GettingStarted
Battery
Thebatterywhichisinitially50%chargedcanbeusedimmediately.Pleasefully
charge/dischargethebatteryforthefirstthreetimestogetmaximumcapacity.
ChargingtheBattery
Duringcharging,thebatteryindicatoronthephoneisathundericon.Ifthe
deviceisswitchedoffduringthecharge,therewillstillbeachargeindicationon
thescreenthatshowsthephoneisstillbeingcharged.Ifthedeviceisoverused
whenthebatteryislow,itmighttakesometimetoappearthechargingicon.
Whenthebatteryindicatoronthescreensays'fullycharged',thenthundericon
willdisappear,whichmeansthecompletionofcharging.Ifthephoneisswitched
offduringcharging,thescreenwillhavea'fullycharged'scene.Itgenerallytakes
4hourstochargethebattery.Duringcharging,thebattery,thedeviceandthe
chargerwillgethot.Thisisnormal.
Unplugthechargerfromtheelectricaloutletanddisconnectthewiringbetween
thephoneandthechargeraftercharging.

Attention:Chargethephoneinawellventilatedplaceinwhichthetemperature
isfrom‐10oCto+55oC.Usethechargerprovidedbythemanufactureronly.The
useofunconfirmedchargermayleadtodangersandviolatethemanufacturer's
warrantyclause.Ifthetemperatureistoohighortoolowduringthecharge,the
devicewillautomaticallysendawarningandstopchargingtoavoiddamageto
thebatteryoranydanger.
ConnectingtoNetwork
SIMCard
InsertvalidSIMcard(SubscriberIdentityModule)beforeusingthedevice.
AllinformationrelatedtothereachofthenetworkisrecordedinthechipofSIM
card,includingthename,phonenumberandmessagesstoredintheSIMcard
contacts.IncaseoflosingordamagingSIMcardinformation,usersshouldavoid
touchingthemetaltouchingsideandkeepSIMcardawayfromelectricaland
magneticfield.
InsertingandRemovingtheSIMCard
Switchoffthedevice,andremovethebatteryandotherexternalpowersupply.
InserttheSIMcardintothecardslot.
PleaseswitchoffthephoneandremovethebatterybeforeremovingtheSIM
card.
Warning:DamagescouldhappentoyourSIMcardifthedeviceisnotswitchedoff

InsertingandRemovingtheMemoryCard
Switchoffthehandset.
Insertthememorycardintotheslot.

DoalongpresstheSwitchon/offkeytoswitchon/offthephone.
IfinsertingtheSIMcard,thescreenwillshowthenotesinthefollowingorder
whenthephoneisswitchedon:
TypeinPIN—ifyouhavealreadysettheSIMcode.
SeAKAIh—thehandsetwillbeseAKAIhingforpropernetworkconnection.
UnlockSIMCard
Toavoidillegaluse,theSIMcardisencipheredwithPIN(PersonalIdentification
Number)asaprotection.WhenthisfunctionisONandyouhavealreadysetaPIN
code,youneedtotypeinPINcodeeverytime,thehandsetisswitchedonin
ordertounlockSIMcardandusethehandset.
YoucanturnofftheSIMPINcode.Yetinthissituation,theSIMcardcan'tprevent
illegaluse.
InputPINcode,pressarrowheadicontoerasetypingerrorandpressOKtoend
typing.Forexample,ifthePINcodeissetas1234,thentype"1234"thenpress
OK.
TheSIMcardwillbelockedifyoutypeinwrongcodeforthreetimescontinuously.
ThehandsetwillinformyoutotypeinPUKcode.
Attention:YournetworkproviderwillsetastandardPINcode(fourtoeight
numbers)foryourSIMcard.Itisrecommendedthatyouchangethecodeintoa
personalcodeassoonaspossible.
WhentheSIMcardissuccessfullyunlocked,thehandsetwillautomatically
seAKAIhforavailablenetwork(thelockscreenshowsseAKAIhing).Thehandset
willshowtheinformationofthenetworkprovider;thestatusbarwillshowthe
signalstrengthandthenetworkconditiononcethehandsetissuccessfully
connectedtoanetwork.

0.1 Fingergesture
Tap
Whenyouwanttotypeusingthekeyboard,selectitemsonscreensuchas
applicationandsettingsicons,orpressonscreenbuttons,simplytapthemwith
yourfinger.
Pressandhold
Toopentheavailableoptionsforanitem(e.g.contactorlinkinawebpage),
simplypressandholdtheitem.
Swipeorslide
Toswipeorslidemeanstoquicklydragyourfingerverticallyorhorizontallyacross
thescreenoropticaltrackball.
Drag
Pressandholdyourfingerwithsomepressurebeforeyoustarttodrag.While
dragging,donotreleaseyourfingeruntilyouhavereachedthetargetposition.
Flick
Flickingthescreenissimilartoswiping,exceptthatyouneedtoswipeyourfinger
inlight,quickerstrokes.Thisfingergestureisalwaysinaverticaldirection,suchas
whenflickingthecontactsormessagelist.
Rotate
Formostscreens,youcanautomaticallychangethescreenorientationfrom
portraittolandscapebyturningthephonesideways.Whenenteringtext,youcan
turnthephonesidewaystobringupabiggerkeyboard.RefertotheSettings
chapterformoredetails.
Pinch
Forsomeapplications,likePhotosorthewebbrowser,youcan“pinch”thescreen
using2fingers(forexample,thumbandindexfingers)tozoominorzoomout
whenviewingapictureorawebpage.
EnteringyourPIN
IfyourSIMcardispresetwithaPIN(personalidentificationnumber),youwillbe
promptedtoenterthePINtoproceed.
EntertheSIMPIN,andthentapOK.MostSIMcardsarepresetwithaPIN
(personalidentificationnumber)thatisprovidedbyyourmobileoperator.When
prompted,enterthepresetPIN,andthentapEnter.IfyouenterthewrongPIN
threetimes,theSIMcardisblocked.Ifthishappens,youcanunblockitwiththe
PUK(PINUnblockingKey)obtainedfromyourmobileoperator.

Youcantapphonebuttonatthebottomofthe

inputsomenumber,youhavetwowaystoselect
makeacall.

choosewhichSIMcardyouwanttouse.
ii. Youcanslidetotherighttochoosethe
numberinyourcallhistory.

Whileviewingatextmessage,youcanplaceacalltoanumberthatisinthebody

emergencynumberandtaptheredbutton.

Whenyoureceiveaphonecallfromacontact,theIncomingcallscreenappears
anddisplaysthecallerIDicon,name,andphonenumberofthecallingparty.
WhenyoureceiveaphonecallfromsomeonewhoisnotstoredinContacts,only
thedefaultcallerIDiconandphonenumberappearontheIncomingcallscreen.
