1. INTRODUCTION
The ME-200B is designedto bemounted on the
COMPACT audio matrix.
Is used bypersonnel in charge of evacuating a
bui lding to activate or deactivate the emergency
mode, initiate or stop the pre-re corded alert and
evacuation messagesand for broadcasting live
voice messages during an emergency.
Includesa hand-held microphone with a buil t-in
push-button. The system constantly monitors
the status of the microphone capsule.
When thesystemis notin EmergencyMode, the
ME-200B may be used to make live voice
announcements in local zones, using the front
controls on the audio matrix to s el ect the
destination of the messages.
2. COMPONENTS
1) Microphone.
2) Microphone TALK push-button. Keep the
button pressed to talk.
3) Monitor speaker. Allows monitoring the
channels of the audio matrix.
4) Microphone connection (see figure 3).
5) Audio level indicator. Shows the audio l e vel
of the mi crophone and of the audio channels
when they are being monitored.
6) EMERGENCY push-button. EmergencyMode
push-button. The push-button remains lit
while the system is in EmergencyMode.
7) EVACUATION push-button. Activates the
evacuation message. Operatesonly when the
sys tem i s in Emergency Mode. Incorporates a
push-button ON indicator light.
8) WARNING push-button. Activates the
warningmessage.Operates only when the
sys tem i s in Emergency Mode. Incorporates a
push-button ON indicator light.
9) RESET push-button. The Emergency Mode is
turned off.
10) MICROPHONE indicator. It illuminateswhen
the button(2) on the microphone is pressed
to indicate that you can begin talking.

3. OPERATIONS IN NORMAL MODE
3.1.Sending a live voice announcement
When thesystemis notin EmergencyMode, the hand-held microphone of the ME-200B maybe used to make live voice
announcements in local zones, usingthe front controls on the audio matrix to select the destination of the messages.
1. Using the navigation keys / select the
zones/groups menu ( ) and press the
navigation keyto access this menu.
2. Using the navigation keys /select the
destinationzone of the message and press
the OK button.
Press the OK button again. The selected
zones are displayed preceded by the i con .
Repeat this process with all the zones you
want to sel ect
To cancel a selection, place the cursor over
the selected zone and press OK twice.
3. Once the desiredzones are selected, press
and hold themicrophone button. You can
begin speaking when the MICROPHONE
indicator light illuminates.
4. At the end of the message, release the
microphone pushbutton.

3.2.Monitoring a channel
When thesystemis notin EmergencyMode, you can monitortheaudiomatrixchannelsvia theME-200B speaker. To a ccomplish
thi s :
1. Using the navigation keys / s elect the
settings menu ( ) andpress the navigation
ke y to access this menu.
2. Using the navigation keys /select
CHANNEL MONITOR and press OK.
3. Usingthenavigation keys /select the
channelyou wishto monitor(from channel 1
to 16).
3.3.Changing the monitoring volume
From the channel monitoring screen (see section 3.2. Monitoring a channel)press the navigation keyto setthedesired volume
in 25% increments.

4. OPERATIONS IN EMERGENCY MODE
4.1.Entering the EmergencyMode
1. Press theEMERGENCY button The EMERGENCY button illuminates to indicate that the system is in EMERGENCY MODE.
4.2.Activating a warning message
1. Press theWARNING button (the system must be i n Emergency Mode). The WARNING button indicator light illuminates and the
warning message begins to play.
2. Press the RESET button to stop the message. The system exits the EmergencyMode.
If an EVACUATION message is played while the WARNING message is playing, the WARNING message will stop.
If a live voice message is sent while the WARNING message is playing, the WARNING message stops playingwhile the live voice
announcement is being broadcast.Whenthe livevoice message ends, the WARNING message will automaticallyresume
playing.
4.3.Activating an evacuation message
1. Press theEVACUATION button (the systemmust be in emergency mode). The EVACUATION button indicator light illuminates
and the evacuation message begins to play.
2. Press the RESET button to stop the message. The system exits the EmergencyMode.
The EVACUATION message ta kes priority over the WARNING message: the activation of the evacua tion message stops the
WARNING message.
If a live voice message is sent while the EVACUATION message is playing, the EVACUATION message stops playingwhilethe live
voice announcementisbeingbroadcast.Whenthelivevoicemessage ends, the EVACUATION message will automatically
resume playing.
4.4.Sending a live voice message in Emergency Mode
1. Press and hold the button on the microphone (the system must be in emergency mode).
2. You can begin speaking when the MICROPHONE indicator light illuminates.
3. To finish the broadcast, release the microphone button.

WARNING message.
4.5.Exiting the Emergency Mode
Press theRESET key. The EMERGENCY button light goesout to indicate that the desktop pagings ystem is no longer in Emergency
Mode.
Entering the EMERGENCY MODE entails that all the basicfunctions of the system will be disabled(general purpose messages
and music programmes). On the otherhand, the indicator lights illuminate and the systemcontacts configured as EMERGENCY
MODE indicators are made. For example, the s creens of the DC-700ETHdesktopandthe matrixdisplay the emergency menu
and theEMERGENCYpush-button illuminates;the EMERGENCY indicatorlight on the slave matrix illuminates and the output
contacts configured as Emergency Mode Notification of the uni ts are made...)
All the emergencymessages (live voice messagesas well as pre-recorded WARNING and EVACUATION messages) will be
broadcast to the EMERGENCY GROUP. The EMERGENCY GROUP must have been previously configured via the Call Point
software.
The WARNING and EVACUATION messages are assigned and configured via the Call Point software.
In EMERGENCYMODE,live voice announcements takepriorityover an EVACUATION message and in turn, an EVACUATION
message takes priorityover a WARNING message.

8. GUARANTEE
1. GUARANTEE CERTIFICATE
1. OPTIMUS S.A. guarantees that its products are free from material and
manufacturing defects when they are first delivered to the purchaser.
2. In accordance with the conditions outlined here, OPTIMUS S.A. guarantees
its products for two (2) years from the date on which the purchaser acquires the
product. If, within this guarantee period, defects appear which are not due to
factors outlined in section 2, OPTIMUS S.A. shall replace or repair the unit using
equivalent, new or reconstructed replacement parts, as it deems fit. If
replacement parts are applied which improve the unit, OPTIMUS S.A. reserves
the right to charge the client for the additional cost of these components.
3. No guarantee benefits shall be provided other than those cited here.
4. In order to claim the guarantee rights, it shall be an essential requirement
to present the original purchase invoice or the guarantee certificate.
2. GUARANTEE PROVISIONS
1. In the event that the product had to be modified or adapted to comply with
local requirements concerning technical specifications or safety, and if the
country in question is not the country for which the product was originally
des igned and manufactured, defects are not considered to be material or
manufacturing defects. Furthermore, the guarantee does not cover the
execution of these modifications or adaptations, regardless of whether or not
they have been carried out correctly.
Nor shall OPTIMUS S.A. be responsible for any costs under this guarantee for
these types of modifications.
2. The guarantee shall not entitle the purchaser to inspection or free
maintenance or repair of the unit, particularly if the defects are due to
inappropriate use. Nor do the guarantee rights cover defects in wearing parts
that become worn as a result of normal wear and tear. Wearing parts are, in
particular, potentiometers, switches/keys, and similar parts.
3. The guarantee does not cover defects in the equipment unit caused by:
•Abuse or incorrect use of the unit for purposes other than those for which it
is intended, in non-compliance with the service and maintenance
instructions specified in the Manual and/or Technical Instructions for the
unit.
•Connection or use of the product in a manner that does not correspond to
the technical or safety requirements of the country in which the unit is
used.
•Installation in conditions other than those indicated in the Manual and/or
Technical Instructions.
•Deficiency or interruptions in the electricity supply or installation defects
which imply use in abnormal conditions.
•Damage caused by other equipment units that are connected to the
product.
•The use or installation of Software (programmes), interfaces, parts or
supplies not provided and/or not authorised by OPTIMUS S.A.
•Failure to use the original packaging for transportation.
•Damage caused by force majeure or other causes not attributable to
OPTIMUS S.A.
4. The following elements are not covered by this guarantee:
•All plastic surfaces and all parts exposed to outdoor conditions which have
been scratched or damaged as a result of normal or abnormal use.
•Breakages, knocks, damage due to a fall or scratches caused by moving the
unit in any way.
•Damage caused by tests, use, maintenance, installation or inappropriate
adjustments, or as a result of any alteration or modification of any kind not
carried out by a Service Authorised by OPTIMUS S.A. in compliance with this
guarantee.
•Damage to persons or property that might be caused by the improper use
of the equipment, including lack of maintenance.
5. The guarantee shall not bevalid whenever the following is observed:
•Amendments or corrections made to the details of the guarantee certificate
or purchase invoice.
•Failure to produce the original invoice or the absence of a date on this.
•Absence of the serial or batch number on the equipment.
6. In the case of personal computers, the guarantee will not cover the
elimination of computer viruses, the restoration of programmes damaged by
these or the reinstallation of the disk following its deletion.
7. The rights of this guarantee are invalidated if the product has been repaired
or opened by staff unauthorised by OPTIMUS S.A. or by the client himself.
8. If OPTIMUS S.A. were to establish before the client that the damage
affecting the unit does not entitle a claim to be made under the guarantee, the
costs of checking the equipment incurred by OPTIMUS S.A. shall be borne by the
client.
9. Products not covered by the guarantee shall only be repaired once payment
has been effected by the client. In the event that the guarantee rights do not
apply, OPTIMUS S.A. shall duly inform the client. If, within a period of 6 weeks
from this communication, no written repair order is received from the client
confirming acceptance of the costs, OPTIMUS S.A. shall return the unit in
question to the client. In this case, the transport and packaging costs shall be
invoiced separately and payment shall be made on delivery. In the event that a
repair order is sent by the client, confirming that he assumes the costs of repair,
the transport and packaging costs shall be invoiced additionally, and also
separately.
10. If the equipment needs to be transferred to the Authorised Service Centre,
transportation shall be effected by the responsible party according to the
guarantee, who will also bear the freight and insurance costs.
11. In the event of a defect, OPTIMUS S.A. guarantees that the repair and/or
replacement of parts so that the unit operates correctly will be made within a
period of no more than 30 days. Nevertheless, OPTIMUS S.A. would like to clarify
that the normal period does not exceed 30 days.
12. All parts or products replaced as part of the guarantee services shall
become the property of OPTIMUS S.A.
3. TRANSFER OF GUARANTEE
The guarantee is solely awarded to the original purchaser (principal client) and is
not transferable. With the exception of OPTIMUS S.A., no third party (dealers,
etc.) is authorised to award additional guarantees on behalf of OPTIMUS S.A.
4. CLAIMS FOR DAMAGE
In the event that OPTIMUS S.A. cannot provide a suitable guarantee service, the
purchaser shall not be entitled to claim any indemnity for damages arising. The
responsibility held by OPTIMUS S.A. is limited in all cases to the invoicing price of
the product.
5. RELATION WITH OTHER GUARANTEE RIGHTS AND NATIONAL LAW
1. This guarantee does not affect the rights of the purchaser with respect to the
vendor arising from the contract of sale accomplished.
2. These conditions of the guarantee provided by OPTIMUS S.A. are valid as long
as they do not contradict the corresponding national law on guarantee
provisions.
3. OPTIMUS S.A. guarantees that this product complies with the safety
regulations in force in the country.
THIS LIMITED GUARANTEE D ECLARATION IS THE EXCLUSIVE GUARANTEE
OFFERED BY OPTIMUS S.A. ALL OTHER EXPLICIT OR IMPLICIT GUARANTEES ARE
EXCLUDED, AND THIS ALSO APPLIES TO GUARANTEES OF MARKETABILITY AND
SUITABILITY FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. (EXCEPT WHEN THESE GUARANTEES
ARE REQUIRED BY AN APPLICABLE LAW). NO GUARANTEE, EITHER EXPLICIT OR
IMPLICIT, SHALL BE APPLIED ONCE THE GUARANTEE PERIOD HAS EXPIRED

1. INTRODUCCIÓN
Panel de bomberos de alarma por voz diseñado
para ser montado en la matriz de audio
COMPACT.
Se utiliza por el personal encargado de la
evacuación de un edificio para activar o
des activar el modo emergencia, iniciar o detener
los mensajespregrabados de alerta y evacuación
y lanzar mensajesde viva voz en situaciones de
emergencia.
Incluye un micrófono de mano con pulsador
incorporado. El sistema supervisa
constantemente el estado de la cápsula del
micrófono.
Cuandoel sistema noestá en Modo Emergencia,
puede utilizarseel ME-200B para enviar avisos
de vi va voz a zonas locales, seleccionando el
destinoa través de los controles frontales de la
matriz de audio.
2. ELEMENTOS
1) Micrófono.
2) Pulsador TALK del micrófono. Mantenga
pulsado el botón para hablar.
3) Altavoz monitor. Permite monitorizar los
canales de audio de la matriz.
4) Conexión del micrófono (ver fi gura 3).
5) Indicador de nivel de audio. Muestra el nivel
de a udio del micrófono y de los canales de
audio al monitorizarlos.
6) Pulsador EMERGENCY. Pulsadorde entrada
en Modo Emergencia. El pulsador permanece
iluminadomientras el sistema está en Modo
Emergencia.
7) Pulsador EVACUATION. Activa el aviso de
evacuación. Funciona únicamente si el
sistema está en modo emergencia.Incorpora
indicadorluminoso de pulsador activado.
8) Pulsador WARNING. Activa el mensaje de
alerta.Funcionaúnicamente si el sistema
está en modo emergencia. Incorpora
indicadorluminoso de pulsador activado.
9) Pulsador RESET. Finaliza el Modo
Emergencia.
10) Indicador MICROPHONE. Se enciende al
pulsar el botón del micrófono (2) indicando
que se puede empezar a hablar.
11) Ajuste del volumen de micrófono.

3. OPERACIONES EN MODO NORMAL
3.1.Enviar un aviso de viva voz
Cuando el sistema no está en Modo Emergencia, puede utilizarse el micrófono de mano del módulo ME-200B para enviar avisos de
viva voz a zonas locales, seleccionando el destino a través de los controles frontales de la matriz de audio.
1. Me di ante lasteclas de navegación / 
seleccione el menú dezonas/grupos ( ) y
pulse la tecla de navegación para acceder
a dicho menú.
2. Me di ante las teclas de navegación /
seleccione la zona destino del mensaje y
pulse el botón OK.
Pulse de nuevo el botón OK. La zona
seleccionada aparece precedidas del icono
.
Repita este proceso con todas laszonas que
desea seleccionar.
Para anular una selección, sitúese sobre la
zona seleccionada y pulse OK dos veces.
3. Una ve z seleccionadas las zonasque desee,
pulse y mantenga pulsado el botón del
micrófono.Cuando el indicador luminoso
MICROPHONE se enciende puede empeza r
a hablar.
4. Para finalizar el aviso, deje de pulsar el
botón del micrófono.

3.2.Monitorizar un canal
Cuando el sistema no está en Modo Emergencia, puede monitorizarlos canales de la matriz d e a udio a través del altavoz del ME-
200B. Para ello:
1. Me di ante las teclas de navegación / 
seleccioneel menú ajustes ( ) ypulse la
tecla de navegación para acceder a dicho
menú.
2. Mediante las teclas de navegación /
seleccione MONITOR CANALES y pulse OK.
3. Mediante las teclas de navegación /
seleccioneelcanal que desea monitorizar
(del canal 1 al 16).
3.3.Modificar el volumen de monitorización
Desde la pantalla de monitorización de canales (ver apartado 3.2. Monitorizar un canal)pulse la tecla de navegación para
establecer el volumen que desee en incrementos del 25%.

4. OPERACIONES EN MODO EMERGENCIA
4.1.Entrar en Modo Emergencia
1. Pul s e el botón EMERGENCY. El botón EMERGENCY se ilumina indicando que el sistema está en MODO EMERGENCIA.
4.2.Activar un mensaje de alerta (WARNING)
1. Puls e el botón WARNING (es necesario estar en Modo Emergencia). Se ilumina el indicador luminoso del botón WARNING y
empieza a reproducirse el mensaje de alerta.
2. Para detenerlo pulse el botón RESET. El sistema sale del Modo Emergencia.
Si durante la reproduccióndel mensaje de WARNING se activa la reproducción de un mensaje de EVACUATION, el mensaje de
WARNING se detiene.
Si durante la reproduccióndel mensaje de WARNING se envía un mensaje de viva voz, el mensaje de WARNING se detiene
mientrasse está emitiendo el aviso de viva voz. Cuando el me ns a je de vi va vo z finaliza, se retoma automáticamente la
reproducción del mensaje de WARNING.
4.3.Activar un mensaje de evacuación (EVACUATION)
1. Puse el botón EVACUATION (es necesario estar en modo emergencia). Se ilumina el indicador luminoso del botón EVACUATION
y empieza a reproducirse el mensaje de evacuación.
2. Para detenerlo, pulse el botón RESET. El sistema sale del Modo Emergencia.
El m e n sa je de EVACUATIONes prioritario sobre el mensaje de WARNING: la activación del mensaje de evacuación detiene el
mensaje de WARNING.
Si durantela reproduccióndel mensajedeEVACUATION se envía un mensaje de viva voz, el mensaje de EVACUATION se
detiene mientrasse está emitiendo el aviso de viva voz. Cuando el mensaje de viva voz finaliza, se retoma automáticamente la
reproducción del mensaje de EVACUATION.
4.4.Enviar un mensaje de viva voz en Modo Emergencia
1. Pulse y mantenga apretado el pulsador del micrófono (es necesario estar en modo emergencia).
2. Cuando el indicador luminoso MICROPHONE se encienda, empiece a hablar.
3. Para finalizarel aviso suelte el pulsadordel micrófono.
El avisodevivavozesprioritariorespecto al mensaje de EVACUATION, yeste a su vez es prioritario sobre el de WARNING.
4.5.Salir del Modo Emergencia
Pulse la tecla RESET. El pulsador EMERGENCY se apaga, indicando que el pupitre ha salido del Modo Emergencia.
Entraren MODO EMERGENCIA implica que todas las funcionesbásicas del sistema quedan deshabilitadas (mensajes de
ca rácter generaly progra mas musicales). Porelcontrario, se activan los indicadores luminosos ycontactos del sistema
configuradoscomoindicadoresdeMODOEMERGENCIA.Porejemplo, las pantallas del pupitre DC-700ETH yde la matriz
muestran el menúde emergencia yel pulsador EMERGENCIA se ilumina, enla matriz esclava se enciendeel indicadorluminoso
EMERGENCY, se activan los contactos de salida configurados como Notificación Modo Emergencia de los equipos...)
Todos los mensajes deemergencia,tanto de viva voz como los pregrabados de WARNING y EVACUATION, tendrán como
destinoel GRUPO EMERGENCIA. El GRUPO EMERGENCIA debe haberseconfigurado previamente mediante el software Call
Point.
Los mensajes de WARNING y EVACUATION se asignan yconfiguran mediante el software Call Point.
En MODO EMERGENCIA, el avisode viva voz es prioritario respecto al mensaje de EVACUATION, y e ste a su vez es prioritario
sobre el mensaje de WARNING.
