HOW TO MEASURE YOUR BACK FOR YOUR PACK

ADJUSTABLE HARNESS (TORSO LENGTH)
M - 75L / 60L W - 65L / 50L
1 Identify the two adjustable hook-and-loop slots on the backpanel by the
silver upward pointing arrow.
2 Slide your hand between the ridged, foam backpanel and the shoulder strap
harness, pulling apart the hook-and-loop closure.
3 Slide the harness up or down along the LightWire rails to the appropriate
torso length.
4 For shorter torsos (Volt: 17-19”; Viva: 14-16”), pull the harness fully out
of the upper slot and insert it in the lower slot, indicated by the lower silver
arrow.
5 There are two load lift ladder lock options. Correspond the lower or upper
backpanel setting to the lower or upper load lift ladder lock.
FIT-ON-THE-FLY HIPBELT
M - 75L / 60L W - 65L / 50L
The-Fit-on-the-Fly hipbelt pad extends up to 6”/15 cm to accommodate different hip
sizes and provide a custom fit. To adjust the hipbelt:
1 Locate the adjustment icon on the hipbelt and slide a hand between the fixed
hipbelt and the adjustable pad to separate the hook-and-loop closure.
2 Slide the hipbelt insert pad into position so that it wraps around your hipbones.
3 Press firmly to re-engage the hook-and-loop closure.
4 Extend the pads the same distance on both hipbelt wings so the pack weight is
distributed evenly.

4 TIGHTEN HARNESS
+ Tighten the shoulder harness straps to tension by pulling them down and back.
5 TIGHTEN LOAD LIFTERS
+ Tighten the load lifters to tension by pulling them up and forward. This will pull
the pack close to the body to help stabilize the load.
6 ADJUST HARNESS HARNESS
+ The harness straps should wrap fully around the shoulders with no gaps between
the pack and back.
+ The padded part of the harness straps should end 1-2" / 2.5-5 cm
below the armpit. And the harness should have 1-2" / 2.5-5 cm of
webbing remaining.
TORSO LENGTH
+ Locate the harness yoke – this is where the harness straps come together near
the base of the user’s neck. Locate the C7 vertebra – the large protruding bone
at the base of the neck. The yoke should be 1-2” / 2.5-5 cm below
the C7 vertebra.
+ If the torso length is too short or tall, adjust the torso length of the pack.
(See Adjustable Harness instructions in this manual.)
7 STERNUM STRAP
Adjust the sternum strap to approximately 2"/5 cm below the collarbone,
buckle and tighten to tension.
1 POSITION THE PACK
+ Completely loosen the pack’s hipbelt, harness and load-lifter straps.
+ Load the pack with 10-20 lbs/4-9 kg of gear.
+ Put on the pack and make sure that the hipbelt is centred and rests over the
hipbone. The hipbelt padding should sit halfway above and below the hipbone.
2 BUCKLE HIPBELT
+ Buckle and evenly tighten the hipbelt using Osprey’s cross body ErgoPull.
+ The padding of the hipbelt should wrap around the hips with approximately
1-3" / 2.5-6cm of webbing between the buckle and the hipbelt when tightened
3 ADJUST HIPBELT
+ If the hipbelt is too large or small, adjust the sizing with the Fit-on-the-Fly
hipbelt adjustment. (See Fit-on-the-Fly instructions in this manual.)

RESERVOIR SLEEVE

The dedicated internal hydration sleeve keeps the reservoir close to the back,
which provides proper weight distribution when carrying the pack.
+ The loop with buckle ensures proper vertical orientation and stability
+ The backpanel hydration exit port is centered, allowing routing to the right or
left side of the harness
+ Elasticized routing straps on right or left side of the pack’s harness hold the
reservoir hose in place
+ Compatible with any reservoir up to 3L
RAINCOVER
M - 75L / 60L W - 65L / 50L
1 Locate the raincover icon near the base of the pack.
2 Remove raincover from compartment and slide it over the top and bottom of
the pack.
3 Tighten the cord lock at the bottom of the raincover to tension the raincover
into place.
4 To completely remove the raincover from the pack, unfasten the hook-and-
loop strap from the cord loop inside the raincover compartment.
Tip: To prevent mildew, remove raincover and allow to dry entirely after use in
the rain.
STOW-ON-THE-GO TREKKING POLE ATTACHMENT
M - 75L / 60L W - 65L / 50L
Osprey's Stow-on the-Go trekking pole attachment is designed to quickly stash
and carry trekking poles without taking off the pack.
1 Adjust the trekking poles to their minimum length. (optional)
2 Locate the elasticized loop on the lower left side of pack. While pulling the loop
out from the pack, insert the basket end of the trekking poles into the loop.
3 On the left harness strap, locate the trekking pole icon. Pull up on the cord to
open, place pole handles in the loop and tighten with the cord lock to secure.
4 Reverse these steps to remove.
ICE AXE LOOP
M - 75L / 60L W - 65L / 50L
1 Slide the ice ax shaft through the top of the ice tool loop and flip the shaft up
toward the top of the pack.
2 Loosen the bungee cord lock and route the tool handle through the bungee.
Tighten the cord lock, nesting it into the Y-clip to secure the tool into place.
3 Reverse above steps to remove.
