Which Oticon Opn hearing aid
styles are compatible with the
ZPower rechargeable solution?
The dedicated Zpower rechargeable solution is compatible with Oticon Opn
miniRITE devices.
Will fitting an Opn miniRITE
with a ZPower battery drawer
affect the fitting in Genie 2?
The ZPower battery drawer will not affect the fitting’s available features
in any way. The ZPower option works independently of Genie 2.
Is the open sound experience
available when the ZPower
battery drawer is mounted?
Yes. All Opn miniRITE features are available when using
the ZPower product.
Are there any changes to the
warranty of the Oticon Opn
hearing aids when they have
been modified with a ZPower
battery drawer?
When the Opn miniRITE has been modified with the ZPower battery
drawer, the warranty for the Opn miniRITE is unchanged. The Zpower
charger and battery drawers have their own accessory warranty.
Does the silver-zinc ZPower
rechargeable battery require
any special care or
maintenance?
The ZPower solution does not require any special care or handling beyond
what is ordinarily expected from hearing aid care. Commercial hearing aid
drying kits can also be used with the ZPower rechargeable solution.
Remind the patient to store the rechargeable batteries in a safe place
when not in the hearing device.
What happens if a disposable
zinc-air battery is placed in
the charger?
The charger is able to distinguish between ZPower batteries and
disposable zinc-air batteries. The LED light on the charger will light
red if hearing aids with zinc-air batteries are placed in the charger.
What is the lifetime of the
silver-zinc rechargeable
batteries?
The battery lifetime depends on the recharging cycle and how much the
batteries are drained between each cycle. The batteries are designed to
last more than a year, based on daily wear.
How many hours of use
can be expected when
