The DVR can rec rd audi up t 16(8) s urces. C nnect the audi s urces t the Audi -In RCA
c nnect rs. All channels need external pre-amplifiers.
It is the user's resp nsibility t determine if l cal laws and regulati ns permit rec rding audi .
Video Output
Select display m de n rear panel and c nnect selected devices (HDMI, VGA and CVBS). Select
switch bef re p wer n system. It may display different display when using VGA/CVBS m de. .
F r example, Live display n a m nit r and playback n ther m nit r. Dual Display feature
pr vides user c nvenient feature by user’s wn selecti n.

Note
: D n t c nnect r disc nnect when DVR is perating. When c nnect eSATA device, turn
DVR ff and c nnect and turn n the System. T plug ut eSATA, turn DVR ff first and unplug
device.
• RS-232C: An RS-232C c nnect r is pr vided t c nnect an ATM r POS machine f r Text-In
functi n. Use a cable with a DB9 (female) c nnect r t c nnect t the DVR.
• Reset: The DVR has a Reset switch that will nly be used t return all the settings t the
riginal fact ry settings. T reset the unit, turn the DVR ff first. Turn it n again while p king
the straightened paperclip in the reset h le. H ld the switch until the DVR is initializing.
• Power Connector: C nnect adapter cable t the p wer c nnect r n the rear panel. (DC12V,
9A) Input AC p wer t the adapter. (free v ltage fr m 100V t 240V, 50/60Hz)
Sensor Input

signal the DVR with event. T make c nnecti ns n

insert the wire in the h le bel w the butt n.
larm Output & RS485
16(8) alarm utput c nnect rs are pr vided t
c nnect external alarms such as sirens r lights. 4
alarm utput c nnect rs have internal relays
(Premium m del nly) and the thers are TTL
signals.
The RS485 c nnect r can be used t c ntr l PTZ
cameras. The DVR can als be c ntr lled rem tely
by a c ntr l keyb ard.
• Front USB: Tw USB p rts are pr vided t c nnect external devices like HDD, Flash mem ry
f r Backup, System upgrade r USB m use n the fr nt panel.

: This manual c vers the 8-channel and 16-channel DVRs. The DVRs are identical except f r
the number f cameras, audi inputs and alarms. The illustrati ns and descripti ns in this manual
refer t the 16 channel m del.

• Unplug p wer plug and antenna when there are thunders and lightening. (May cause fire.)

change the c l r and unpeel paint.
• D n t put several plugs at same time. (May cause electric sh ck.) If there is sm ke r strange
smell, st p perati n. In this case, turn the p wer ff and unplug it, and then c ntact ur
service center. (If y u keep using it, this may cause fire r electric sh ck.)
• D n t unplug by pulling c rd. (If c rd is damaged, it may cause fire r electric sh ck.)
• D n t plug r unplug with wet hands. (May cause electric sh ck.)

1. Basic Operation
1-1. Front Panel & IR Remote Controller

Pressing camera butt ns and Enter butt n will cause the
selected camera t display full screen. Butt ns are used t

Enters the Setup Menu. User will need t enter the auth rized
passw rd t assess Setup. In Playback m de, MENU butt n
displays the Playback Menu.
DISPLAY Butt n
Changes the s

Displays live channels sequentially.

1-2. Turning on the System
C nnecting the p wer c rd will turn n the p wer f DVR. It will take appr ximately 40 t 50
sec nds f r the system t be initialized. Once the system is initialized, it will display live screen,
and begin t rec rd vide aut matically.
Note
: T turn ff the system, select SHUTDOWN under main menu (MENU > SHUTDOWN) and
unplug the p wer c rd when the shutd wn message appears.
Note
: When installing the HDD f r the first time, the HDD sh uld be f rmatted first.
