For Your Safety
Always keep this product dry. Do not use in rain or in damp conditions.
Please dry your hands before handling the equipment, as wet hand are
dangerous to both the equipment and to you.
This product contains high-voltage electronic parts. Touching the
high-voltage circuit inside it may result in electric shock. Do not
disassemble. Should repairs become necessary, this product must be
sent to an authorized maintenance center.
Stop using this product if it breaks open due to internal shifting, falling
or strong impact. STRONG electric shock may occur if you touch the
components inside.
Do not use the strobe unit in the presence of flammable gases,
chemicals and other similar materials. In certain circumstances, these
materials may be sensitive to the strong light emitting from this strobe
unit and fire may result.
Do not leave or store the strobe unit if the ambient temperature reads
over 122°F/50°C (e.g. in automobile in the sun). Otherwise the
electronic parts may be damaged.
Do not insert metal parts into any lighting equipment, except the
special umbrella channel. Please ensure that you have firmly tightened
the handle on the umbrella bracket before using it to support the unit
Do not touch the electrical contacts on the strobe or battery or contact
them with any conductive materials.
This strobe has an over-heat protection circuit, rapid continuous firing
will cause the strobe to slow operation and trigger a “cool down”
period. After this period, the strobe will resume normal operation. You
may also reboot the strobe by cycling the power off and then on.
In case of abnormal function, sparks, excessive heat, flames or smoke,
immediately power off the unit and disconnect the battery if possible.
Have it checked by an authorized technician.

Orlit Rovelight RT600AC/800AC Flash Modes
The RT600/800AC can operate in two modes to satisfy photographers’
different demands and preferences.
Switch ON: Long press on POWER button [11].
The LCD Orlit screen lights up and enters the operation interface.
Switch OFF: Long press POWER button [11].
The LCD screen turns off.
Power ON/OFF
1. Press the Function button [9] and switch to MENU1. You can scroll through
the 3 Menu screens with each press. While in Menu1, press the Function
button [12] to select wireless channel for Canon Cor Nikon N
2. Continuing in Menu1, Press the Function button [12] and select TTL mode.
3. Press Function button [12] to choose between Sync modes:
Normal mode
NOR
or high-speed sync (HSS) mode

4. Press Function button [9] and switch to MENU2 to set up Channel CH
and Groups GR.
The Group and Channel values must match those of the remote transmitter.
Carefully note the settings on the TR-611C/612N, 600RT, or Canon 600EX-
RT before setting.
The dedicated camera TTL symbol will light green when properly synched.
5. Press Function button [9] and switch to MENU3.
6. Press Function button [12] to switch the audio recycle tone on or off.
7. Short press Modeling Lamp button [15] to switch on or off modeling lamp.

proportion mode PRO and independent mode 1.0~9.0
M Mode

9. TTL EV can be modified on a 6 stop range, -3.0EV~+3.0EV.
The values can be set in 1/10 stop increments: turn the Power output knob
[14] directly to change the power in 1/10 stop, or for 1 stop increments: press
the Power output knob [14] and the display value becomes green,
representing full stops, and turn the knob to change the power.

9. Power output adjustment can be modified on a 9 stop range, from
1.0 ~ 9.0.
The values can be set in 1/10 stop increments: turn the Power output knob
[14] directly to change the power in 1/10 stop, or for 1 stop increments:
press the Power output knob [14] and the display value becomes green,
representing full stops, and turn the knob to change the power.

Special Orlit Rovelight RT600AC/800AC Features
Freeze mode can arrest action and movement from 1/800s to 1/19000s, far
more quickly than traditional flash duration. Choose the option in MENU1
with the corresponding Function button [12] to scroll through the choices for
FREEZE
FRE
short flash duration. Freeze mode can be used only in M mode,
maximum 1/19000s. Sync with shutter speed via PC Cord. (No FREEZE fea-
ture in TTL mode).
When C or Nis selected in wireless remote control on screen, the
RT600/800 is set to be triggered or controlled ONLY by a compatible ORLIT
TTL trigger or the Canon 600EX-RT.
When A6 is selected in wireless remote control on screen,
RT600/800AC is set to be triggered or controlled by a TR-A6 or TRS-V
offered by Flashpoint. In this mode, GR does not appear on the RT600/800.
Set TRS-V in the same channel on RT600/800.
When TRS is selected in wireless remote control on screen,
RT600/800AC is set to be triggered or controlled by TRS offered by
Flashpoint. In this mode, GR does not appear on RT600/800. Set TRS
in the same channel on RT600/800.
When the system overheats, the RT600/800 will automatically switch on the
overheat protection mode. The screen displays OH, which means the built-in
high temperature protection is activated. In the event of total overheating,
the system will stop working to prevent internal damage. When the tempera-
ture returns to an acceptable level, RT600/800 will start to work normally
again.
When a camera is set to shoot in one of the continuous drive modes, the
RT600/800 can only stay in sync while in Manual mode with the HSS sync
selected, and the power output range of is only able to be manually set from
1.0 to 3.0. Moreover, the RT600/800 does not display any indication of the
camera’s continuous drive mode on the LCD screen.

Firmware Upgrades
Maintenance
The ORLIT Rovelight RT600AC/800AC supports firmware upgrades through
the USB port. Update information will be released on the ORLIT official web-
site. www.adorama.com/g/orlit
Avoid sudden impacts. The product should be kept dust free.
It is normal for the flash tube to be warm when in use. Avoid continuous
flashes if unnecessary. Overheating the flashtube weakens its strength.
Shut down the device immediately should abnormal operation be
detected. If the product exhibits failures or was exposed to liquids,
cease its use until it is repaired by professionals.
Maintenance of the flash must be performed by our authorized service
department which can provide original accessories. This product, except con-
sumables, e.g. flash tube, is supported with a two-year warranty.
Unauthorized service will void the warranty.
Changes made to the specifications or designs may not be reflected in this
manual.

Two Year ORLIT Limited Warranty
Orlit warrants to the original purchaser that your Orlit product shall be free
from defects in material and workmanship for the period of two (2) years
from the date of purchase (or delivery as may be required in certain
jurisdictions), or thirty (30) days after replacement, whichever comes later.
Orlit’s entire liability and your exclusive remedy for any breach of warranty
shall be, at Orlit’s option, to repair or replace the hardware, provided that the
hardware is returned to the point of purchase or such other place as Orlit
may direct with a copy of the sales receipt or dated itemized receipt.
Orlit may, at its option, replace your product, offer to provide a
functionally equivalent product, or repair any product with new, refurbished
or used parts as long as such parts are in compliance with the product’s tech-
nical specifications. Any replacement hardware product will be
warranted for the remainder of the original warranty period or thirty (30)
days, whichever is longer, or for any additional period of time that may be
applicable in your jurisdiction. If the product has been discontinued, the war-
ranty provider reserves the right to replace it with a model of equivalent qual-
ity and function. This warranty does not cover problems or damage resulting
from accident, abuse, misapplication, or any unauthorized repair, modification
or disassembly, improper operation or maintenance, normal wear and tear, or
usage not in accordance with product instructions or connection to improper
voltage supply, use of consumables, such as replacement batteries, not sup-
plied by Orlit, except where such restriction is prohibited by applicable law.
Except where prohibited by applicable law, this warranty is nontransferable
and is limited to the original purchaser and the country in which the product
was purchased. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may
also have other rights, including a longer warranty duration that may vary
under local laws. To start a warranty claim contact the Orlit Customer Service
Department to obtain a return merchandise authorization (“RMA”) number,
and return the defective product to Orlit, along with the RMA
number and proof of purchase.
