80 GB Hard Drive Capacity for StoringAudio Files and
Recording Radio Sources
Audio files can be ripped from CDs or a USB mass
storage device (such as a digital audio player or
USB memory stick) to the BR-925UKD’s hard
drive.This puts up to 80 gigabytes of music (i.e. up to
20,000 songs*) at your disposal.Not only does the hard
drive let you record directly from radio sources (including
DAB), it also lets you transfer files from a PC using File
Transfer Protocol (FTP).
*Based on 4-minute songs encoded at 128 kilobits per second using MP3.
iPod Playability* via Front-Panel USB Port
Simply connect your iPod directly to the BR-925UKD’s front-panel USB port for
playback of your audio files.The BR-925UKD brings power and depth to digital
audio files,and opens a new dimension to iPod playback.You can use the
included remote control and front-panel display to navigate your files.

DAB RadioAccess with 40 Presets and Radio Data System (RDS)
DAB radio’s interference-free reception and eclectic choice of stations make it
one of the most promising developments in UK broadcasting.With broadcasts
reaching over 85% of the UK, digital radio can be accessed virtually anywhere.
And with two national operators, Digital One and the BBC, you’re never going
to be short of quality programming.The BR-925UKD lets you preset up to 40
of your favorite local and national digital radio stations. It also displays the
program service name (PS) and radio text (RT) through the Radio Data
System (RDS).
VLSC (Vector Linear Shaping Circuitry) to Maintain Clean
Audio Signals
The BR-925UKD usesVLSC to produce a noise-free analog signal from digital
music sources.This technology is effective in removing pulse noise during the
digital-to-analog conversion process, thereby maintaining the purity of the signal.
VLSC ensures you get the best possible audio from CDs and MP3s.
Audyssey EQ™for System Equalization (with Optional
D-N10BX Speakers)
The onboard Audyssey EQ function has been specifically adapted to be able to
equalize the BR-925UKD receiver with Onkyo's D-N10BX speakers.Audyssey
EQ removes much of the distortion caused by speaker enclosures and the
typical room environment, producing greatly improved sound compared to
similar products that don’t feature correction capabilities.
Audyssey Dynamic EQ™for Loudness Correction
Dynamic EQ selects the best frequency response and surround levels moment-
by-moment,for the best listening experience at any volume.Whether loud or
quiet, your sources will deliver a well-rounded sound experience.
Onboard Gracenote Media Database forAudio File Information
The BR-925UKD's hard drive has the Gracenote Media Database to look up
artists’ names, CD titles, track lists, and other information.

Enhancing Features
The optional D-N10BX two-way,bass-reflex speakers are housed in gloss-
finished MDF cabinets that will impress in any environment.Musically, they
incorporate a range of Onkyo speaker developments—A-OMF Monocoque, a
ring-drive tweeter, and Aero Acoustic Drive—designed to match the
BR-925UKD CD/HDD receiver.
