This manual provides you with important information about the Sure-Trap Overow Safety Trap. To ensure the safe and
proper use of this device, read and understand all of the safety and operating instructions. If you do not understand these
instructions, or have any questions, refer to service manual, contact your supervisor, dealer, or the manufacturer before
attempting to use the device.
Intended Use
The Ohio Medical Sure-Trap Overow Safety Trap is designed to prevent uids from entering the vacuum regulator or
central suction system.
Receiving/Inspection
Remove product from package and inspect for damage. If product is damaged, do not use and contact your dealer or
equipment provider.
User Responsibility
This Product will perform as described in these instructions when installed and operated in accordance with the instructions
provided.

⚠ Do not use this device in the presence of ammable anesthetics.
⚠ This device is to be used only by persons who have been adequately instructed in its use.
⚠ Not for eld or transport use.

Product Setup:
CAUTION
⚠ This device must be in the vertical position to function.
⚠ Before each use, inspect the device for any damage; DO NOT USE if damaged or visibly contaminated.
⚠ Do not overtighten the Sure-Trap to vacuum regulator.
⚠ Conduct visual pre-use check to ensure the deector shield is attached to the cap.
Attach the Sure-Trap to inlet of Vacuum Regulator and attach
suction tubing from the barb tting to the vacuum port of
collection canister as shown.
Cleaning
The exterior of the device may be cleaned with mild cleaning of disinfecting solution.
Disposal
WARNING
⚠ After patient use, suction equipment may be contaminated.
If liquid is present in the device, remove from service and discard immediately.
⚠ Dispose of trap in accordance with the local regulations using biohazard precautions.
