Introduction
Products
Touch Screens
Orcomm has multiple types of Touch Screens. All 7” and 10” Smart Screens use the same GUI (General User
Interface) as well as programming instructions.
Models: ORC-7T-BL-NL, ORC-7T-WH-NL, ORC-7TF-WH-NL, ORC-7TF-BL-NL, ORC-10T-BL-NL
Gateway
Orcomm Master gateway is known as ORC-HAGW (Home Automation Gateway). To program the gateway
you will require Smart Home Touch Screen (or program software)
Note: Typical installations using the Master Gateway will not need direct programming.

Gateway Extensions
Orcomm offer multiple Extension modules. Depending on outputs each Gateway extension will provide the
system with Inputs (Digital and Analogue), outputs (0-10V, 0V, 12V, 24V, Relay 10A)
Note: Typical installations using the extension module will not need direct programming.
Models: ORC-HAGW-EXT-A, ORC-HAGW-EXT-B, ORC-HAGW-EXT-C, ORC-HAGW-EXT-D

Touch Screen
Heating Enabled
To ensure your system works correctly check the main page has “Heating Control” ICON.
Door Entry & Heating Control Door Entry, Heating & Lighting Full Smart Home
Heating not Enabled
Should your system not have “Heating Control” enabled on the screen then follow the below steps
Door Entry Door Entry & Lighting
Step 1. Connect any PC to the network and enter IP address (or if concierge installed use Toolbox)
Step 2. Log into the web browser of the screen (default login = U: admin P: 123456)
Step 3. Select Modules on left menu
Step 4. Enable the “Heating Control” option, and click “submit”
Step 5. Log out of web browser

Zones / Rooms
Pre-programmed
Before commissioning the smart home system check with the Project Manager or orcomm as the system
may have pre-configured settings to ensure fast installation and simplified maintenance.
If the system has been pre-programmed you can move straight to the commissioning section.
Hidden Engineer Menu
Select
Press and hold for 5 seconds the top right corner (hidden access page)
NOTE: the hidden area will time out if the screen is not touched for a period.
Info: Network information only
Zone: Setup area for Zone / Rooms
Advanced: Extra installer settings (require password)
Hidden menu is designed for quick information or
amending room details.
Ideally accessible by installer or competent persons

New Zone / Room
To add new room Enter hidden menu section
Select “More” from main page Hold top corner for 5 seconds
1. Select “Zones” 2. Select “Setup”
3. Select “Add New Zone” 4. Complete new room details, then “Save”
Then Exit back to MAIN page

Commissioning
ORC-HC2 Room Thermostat
Heating Test
Full Test - heating ensure the mechanical installation is complete (for example UFH actuators are wired and
tested manually.
Follow documentation for testing procedure. Please contact orcomm or the approved partner should require
another copy.
Quick test –To test the heating set the Thermostat Room Controller to maximum degrees. Wait for 1 minute
and check the mechanical equipment has changed state. Once active set degrees to minimum and check
mechanical equipment.
Modbus Address test –To test and ensure the TRC is set to correct Modbus ID follow ORC-HC2 instructions.
To enter hidden menu on TRC.
Press power to turn off.
Then press “M”followed with “Clock/Fan”then release after 3 seconds (or when screen
changes)
Then press “M”till you reach option 9, and the number displayed in larger text is Modbus ID.
To change select “up”and “down”till desired ID number then wait for 5 seconds and it will save
and also time out.
If correct wait for time out on screen.

Cooling Test
Full Test - Cooling ensure the mechanical installation is complete (for example FCU wired and tested
manually).
Follow documentation for testing procedure. Please contact orcomm or the approved partner should require
another copy.
Quick test –To test the cooling set the Thermostat Room Controller to minimum degrees. Wait for 1 minute
and check the mechanical equipment has changed state. Once active set degrees to maximum and check
mechanical equipment.
Modbus Address test –To test and ensure the TRC is set to correct Modbus ID follow ORC-HC2 instructions.
To enter hidden menu on TRC.
Press power to turn off.
Then press “M”followed with “Clock/Fan”then release after 3 seconds (or when screen
changes)

Temperature compensation
REMINDER: Both the Thermostat Room Controller & Touch screen must be set with the same offset
Offset on TRC –To change the degrees offset follow below.
To enter hidden menu on TRC.
Press power to turn off.
Then press “M”followed with “Clock/Fan”then release after 3 seconds (or when screen
changes)
Then press “M”till you reach option 1, and the number displayed in larger text is current offset value.
To change offset select “up”and “down”till desired value then wait for 5 seconds and it will
save and also time out.
If correct wait for time out on screen.

Offset on Touch Screen –To change offset on screen follow below
To change offset value in hidden menu section
Select “More” from main page Hold top corner for 5 seconds
1. Select “Zones” 2. Select “Setup”
3. Select “Devices”4. Click on Thermostat
4. Change values for Offset ( -9 to +9 ) 6. Then “Save”
Then Exit back to MAIN page
