then the “ ” will appear on the screen to
indicate that recording has started.
To stop recording a program, press the “ ” key. This will
prompt you to confirm that you want to stop recording the
program.
4.4 USB Speed Check
To check the speed of your USB device, select USB
Speed Check from the menu and press OK.
5. Information
Following sub-menus will be displayed when you
select the “Information” menu:
- Help Information
- CA Information
- Smart Card Information
- Mail List
5.1 Help Information
Select Help Information menu and press OK to
open the Help Information Window.

5.2 CA Information
5.3 Smart Card Information
Select Smart Card Information menu and press OK to
see the Smart Card Information.

5.4 Mail List
Press key to select the mail you received, and
press OK key to read it. Press EXIT key to quit.
Press blue key to delete the mail you selected.
Press red key to delete all mail.
Select CA Information menu and press OK to see the CA Information. You can find
information about CA Version, CA S/N and so on.
Select Mail List Information menu and press OK to see
the Mail List Information.
