LP Series is a highly efficient, programmable electric load (300W~1500W Capacity).
It has RS-232C, RS-485, USB Remote control interface based on SCPI Protocol.

1-2. Accessories and Option

When you receive your electric load, inspect it for any obvious damage that may have
occurred during shipment. If any damage is found, notify the carrier and the nearest ODA
Sales Office immediately. Warranty information is shown in the front of the manual.
Keep the original packing materials in case the electric load has to be returned to ODA
Technologies in the future. If you return the electric load for service, attach a tag
identifying the owner and model number. Also include a brief description of the problem.
Mechanical Check
▌Check the broken key, encoder switch, power switch.
▌Check the panel surfaces are free of dents and scratches.
▌Check the broken rear output terminals.
▌Check the cabinet is free of scratches.
▌Check the LCD display is not scratched or cracked.
Electrical Check
▌Initial Display message is ODA Technologies and Model Name.
▌If "**OFF-ISET**" Message is displayed, Please check other specifications.

Power Cord Check
▌Provided power cord is 3-wire ground type.
If you use power cord from other brand, use Ground type.
And connect the power supply earth to load's GND.
Input AC Power Line Check
▌Product is designed for single phase AC 220V ±10% / 50~60Hz.
You can Set another input option.
Turn on the power and load will be set in the previous setting value.
Display Procedure on the LCD
▌Display "ODA Technologies"
▌Display "LP"
▌Annunciators of ERR, LMT, RMT, LOCK on front side are lit and go off.
▌During displaying above procedure, the instrument is initialized by stored in non-
volatile memory.
Default Setting Values (Last State Mode is under the disable state)
▌Remote Interface : RS-232C
▌A Memory : CC-0A, CV-0V
▌After Power On : "**OFF - ISET**"
▌B Memory : CC-0A, CV-0V
▌Voltage, Current Value : 0
▌Dynamic DUTY: 50%

1.Initially, Remote Interface is RS232C, Baud-rate is 9600bps.
2.Last State Mode is "SAFETY". You can change the setting in Factory Mode.

Cooling
▌Load's quality is guaranteed in the circumstances of 0℃ ~ 40℃.
If you use 40℃ ~ 55℃ circumstances, please lower the output current to 0~70% of
maximum current.
If you use load by installing in the rack, please keep attention to ventilation.

Bench Operation
▌Load must be installed in a location that allows sufficient space at the sides
and rear of the load for adequate air circulation.
Rack Mounting
▌This product is designed for 3U * 19inch-Half compact
Use bracket to attach product in the Rack.
▌Fasten between rack bracket and rack case by using fastener.
▌To install instruments in a sliding support shelf, order support shelf, slide kit

300W, 600W is 3U *19inch-Half size, 900W, 1200W is 3U *19inch size.
1500W, 2000W is 4U *19inch size.

2. Front Panel, Rear Panel Composition & Function
2-1. Front Panel Composition

1. POWER switch.
The load is turned on or off by this switch. It is adopted by following electric load's capacity.
2. Ventilation slit.
Air flow flows from front ventilation slit to rear ventilation slit compulsorily.
3. 20Char * 2Line Type LCD Display
Voltage/current and, all kinds menu/message displayed.
4. CC Mode Lamp
The load is in constant current mode.
5. CR Mode Lamp
The load is in constant resistance mode.
6. CV Mode Lamp
The load is in constant voltage mode.
7. Dynamic Mode Lamp
The load is in dynamic mode.
8. Cycling Mode Lamp
The load is in cycling mode.
9. Remote Interface Lamp
When received the remote control signal from PC and etc., it lights and automatically,
front panel keys are under "Key Lock" state.
10. Protection Lamp
Lamp is on in protection mode. You can see the protection mode text in LCD panel
You can not use any keys before ending the protection mode.
11. Error Lamp
When error occurs, lamp will be on. If errors are all checked, than lamp will be off.
12. Setting Encoder
Adjusts the voltage, current, resistance value.

13. Left cursor Key
Move cursor to the left direction.
14. Right cursor Key
Move cursor to the right direction.
15. Input voltage/current On/Off Key
Enables and disables the load input voltage/current.
16. Mode Setting Key
Adjust the Mode setting (CC mode, CR mode, CV mode).
17. Range Setting Key
Set the range of CC mode and CR mode.
When you're in input on status, you can not use this key.
18. Slew Setting Key
Adjust the setting value of Slew mode(1~12 step).
19. IO/LOCAL Setting & Error Display Key
Adjust the Remote interface setting (RS232C, RS485, USB)
Press 3 seconds and there will be Error Number and message.
20. Short On/Off Setting Key
Adjust the maximum current that load can take.
21. Recall & Save Key
Click more than 3 seconds and enter to Recall Mode and open the saved data.
Click one time and enter to Save Mode and save the current mode, setting value.
22. ESC, Err Check, Protection off Key
This key has same function of ESC Key. When error occurs, use this key for checking.
23. B-Memory Setting and Factory mode Key
If you're in Dynamic Mode, This key function as B-Memory Setting Key.
Press 3 seconds and set the B-Memory status.
For the factory mode, Power on the load with pressing this key. you can enter to Factory mode.
There are a lot of menus you can use (User-Mem Clear, Auto Key Lock and etc.)

24. A-Memory Setting, Calibration mode
If you're in Dynamic Mode, This key function as A-Memory Setting Key.
Press for 3 seconds and set the A-Memory Setting
For the Calibration, Power on the load with pressing this key. You can enter to calibration mode.
In this mode, you can do calibration of current, voltage.
25. Dynamic Cycling time Setting, Dynamic Duty Setting
Press one time and set the velocity of Dynamic mode (0.0001 ~ 4s).
Press for 3 seconds and set the dynamic mode duty (0.3~97%)
26. Dynamic On/Off
Start and Stop the dynamic mode.
27. Cycling Sequence setting
Set the start step and finish step of cycling mode.
28. Cycling Repeat setting
Set the repeat time of step in cycling mode.
29. Cycling Step setting
Press one time and input Step information for cycling mode.
You can input Step Num, Mode Set, Value Setting, Slope Time Setting, Delay Time Setting.
Press for 3 seconds and input Fuse Time and Fuse Current for Fuse Mode.
30. Cycling On/ Off Key
Press one time and proceed cycling mode.
Press for 3 seconds and fuse mode is on.

This is a RS-232C Serial Port. You can use this type in 1:1 communication status.

In this communication type, you can connect many devices to 1 unit parallel.

Front and side panel will inhale the air and exhale to the rear side.

If there's no change for 5 seconds, local mode will be automatically started.
