While operating any electrical appliance, basic precautions should always be
followed for safety.

>Do not place any object over the air intake or outlet.
>Do not attempt to service or repair the unit yourself. Any a tempt to repair the

close to the wall, not the cord.

This appliance contains a UV-C emitter.
WARNING: UV LIGHT HAZARD. Harmful to skin and eyes. Can cause
temporary or permanent loss of vision. Never look at the lamp while
illuminated. To prevent exposure to ultraviolet light, be sure the power is
disconnected before servicing. AFLPCO®cell has been designed to minimize
exposure to UV light.
UV lamp contains Hg (Mercury) and should be disposed of according to local
disposal laws.
UV lamp may be hot and could cause serious burns. Allow lamp to cool before
removing AFLPCO®Cell from appliance. Never touch UV lamp. Oils from your
skin can cause UV lamp to break when lamp is illuminated.
WARNING: UV radiation is dangerous for the eyes and skin. Do not operate
the UV-C emitter outside the appliance.
Unintended use of the appliance or damage to the housing may result in the
escape of dangerous UV-C radiation. UV-C radiation may, even in little doses,
cause harm to the eyes and skin.
Appliances that are obviously damaged must not be operated.
Read the maintenance instructions before opening the appliance;
The appliance must be disconnected from the supply before replacing the UV-
C emitter.

OCTO is proud to unveil the second generation of OCTO PurePlace Mini with
AFL’s proprietary NASA Developed AFLPCO®Technology that destroys
germs by sanitising both the air and surfaces in rooms by up to 330 square

The OCTO PurePlace Mini was created specifically to help you effectively
combat a large number and variety of contaminants. The advanced nano
AFLPCO®Technology provides a blanket of protection by sanitising the air
and surfaces around you.
How does the OCTO PurePlace Mini Work?
Air purifiers have a fundamental flaw. They rely on air being pulled through
the machine in order to clean it. This creates an ineffective, high energy,
high cost air purifier.
The OCTO PurePlace Mini uses multiple technologies in one compact unit.
As the air passes through the washable stainless steel dust guard, larger

a germicidal UVC lamp deactivates the DNA of any bacteria, viruses and
other pathogens destroying their ability to multiply and cause disease.
Photons created by the germicidal UVC lamp react with metal AFLPCO®
catalyst to create a plethora of human friendly negative ions that clean the
air of bacteria, mould, viruses, VOC’s and bad o dours. These ions also
sterilise any surfaces they come into contact with such as on countertops,
tabletops, walls, floors and ceilings.
The OCTO PurePlace Mini uses state of the art, nano metal AFLPCO®
catalyst which is the most advanced PCO catalyst in the world today in
terms of safety and the number of human friendly ions created from this
NASA Developed nano technology.
By utilizing a broad spectrum 253.7nm UV light we achieve the same
oxidising and ionising benefits found in nature created by the sun. By
combining this frequency of UV light with nano metal AFLPCO®catalyst we
achieve unparalleled results.
The AFL PLASMA®technology also generates and abundance of human
friendly ions through and advanced cold plasma ionisation technology to

OCTO PurePlace Mini Warranty
OCTO gives you the following warranty for this product only if it was
originally purchased directly from OCTO.
OCTO will repair or replace, free of charge to the original purchaser, any
part that is found to be defective in material or workmanship within one (1)
year of the date of purchase.
This warranty does not apply to any part subjected to accident, abuse,
alteration, misuse, lack of reasonable care, the affixing of any attachment
not provided with the product, loss of parts, damage caused by acts of God
or the use of voltages other than indicated on the label displayed on this
product or service of this product by anyone other than OCTO, its
authorised dealer or appointed representative.
OCTO does not authorise any person to assume or grant any other
warranty obligation on its behalf in connection with the sale of this product.
All express and implied warranties for this product, including iImplied
warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, are
limited in duration to the warranty period, and no warranties, whether
express or implied, will apply after this period.

Mounting Directions and Operation
The OCTO PurePlace Mini is intended for spaces up to 30 square meters.
For best results the unit should be placed in an elevated area.

STEP 1 - OPEN THE STAND TO ITS MAXIMUM ANGLE
STEP 2 - PLACE ON A FLAT SURFACE
Optional Working Modes
NIGHT MODE
All indicator lights off, the fan works at low speed, automatically off after 8
hours of operation (hold fan button for 2 seconds).
AUTO MODE
Automatic mode, RGB breathing lights indicates the air quality and
automatically adjusts the fan speed depending on the indoor air quality. Blue
or
Green: medium speed fan, Red: high speed fan.

POWER MODE
The fan always works at high speed no matter what air quality it is.
Operation
• Press the “Power” button to start the unit.
•The AFLPCO®and AFL PLASMA® technologies start to work instantly.
•The TVOC indoor air quality sensor warms up after 2 minutes of starting
up.
•During these 2 minutes, the lights on the unit will alternate between Red,
Green and Blue (RGB) and the fan will work on low speed to continue
delivery of clean air while the TVOC sensor warms up.
•After the TVOC sensor warms up, the unit will operate on AUTO mode.
• Press the “FAN” button to change to POWER mode. Press “FAN” again to
change back to AUTO mode.

•Press and hold the“FAN” button for 2 seconds until the unit changes to
NIGHT mode. Press “FAN” for 2 seconds again to change back to AUTO
mode.
• Press and hold the “POWER” button to turn off the unit.
•When the AFLPCO®cartridge comes to the end of its life, the “Air For Life”
logo flashes in white to remind you to change the cartridge. After replacing
it, please press and hold the “POWER” + “FAN” buttons for 5 seconds to
reset the timer for the cartridge lifespan.
Air quality
With an inbuilt smart (TVOC) indoor air quality sensor, the air quality is
visible via the RGB LED light display.

Cleaning
Turn power off and unplug power source before cleaning any part of the
OCTO PurePlace Mini.
Use a damp cloth to remove any dust from the outside of the unit. Never
use abrasive materials or harsh cleaners. Never spray cleaner or water
directly on or inside unit.
The dust guard should be cleaned every two months or sooner when used
in areas with higher particulate levels.

AFL/AFLPCO®Cell Replacement
The OCTO PurePlace Mini contains an AFLPCO®cartridge which
requires annual replacement. Failure to do so will effect the unit’s ability to
function at optimal efficiency.
Turn the power off and unplug power source before replacing the
AFLPCO®cartridge.
Using a Phillips screwdriver remove the 2 screws under the retractable
stand holding the AFLPCO® cartridge access panel in place.
Lift up on tab at front of the AFLPCO®cartridge access panel and remove
it from the unit.
Firmly grasp tab in middle of AFLPCO®cartridge and pull it up and out of
the unit.
Reverse steps 1 through 3 to insert the new AFLPCO®cartridge.
