OWC Envoy Pro Assembly
Insert your SSD module into the interposer board connector - it is keyed so it will only
t one direction. The SSD module plugs straight into the connector and ts snugly.
Make absolutely certain that the SSD module is fully inserted before continuing! Use
the shorter Torx T5 screw to secure the SSD module into the enclosure.
Slide the top cover back onto the bottom, locking it in place.
Turn the OWC Envoy Pro over and use the two Torx T5 screws to secure the case
together. Apply the rubber foot to complete the assembly.
Your OWC Envoy Pro connects using the included USB cable. if your SSD module is
unformated, you will need to format it to be able to use it. Please visit this URL for

Your computer is a static-sensitive device. It is susceptible

We recommend proper grounding by using a grounding
strap. Make sure to work in a clean and static-free area,

The OWC Envoy Pro is compatible with both factory MacBook Pro Retina SSD modules
and OWC Aura Pro for MacBook Pro Retina SSD modules.
NOTE: This Envoy Pro is thermally congured for an original factory, Apple SSD. If you
wish to install an OWC Aura Pro SSD, please contact customer support.
The Envoy Pro arrives needing it’s cover removed to access the drive bay. Simply slide
the top towards the LED on the front of the enclosure to unlock it.
Removing the top cover will expose the interposer board inside of the OWC Envoy Pro.
* This Envoy Pro is thermally congured for an original factory, Apple SSD. If you wish to
install an OWC Aura Pro SSD, please contact customer support.
