USER MANUAL
IMPORTANT
Please read this user manual carefully before using
the purifier and save this manual for future
reference.
Danger
- DO NOT let water or any other liquid or flammable
detergents enter the appliance to avoid electric
shock and/or a fire hazard.
- DO NOT clean the purifier with water or any other
liquid or a (flammable) detergent to avoid electric
shock and/or a fire hazard.
Warning
- Check if the voltage indicated on the bottom of the
appliance corresponds to the local mains voltage
before you connect the appliance.
- If the main cord is damaged, you must have it
replaced by manufacturer, a service center or
similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
- Do not use the purifier if the plug, the main cord or
the appliance itself is damaged.
- This purifier is not intended for use by persons
(including children) with reduced physical, sensory or
mental capabilities, or lack of experience and
knowledge, unless they have been given supervision

or instruction concerning use of the purifier by a
person responsible for their safety.
- Do not block the air inlet and outlet, e.g. by placing
items on the air outlet or in front of the air inlet.
Caution
- Do not use the purifier near gas outlets, heating
devices or fireplaces.
- Leave at least 8 inches of free space behind and on
both sides of the purifier and leave at 12 inches of
free space above the purifier.
- Avoid dropping or hitting the purifier (the air inlet and
outlet in particular) with hard objects.
- Always lift or move the purifier by the handgrip at the
back of the purifier.
- Always unplug the purifier after use and before you
clean it.
- To prevent interference, place the purifier at least 7
feet away from electrical appliances that use
airborne radio waves such as TVs, radios and
radio-controlled clocks.
- When the air purifier is not in use for a long time,
bacteria may grow on the filters. Check the filters
after a long period of disuse. If the filters are very
dirty, replace them (see chapter ’Filter replacement’).
- The purifier is only intended for household use under
normal operating conditions.
- Do not use the purifier in wet surroundings or in
surroundings with high ambient temperatures, such

as the bathroom, toilet or kitchen.
- The purifier does not remove carbon monoxide (CO)
or radon (Rn). It cannot be used as a safety device in
case of accidents with combustion processes and
hazardous chemicals.
PRODUCT INTRODUCTION
The OION Technologies LB-999 air purifier utilizes
multiple purification technologies to bring cleaner air to
you and your loved ones. For best results, place the air
purifier in a room where you spend most of your time.
Double purification stages
The LB-999 air purifier has unique double purification
stages that ensures the best air quality:
- Stage 1：The antibacterial pre-filter and the true
HEPA filter, filters out ultrafine particles larger than
20 nanometers, including bacteria and some viruses.
According to publications of the World Health
Organization, the avian and human influenza viruses
and the Legionella bacterium are larger than 20
nanometers.
- Stage 2：UV light technology works with the TiO2
filter to enhance the elimination of airborne germs.
Titanium Dioxide is activated by the UV light to
decompose remaining toxic or harmful gas.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
1Plug the power cord into a 110V AC outlet.
The power button lights on and off, you will hear a
beep sound.
2Press the Power Button to switch on the unit, the
unit will start to work on level 2 mode.
The following button lights will be on at the same
time: the Power Button, Level 2 Button, UV Bulb
Button, Backlit light and Ambient Light
3Press the Level button to select a different fan speed,
Level 1 (low), level 2 (high) and level 3 (turbo).
4Press the UV light button to select ON or OFF for the
UV purification function.
5Press the Backlit button to select ON or OFF for all
button lights including the LOGO light and ambient
light.
CHANGE FILTER INDICATOR
The blue power light on the unit will turn yellow after
2500 hours working when using; after 3000 hours, it will
turn red and flash continuously indicating that it is time

to replace the filter for better performance. Please
replace the filter and HOLD the power unit for 5 seconds
to restart the unit and to reset the filter indicator.
Replacing the filter：
Step 1: Turn off and unplug the unit
Step 2: Gently press the lock of the filter cover
and pull the filter cover towards you, then
remove the cover from the unit.
Step 3: To remove the filter, grab the white
ribbon then gently pull it out. Then Insert the
new filter into the unit.
Step 4: Put the filter cover back into the

unit. Connect the power and turn on the machine. Then hold
the power button for 5 seconds to restart the system. You will
hear a beep at the same time.
CHANGE UV LIGHT INDICATOR
Step 1: Turn off and unplug the unit
Step 2: Gently press the lock of the filter cover
and pull the filter cover towards you, then
remove the cover from the unit.
Step 3: To remove the filter, grab the white
ribbon then gently pull it out.
Step 4: After remove the filter, use a

screwdriver to remove the screws and detach the UV light
shield.
Step 5: Gently grasp the UV light bulb and pull it
out. Then insert the new UV light bulb.
Step 6: Reinstall the UV light shield and screws,
reinstall the filter and cover filter.
TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE
PROBLEM 1: Unit doesn’t work or is not powering on.
SOLUTION: Check that the unit is plugged in; check that the

UV shield and the filter cover is firmly in place.
PROBLEM 2: Power light is red after replacing the new filter.
SOLUTION: Press and hold the power button for 5 seconds to
reset the filter change indicator and restart the
unit after replacing the new filter.
PROBLEM 3: UV bulb is not lighting up.
SOLUTION: The UV bulb is NOT is not turned on. Press the
UV light button to turn on. If it is on, and there is
still no light then it is time to replace it with a
new UV Bulb
PROBLEM5: The air quality has not improved.
SOLUTION: Move the unit to a more ventilated area and
remove any obstructions around the unit.
SERVICE AND WARRANTY
OION Technologies, LLC (collectively “OION”) warrants from the date
of purchase, this product will be free from defects in material and

workmanship. Please refer to your retailer’s product sales page for the
duration of the warranty period. OION, at its option, will repair or
replace this product or any component of the product found to be
defective during the warranty period. Replacement will be made with
a new or remanufactured product or component. If the product is no
longer available, replacement may be made with a similar product of
equal or greater value. This is your exclusive warranty. Do NOT
attempt to repair or adjust any electrical or mechanical functions on
this product. Doing so will void this warranty. This warranty is valid
for the original retail purchaser from the date of initial retail purchase
and is not transferable. Proof of purchase is required to obtain
warranty performance. This warranty does not cover normal wear of
parts or damage resulting from any of the following: negligent use or
misuse of the product, use on improper voltage or current, use
contrary to the operation instructions, disassembly, repair or alteration
by anyone other than an OION authorized service technician or OION
service center. Additionally, the warranty does not cover: Acts of God,
such as fire, flood, hurricanes, earthquakes and tornadoes.
OION shall not be liable for any incidental or consequential damages
caused by breach of any express, implied or statutory warranty or
condition. Except to the extent prohibited by applicable law, any
implied warranty or condition of merchantability or fitness for a
particular purpose is limited in duration to the duration of the above
warranty. OION disclaims all other warranties, conditions or
representations, express, implied, statutory or otherwise. OION shall
not be liable for any damages of any kind resulting from the purchase,
use or misuse of, or inability to use the product including incidental,
special, consequential or similar damages or loss of profits, or for any
breach of contract, fundamental or otherwise, or for any claim brought

against purchaser by any other party. Some provinces, states or
jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or
consequential damages or limitations on how long an implied warranty
lasts, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you. This
warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other
rights that vary from province to province, state to state or jurisdiction
