Supplying an external temperature sensor from batteries
The sensor is powered by 2 1.5V AAA batteries and has the following
features:
• waterproof (do not immerse it in water, resistant to rain only)
• a bright surface to avoid sun-warming
• wireless communication.
Insert the batteries into the outdoor sensor within three minutes of
activating the internal device. When the batteries are inserted, the
sensor starts to transmit a signal and the outside temperature will be
displayed on the internal device.
If this does not occur within 15 minutes, remove the batteries from the
external device and disconnect the internal device from the power
supply. Then first activate the indoor and then within 3 minutes the
outdoor device.
1 Open the outside temperature sensor cover and open the battery
compartment.
2 Insert 2 1.5V AAA batteries into the battery compartment of the outdoor
temperature sensor. Observe the correct polarity + and - marked inside
the compartment.
3 Close the battery compartment by inserting the cover.
4 Attach the outdoor temperature sensor to the selected location.
Place the sensor in an outdoor area with adequate ventilation, away
from sunlight (you can mount it on the wall with the eyelet on the back).
The operating range is 30 m from the unit (no obstacles only). We
recommend placing it as close as possible to the main device.
Notes
• Do not insert any other objects into the battery compartment.
• If you will not be using the unit for a long period of time, remove the
batteries to prevent battery leakage and corrosion.
• Observe the correct polarity + and -. If batteries are stored in the wrong
polarity, the batteries and the device itself may be damaged.
• Replace the batteries whenever the external display is no longer present
temperature.
