CROP DISEASE RATE CRITICAL COMMENTS
Apples Powdery Mildew
Black Spot
100ml per 100L
(at least 2.5L/ha)
Apply from green tip to full bloom at 7-10 day intervals
or as required, ensuring good coverage. Continue at
10-14 day intervals as required from full bloom. Use the
shorter interval where disease has been or is severe.
Use after late pink may cause russet. Some suppression
of European red mite may be obtained. May be applied
using semi-concentrate equipment. Do not apply within
35 days of harvest.
Resistance Management: Always mix with a
blackspot protectant fungicide. Do not use more than 4
applications during the season. In seasons of extreme
disease pressure a maximum of 6 applications in
mixtures could be used.
Cucurbits Powdery mildew 150ml per 100L
(at least 1.5L/ha)
Apply at the rst sign of infection and repeat 10 days later.
Do not apply within 3 days of harvest.
Resistance Management: Apply a maximum of two
Saprol sprays per crop per year, preferably in mixture
with non-DMI fungicide. Use non-DMI fungicides at
other times. Ensure full coverage of foliage.
Currants
(Red and
black)
Mycosphaerella
leaf spot
200mL per 100L
(2L/ha for rst
year bushes
and 4L ha for
cropping bushes)
Apply at 10-14 day intervals from early green tip to
10% owering. Immediately post harvest resume
application at 200mL per 100L at 14-21 day intervals
and continue at 14-21 day intervals until growth stops.
Good coverage is important.
Grapes Powdery Mildew 100mL per 100L
(at least 2L/ha)
Commence application bud burst and repeat every
2-3 weeks.
CAUTION: Continued use after owering may cause
russeting of berries with some varieties. Do not apply
within 14 days of harvest.
Resistance Management: Use a maximum of four
Saprol applications per season, preferably mixed with
a protectant fungicide (eg. Sulphur or Delan®). Do not
apply before owering. No more than two Saprol sprays
should be applied alone per season.

Black spot
Powdery Mildew
Rust
100mL per 100L Apply as a high volume spray when infection is expected and repeat at 10-14 day intervals. Caution should be exercised over mixing Saprol with other products and it is
recommended that a few plants be sprayed with any proposed mixture to ensure their tolerance.
Powdery Mildew
Rust
100mL per 100L Apply when infection is expected and repeat as necessary.
Resistance Management: Apply a maximum of three Saprol sprays per crop preferably in mixture with protectant fungicide. Use non DMI fungicides at other times. Ensure
full coverage of foliage.
Stone fruit
(excluding plums)
Brownrot 100mL per 100L
(at least 2L/ha)
POST HARVEST DIP TO
CONTROL BROWN ROT:
100mL per 100L
Apply at 7-10 day intervals from pink bud to shuck fall. Use the shorter spray
interval under severe infection conditions or where heavy infection has occurred in the previous season. Under slow drying conditions some skin marking may occur on
smooth skin varieties where spray deposits run to drips. Do not apply within one day of harvest. Saprol may provide some suppression of European red mite.
Resistance Management: Apply a maximum of three Saprol sprays, preferably in a mixture with non DMI fungicide. Use non DMI fungicides at other times.
Dip fruit for 30 seconds as soon as practical after harvest.
Note: Rhizopus fruit rot will not be controlled.
Stone fruit
(excluding plums)
Rust 100mL per 100L Apply at rst sign of disease and repeat at 10-14 day intervals using the shorter interval if the disease is severe.
Resistance Management: Apply a maximum of three Saprol sprays, preferably in a mixture with non DMI fungicide. Use non DMI fungicides at other times.
Strawberries Frogs eye leaf spot 200mL per 100L
(Use a minimum of 2L/ha)
Begin spraying as soon as new growth is seen. Frogs eye is a wet weather disease. If troublesome, spray every 7-10 days. Do not apply within 14 days of harvest.
Resistance Management: Apply a maximum of three Saprol sprays, preferably in a mixture with a protectant fungicide. Use non DMI fungicides at other times. Ensure full
coverage of foliage.
Tamarillos Powdery mildew 100 ml per 100L
(at least 2 litres/ha)
Apply at 14-21 day intervals throughout the season. Use the shorter interval if the disease is severe. Do not apply within 14 days of harvest.
Resistance Management: Apply a maximum of three Saprol sprays per crop preferably in mixture with protectant fungicide. Use non-DMI fungicides at other times. Ensure
full coverage of foliage.
Tomatoes Leaf mould
(Cladosporium)
150mL per 100L
(at least 1.5L/ha)
Apply as a preventative spray at 7-10 day intervals. Do not apply within 3 days of harvest.
