5PLAYBACK MODE
Playback mode allows you to remotely play a video located on
your DVR hard drive. To get to Playback, tap the icon in the
top left corner.
BEGIN PLAYBACK
1. Press the icon in the top right corner to go to the Channel
List. Here you can access the list of available cameras, and
enable one or more cameras to display in playback mode.
2. Press > next to your device to open the camera list.
3. Select the cameras you wish to enable (a red tick indicates
which cameras have been selected)
4. Press the ‘Start time’ dialog box to select a start time for the
playback. Press the dialog box again to confirm.
5. Press the ‘End time’ dialog box to select an end time for the
playback. Press the dialog box again to confirm.
6. Tap ‘Start Playback’ at the bottom of the screen to begin
playback.
7. To stop playback of all cameras, tap . To restart, go to step
1 and repeat the steps.
FULLSCREEN VIEW
1. In Playback, double tap a camera to view it in full screen.
Rotate your screen to see a bigger view.
2. Double tap again to return to standard view.
TAKING SNAPSHOTS/RECORDING VIDEO
1. In Playback, tap a camera to select it. A yellow square will
appear around that camera’s viewing window.
2. Press the icon to save a snapshot within the app, or press
the icon to save a video recording within the app.
OTHER FEATURES
To select a time period to view, tap and hold the timeline. The
colour of the timeline bar indicates an alarm interval (red), sched-
uled recording (green) and continuous recording (yellow). Scroll
left or right until you reach the desired time. Tap twice to zoom
in for precise control. Tap twice to return to standard view.
Pause or play a selected channel by pressing .
Press to play sub stream video (not applicable on this model).
Recording schedules, manual recordings and motion events
must be configured within the DVR.

6ADD OR DELETE DEVICES
ADD NEW DEVICES
1. Open the menu bar and select ‘Device Manager’.
2. Tap the icon in the top right corner to open the Add
Device page.
3. Press the QR code icon and scan the QR code on your
DVR device.
4. Press ‘name’ to give your DVR a name that will make it easy
to recognise.
5. Enter your DVR password. If you have not set a password on
your DVR, leave this blank.
6. Select the number of channels for your DVR (select 4 for this
SC148 model)
7. Tap ‘Add Device’ at the bottom of the screen to confirm
Note: When scanning your DVR QR code, the Device ID will
automatically be entered. If you cannot scan it, tap and type in
the Device ID showing on your DVR screen (See SC148 Quick
Installation Guide for your reference).
DELETE EXISTING DEVICES
1. Open the menu bar and select ‘Device Manager’.
2. Tap the icon next to the device you wish to remove.
3. Select ‘Delete’.
EDIT EXISTING DEVICES
1. Open the menu bar and select ‘Device Manager’.
2. Tap the icon next to the device you wish to edit.
To edit your device name, device ID, user ID or password, press
‘Local Config’ and then ‘Connect Parameters’.
To activate or mute alarms, press the icon next to the
channel you wish to edit. Press ‘Remote Config’ and then
‘Alarm Settings’. Here you can also set motion detection
(‘check switch’) and adjust the sensitivity of your camera’s mo-
tion detection by pressing ‘Sensitivity’.
7NOTIFICATIONS
When motion is detected, you will receive an alarm notification.
You can view these notifications by opening the Menu Bar and
pressing ‘Alarm Manager’. To activate or mute these notifica-
tions, open the Menu Bar and press Device Manager (follow the
‘Edit Existing Devices’ above).
Each notification will display the date, time and camera that
detected the motion. Tap the icon, and then ‘confirm’ to
clear all notifications.
8IMAGES AND RECORDINGS
To view saved snapshots and video recordings, open the Menu
Bar and select ‘Files’. Tap your DVR to display a thumbnail of
each snapshot and recording. Snapshots and recordings are
categorised by date. Turn your mobile device horizontal for a
larger view of recordings.
IMAGES
Swipe left to display previous snapshot.
Swipe right to display next snapshot.
Tap to save a snapshot to your phone’s photo album. The
app will ask for access to your phone’s photo album.
Tap to delete a selected message.
