1. The Loevschall PERSEUS Bluetooth Sound System
PERSEUS is a Bluetooth enabled active stereo speaker system designed to fit behind your mirror,
below your cabinets and other similar places. PERSEUS has a built-in amplifier and is driven by 12
VDC. On the front there is a button to activate the pairing mode, and a LED to show system
status.The PERSEUS amplifier has two sound profiles, which ensure the optimum sound
depending on placement.

1. Power socket (DC input)
Connect the DC power supply to this connector..
2. Status indicator (LED)
Indicates the current status:
•OFF – the system is in Standby or has no power
•ON – the system is ON
•Flashing – the system is in pairing mode
3. Bluetooth pairing button
Use this button to start the Bluetooth pairing process.You only need to pair devices that have not been paired with
the speaker before.
4. Service interface (next to the DC input)
This is used only during production. DO NOT CONNECT ANYTHING TO THIS CONNECTOR.

3. Mounting
3.1 Mounting behind a mirror
Use the supplied double sided tape on the bottom of PERSEUS to mount on a clean and even
surface. Just peel off the protection layer and make sure to press the product firmly on to the
surface for at least 30 seconds.

3.2 Mounting on the underside of a cabinet
First mount the bracket onto the cabinet using the supplied screws.
Then place PERSEUS over the bracket so that it aligns with the groove where it is widest. The
bracket should now slide into PERSEUS.

Then slide PERSEUS backwards until the bracket locks into the more narrow part of the groove.
There is a mechanical lock in the design, which will ensure that the bracket snaps into place.

3.3 Connect the power supply
Connect the power supply DC connector (A) to PERSEUS.The mains leads (B) are to be connected
to 230V AC. This is done by connecting the mains leads to the existing installation, or by
mounting a suitable plug onto the mains leads and use a wall outlet socket.

4. Using the PERSEUS Sound System
4.1 On/standby
The system has no OFF mode. When not in use, the system will automatically enter Standby
mode, which ensures a power consumption of less than 0.5W. The system is considered in use
when a device streaming audio is connected, or if a pairing process is started by pressing the
pairing button.The actual state will show on the LED.
4.2 Bluetooth
To connect your Bluetooth enabled device to PERSEUS you first need to pair the devices.
PERSEUS will only pair if it is put into pairing mode. Do this by pressing the “Bluetooth pairing”
button on the front for two seconds, until the LED starts flashing and there is an acoustic
feedback. Please see the user guide of your device for how to pair.The pairing process is done
when a device is paired, or if the time exceeds five minutes.

In the Bluetooth list on your device, PERSEUS will be identified by the name “PERSEUS xxxxxx”,
where xxxxxx is a unique number. After pairing is completed PERSEUS remembers the device,
and vice versa – so next time you just simply connect, no pairing needed.
4.3 Audio profiles
PERSEUS is built for use behind a mirror or below a cabinet.To give the optimum sound, the
system has been equipped with profiles to match these different usages. Default the system is
using the profile for use behind a mirror.To swap profiles do the following:
1. Make sure the system is connected to power
2. Make sure that PERSEUS is in standby (LED off)
3. Press and hold the Bluetooth pairing button for 20 seconds
4. Release the Bluetooth pairing button
5. Profiles will be swapped and feedback given:
a. For ‘mirror’ profile the LED will flash once and there will be one beep in the speaker.
b. For ‘other’ profile the LED will flash twice and there will be two beeps in the
speaker.

Carefully reading this owner’s guide will ensure you the highest possible sound performance and
help you to enjoy all features of the system.
WARNING: No open flame sources, such as lighted candles should be places on or close to
any part of the system.
CAUTION: Long-term exposure to loud music may cause hearing damage. Avoid extreme
volumes for extended periods.
•Clean only with a dry cloth.
•Do not block any ventilation openings. Install in accordance with the manufacturer’s in-
structions.
•Do not install near any heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other ap-
paratus (including amplifiers) that produce heat.
•Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized or grounding-type plug. A polarized
plug has two blades with one wider than the other. A grounding-type plug has two blades
and a third grounding prong. The wide blade or the third prong is provided for your safety.
If the provided plug does not fit into your outlet, consult an electrician for replacement of
the obsolete outlet.
•Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched, particularly at plugs, conven-
ience receptacles, and the point where they exit from the apparatus.
•Only use attachments/accessories specified by the manufacturer.
•Use only with a cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or table specified by the manufacturer, or sold
with the apparatus. When a cart is used, use caution when moving the cart/apparatus
combination to avoid injury from tip-over.

•Unplug this apparatus during lightning storms or when unused for long periods of time.
•Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel. Servicing is required when the apparatus
has been damaged in any way, such as power supply cord or plug is damaged, liquid has
been spilled or objects have fallen into the apparatus, the apparatus has been exposed to
rain or moisture, does not operate normally, or has been dropped.
•The appliance coupler is used as disconnect device, the disconnect device shall remain
readily operable.
•The equipment shall be used at maximum 35 degree C ambient temperature.
This symbol indicates that in EU countries, this product must be collected separately
from household waste, as defined in each region. Products bearing this symbol must

performances sonores optimales et vous aidera à profiter de toutes les fonctions du système.
AVERTISSEMENT: Ne placez aucune source de flamme ouverte, telle que des bougies
allumées, sur ou à proximité de toute partie du système.
ATTENTION: Une exposition à long terme à de la musique à haut niveau sonore risque
d'endommager votre ouïe. Évitez de régler le volume à un niveau extrême
pendant des périodes prolongées.
•Nettoyez l’appareil à l’aide d’un chiffon sec.
•Installez l’appareil en respectant les instructions du fabricant.
•Éloignez l’appareil des sources de chaleur: radiateurs, bouches de chaleur, fours et autres
(y compris les amplificateurs).
•Respectez le dispositif de mise à la terre de la prise secteur. Une prise polarisée est
équipée de deux fiches, l’une plus large que l’autre. Une prise avec borne de terre est
équipée de deux fiches et d’une borne de terre. La fiche large, ou la borne de terre, sont
garantes de votre sécurité. Si la fiche
•secteur fournie avec l’appareil ne correspond pas à la prise secteur de votre installation,
faites remplacer cette dernière par un électricien.
•Disposez les câbles de sorte qu’ils ne puissent pas être piétinés, coincés ou pincés ; une
attention toute particulière doit être accordée au niveau des prises secteur et de l’embase
secteur de l’appareil.
•Utilisez uniquement les câbles/accessoires recommandés par le fabricant.
•Utilisez uniquement le chariot, pied, support, etc., spécifié par le fabricant ou vendu avec
l’appareil. Lorsque vous utilisez un chariot, soyez très prudent lorsque vous le déplacer
pour éviter toute chute et tout accident.
•Débranchez cet appareil du secteur lors des orages ou des longues périodes de non
utilisation.
•Adressez-vous à un technicien qualifié pour toute réparation. L’intervention d’un
technicien est nécessaire dans les cas suivants: le cordon d’alimentation ou la prise secteur
sont endommagés, des corps étrangers ou du liquide se sont introduits dans l’appareil,
l’appareil a été exposé à la pluie ou à l’humidité, l’appareil montre des signes de
dysfonctionnement ou est tombé.
