future reference, along with the completed warranty card, purchase receipt
and carton. The safety precautions enclosed herein reduce the risk of fire,
electric shock and injury when correctly adhered to.
Follow all instructions and take notice of all warnings to reduce the risk
of re or electric shock.

Electrical safety and cord handling
• To prevent contact with high voltage components
inside, do not attempt to open the equipment.
• Before installing this equipment, make sure your
outlet voltage corresponds to the voltage stated
on the appliance rating label.
• When connecting the equipment, align the plug
properly and insert it fully to prevent electric shock.
• Only use this equipment with the cord and plug supplied, and do not
overload the power outlet.
• If the power cord is damaged, do not use the equipment. The cord must
be replaced by the manufacturer or similarly qualified personnel in order to
avoid a hazard. Contact the after sales support line for advice.
CAUTION: To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not expose this
equipment, the cord or plug to rain or moisture; do not use it anywhere
near water or where water splashes or drips; do not touch the plug with wet
hands. In the event that water or other liquids enter the device, unplug it
immediately and clean and dry it as best as possible. Then have it checked
for damage by a qualified technician, or contact the after sales support line.
• Do not repair the unit yourself. Only have it serviced by qualified personnel.
Contact the after sales support line for advice.
• Unplug the unit from the power outlet after use to avoid possible damage
during electrical storms, or when the equipment will be unattended or
unused for a long period of time.

• Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or counter, or touch any
hot surface. Do not allow anything to rest on or roll over the power cord,
and run any cords so that no one steps on or trips over them.
• Do not run the cord near heat-producing appliances such as radiators,
stoves or irons. Excessive heat could melt insulation and expose live wires.
• Always grasp the plug, not the cord, when disconnecting the unit. Pulling
the cord can damage the internal wires and may cause a fire.
• Do not install the unit in an inclined position. It is designed to be operated in
a horizontal position only.
Installation
• When installing the unit, make sure to place it:
• Away from heat sources, radiators or other products that produce heat.
• Away from areas with high temperatures, high humidity or direct sunlight.
• Away from excess dirt and dust.
• Away from open windows and any place where water may get into the
unit and damage it.
• Make sure there is free circulation of air around the unit. Do not place it on a
thick carpet, bed or any place where ventilation holes are obstructed. Leave
at least 10cm clearance around the unit.
• Make sure the mains socket is readily accessible at all times.
Usage conditions and restrictions
• Openings on the cabinet are provided for ventilation and to protect the
unit from overheating. To ensure proper operation, do not cover them with
things such as newspapers, tablecloths, curtains etc.
• Do not place heavy objects on top of the equipment or step on it.
• Do not place objects filled with water (such as vases) or any naked flame
sources (such as lit candles, incense sticks or cigarettes) on top of the unit.
• The equipment is not intended for use by persons (including children) with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience
and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction
concerning use of the equipment by a person responsible for their safety.
• Young children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with the
equipment. Close supervision is always necessary when an appliance is
used by or near children.

• Unplug the unit from the power outlet before cleaning. Clean the unit only
with a dry, clean cloth. Do not use liquid or aerosol cleaners.
• We assume no liability for any damage caused by noncompliance with these
instructions or any other improper use or mishandling of the equipment.
Condensation
The unit may suffer from condensation in the following situations:
• When you take the unit directly from a cold to a warm place, and vice versa.
• When you use the unit in a room where you just turned on a heater, or where
cold air from an air conditioner is directed on to the unit.
• When you use the unit in hot and humid surrounds just after having moved it
from an air conditioned room.
• When the room is steamy or damp.
• If condensation exists, the unit will not operate properly. Remove the disc,
plug the power cord into the wall socket, turn on the unit and leave it for two
to three hours. After that time, the unit will have warmed up and any moisture
will have evaporated. Keeping the unit connected to the wall socket will keep
moisture condensation problems to a minimum.

Getting Started
Before first use
• Unpack the appliance but keep all packaging materials until you have
made sure your new equipment is undamaged and in good working
order. Plastic wrapping can be a suffocation hazard for babies and young
children, so ensure all packaging materials are out of their reach.
• Unwind the cord to its full length and inspect it for damage. Do not use
the appliance if the appliance or its cord have been damaged or are not
working properly. In case of damage, contact our after sales support line
for advice on examination, repair or return of the damaged product.
• Read this manual to familiarise yourself with all the parts and operating
principles of the equipment. Pay particular attention to the safety
instructions on the previous pages.
• Do not connect the unit to the mains before checking the mains voltage
and before all other connections have been made.
• Do not cover any vents and make sure that there is a space of several
centimetres around the unit for ventilation.
Connections
• Connect the power cord to a properly earthed AC outlet.
• Move the function switch. The backlight on the LC display should light up,
indicating the power supply is working properly.
• Your Turntable with Cassette deck deck is now ready for use.
• To connect headphones to this equipment, use a connecting cable with a
3.5mm headphone jack and plug it into the earphone socket at the front of
the equipment.
• To connect an external sound source such as an MP3 or CD player, use the
AUX IN socket at the front of the equipment.
• To connect an external device (e.g. amplifier or speaker), use the earphone
socket at the front of the equipment.

Playing a record
• Connect the AC power cord to an electrical outlet and raise the dust cover
• Turn ON (with the POWER/VOLUME KNOB) and adjust the volume to an
appropriate level.
• Slide the function switch to PHONO position.
• Place a record on the turntable platter and select the correct player speed:
33 1/3, 45, 78 RPM according to the vinyl played.
• Set the auto /manual stop control: Set the auto stop switch to ON if you
are playing a 33 RPM record and you want the turntable to stop turning
when it has reached the end of the record. If the switch is set to OFF, the
turntable will continue turning at the end of the record.
• Remove the stylus guard and unlock the tone arm lock. Push the Lift lever
upward to raise the tone arm and then gently move tone arm to the desired
position over the record. The platter will begin to spin when the tone arm is
moved toward the record.
• Push the lift lever forward to lower the tone arm slowly onto the desired
position on the record and begin to playing the record.
• If the auto stop switch is set to ON, the record will stop automatically. If it is
set to OFF, the record will not stop automatically.
• At the end of playing the record, push the lift lever backward to raise the
tone arm and gently move it back to its rest.
• When you have finished playing records, engage the tone arm lock to
protect it from accidental movement. Turn the power knob to switch the
unit off. Unplug it from the power supply if you are not going to use it for a
while.
NOTE: Should your record stop before the last track finishes, set the auto
stop switch to OFF. Your record will now play to the end, but you will
have to stop the turntable rotation manually.
IMPORTANT: To avoid stylus damage, make certain the included stylus guard
is in place whenever the turntable is being installed, moved or cleaned.

Playing a Cassette
• Connect the AC power cord to an electrical outlet.
• Turn ON (with the POWER/VOLUME KNOB) and adjust the volume to an
appropriate level.
• Set the function switch to TAPE.
• Insert a pre-recorded tape into the cassette slot with the tape side to the
right. By pushing slightly the cassette will slide into the tape mechanism
and will start playing automatically.
NOTE: One end of the tape will remain visible.
• To fast forward the cassette tape, press the PLAY/EJECT/FFWD button
halfway down while the cassette is playing.
• To resume normal playback, Release the PLAY/EJECT/FFWD button.
• To stop playback, press the PLAY/EJECT/FFWD button completely.
Playback will be stopped and the cassette tape will be ejected.
Playing music from an auxiliary input
• Connect an external device to the auxiliary input at the front of the
equipment.
• Connect the AC power cord to an electrical outlet.
• Using a 3.5mm Stereo cable connect the External audio device to the AUX IN.
• Turn ON (with the POWER/VOLUME KNOB) and adjust the volume to an
appropriate level.
• Set the function to AUX IN.
• Use the POWER/VOLUME KNOB to control volume level or alternatively
use the controls on the external audio device to control playback/volume
functions.
Playing music from a USB device / SD / MMC card
• Connect the AC power cord to an electrical outlet.
• Turn ON (with the POWER/VOLUME KNOB) and adjust the volume to an
appropriate level.
• Insert a USB device face up into the USB port, making sure it is fully
inserted. Alternatively insert a memory card in the direction of the arrow (as
shown on the label next to the memory card slot), making sure to insert it
straight without bending.

IMPORTANT:
• Connecting the USB device upside down or backwards could damage
the audio system or storage media (USB drive, SD or MMC card). Check
to ensure the direction is correct before connection.
• Always back up important information to avoid accidental loss of data. We
are not responsible for any damage and/or data loss due to lack of back-
up.
Set the function switch to USB/SD: the LCD will display the number of tracks
and the total time of the storage medium .
• The system will then start audio playback from the media storage device
(USB or SD card) automatically.
• To pause playback, press the PLAY/PAUSE button once to halt playing.
Press it again to continue playback.
• To play the previous track, press PREV once or hold down continuously to
rapidly progress through previous tracks.
• To play the next track, press NEXT once or hold down continuously to
rapidly advance through tracks.
• To choose different sound effects, press EQ Function.
a. E1 – Normal Sound
b. E2 – POP
c. E3 – ROCK
d. E4 – JAZZ
e. E5 – CLASSIC
• To delete a file on your media storage device, press DELETE for about
2 seconds.
WARNING: Once deleted from your media storage device the file cannot
be recovered. Please ensure to regularly back-up your data.
• To switch between different folders (if there are more than one), press
FOLDER+. This will switch the stored music files (the music which you
have stored in memory devices) and the recorded music files (the music
which is recorded from the turntable, cassette, and auxiliary).
• To stop playback of the music track, press STOP.

Connecting to ampliers / speakers / or headphones
• To connect to an amplifier or speakers, or alternatively listen to the content
playing privately, plug your external device or earphones into the 3.5mm
Headphone Jack.

Encoding and recording onto a USB device / SD card
This equipment has the capacity to encode your traditional music media (vinyl
records, cassette tapes or CDs via AUX IN) into digital format and record it
onto a USB device or SD/MMC card as MP3 file(s).
• First of all, set the function switch to the appropriate function: PHONO,
TAPE or AUX IN.
• Insert a storage device (USB stick / SD/MMC card) into the relevant slot.
• Get your traditional music media ready for playback: either start playing a
record on the turntable, or insert a cassette tape into the cassette slot, or
insert a CD into a CD player connected to the AUX IN socket.
• Press the REC button to start recording: the music track(s) will be recorded
automatically onto the storage medium as MP3 file(s).
• Press the STOP button to stop recording: the music track(s) will be saved
directly onto the storage device (USB device or SD card) inserted.
• The default media is USB; press the USB/SD switch button to change to
SD card.
NOTE:
• The recording volume level can be adjusted with the power/volume control
knob.
• The recording speed is 1:1. Recording will take as long as playing the
record, cassette tape or CD.
• The recording format is preset at MP3 bit rate 128 kbps.

Connecting to ampliers / speakers / or headphones
• To connect to an amplifier or speakers, or alternatively listen to the content
playing privately, plug your external device or earphones into the 3.5mm
Headphone Jack.
Tips for better performance
• When opening or closing the turntable cover, handle it gently, moving it
either at the center or equally from both sides.
• Do not touch the stylus tip with your fingers; avoid bumping the stylus on
the turntable mat or a record’s edge.
• Clean the stylus tip frequently, using a soft brush with a back-to-front
motion only.
• If you use a stylus cleaning fluid, use it very sparingly.
• Wipe the dust cover and turntable housing gently with a soft cloth. Use
only a small amount of mild detergent solution to clean the turntable and
dust cover.
• Never apply harsh chemicals or solvents to any part of the turntable
system.
• Prior to moving the turntable, always unplug it from the AC outlet and
fasten the tone arm on the tone arm rest with the vinyl twist-tie.
How to replace the needle
Removing the needle form the cartridge:
• Place a screwdriver at the tip of the needle heads hell and push
downwards in the direction shown in sketch “A”.
• Remove the needle head shell by pulling it forwards and pushing
downwards.

NOTE: If the unit still does not work after troubleshooting, please call our

IMPORTANT NOTES
The system can detect and read files in MP3 format only via the USB port
or SD card slot. You can connect an MP3 player to the system via the USB
socket, however, some MP3 players may not be able to play via the USB
socket. This is due to variances in the MP3 encoding format, it is not a
malfunction of the system.
There are numerous USB and SD device producers and their products vary in
solution and format. We therefore cannot guarantee that this unit will support
all USB and SD devices from every brand.
