Before using ContainerMaid for the first time:
1. Read the instructions carefully before installing and operating the appliance.
Make sure you or the person operating the ozone generator is in agreement with the
instructions of this user manual and the attached document:
Datasheet on Ozone
2. Place this manual within easy reach of the Appliance for reference purposes.
Should the Appliance be transferred to a new location or lent to a different user,
please ensure the continuing safe and correct use of the Appliance by placing this
user manual where it can be easily found by the next user.
3. This device should only be used for ozone treatment of air, and as described in
this manual.
4. ContainerMaid is an electrical device that produces ozone gas.
For security reasons, you are obliged to pay attention the User Manual warnings,
marked with symbols as described above. In addition, follow the local regulation and
state recommendations regulating safety, health and environment.
(see attached datasheet for ozone and information regarding Ozone sensor below)
2. General safety rules

User Manual ContainerMaid ver. 1.4 Page 4
General safety rules - Continued
Ozonation should preferably occur outdoors or in well ventilated areas. If there is a
danger that people or animals are residing in rooms while ozonizing, the ozone generator
shall be switched off or controlled/ managed by an ozone sensor.
An ozone sensor, to ensure safe ozone levels, is required if the appliance is used in
areas with inadequate ventilation and human traffic.
Ongoing ozonation should always be marked with warning signs clearly visible.
The appliance must not be used by persons (including children) with reduced physical,
sensory or mental abilities, or persons lacking experience or knowledge, without
supervision or instructions from a responsible person.
Be sure to ground the Appliance. Do not ground it to a gas pipe, water pipe, lightning rod
or phone cable. Imperfect grounding may cause electric shocks. (Grounding should only
be performed by a qualified electrician.)
3. CHECK THE PRODUCT:
1 pc ContainerMaid ozone generator comes with the following:
2 meters mounted grounded power cable with fixed plug
Complete wall brackets with 4 screws
1 pc Hydrophobic Membrane Filter
1 pc User Manual for ContainerMaid
1 pc Datasheet ozone
The appliance should not be used if the supply cable or isolation appears damaged.
Damaged equipment should be returned to the dealer or manufacturer.
WARNING
Risk of exposure to ozone gas O3.
Ignoring this warning and inhalation of highly concentrated ozone gas
can cause eye irritation and severe damage to the lungs.
RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK
Electrical appliances are not intended for children!
Store and use the appliance away from children.

4. INTENDED USE:
Powerful dust and splash resistant ozone generator (IP65) for odor removal in waste
bins, containers, garbage rooms, compactors, cold storage rooms, ships, trucks, cars etc.
IP65: ContainerMaid withstands splashes and humidity, but should never be immersed in
water. Ozonation is an effective way to reduce unwanted odor by chemical oxidation of
the odor source.
5. INSTALLATION, CONNECTION AND USAGE:
The appliance is attached to the wall with 4 screws and enclosed wall brackets.
There should be an air gap between the wall and ContainerMaid of minimum 8 mm for
cooling effect.
The appliance may be mounted with or without a Teflon
hose (PTFE hose). If mounted with a hose, we
recommend installing the appliance at a higher level
than the odor source to ensure that the ozone hose
(PTFE hose) leads the gas in a downward direction
towards the source.
The appliance should always be installed with the power
cable and ozone outlet pointing straight down.
Ozone gas is passed to the odor source through a 6 mm
PTFE (Teflon) hose connected to the outlet (stainless
fitting) of the underside of the appliance. The PTFE hose
is supplied separately in desired length. The PTFE hose is
fastened to the wall and led to the odor source.
PTFE tubing may be up to 50 feet / 15 m long.
Installation of 6mm teflon pipe
Installation on a waste compactor:
ContainerMaid is manufactured specifically for odor removal in compactors, but can also be used
for other purposes.
Normally the ContainerMaid is mounted directly on the outside of the compactor (alternatively
in the engine compartment). The 6mm Teflon tubing feeding the ozone gas should have its outlet
into the throw-in compartment (odor source).
It is important to choose the right size and model of the appliance providing an optimal ozone
concentration given the task to be solved.
In order to select the correct model, one must take into account the following:
Size of the compactor
Amount of trash
Closed or open compactor
Outdoor or indoor compactor
Ambient temperature
Ventilation
Type odor source
Intensity of smell

User Manual ContainerMaid ver. 1.4 Page 6
It is important to choose the correct strength generator, as ozone gas is oxidizing, and overexposure
of the compactor may result in damaged rubber, hydraulic hoses, electric cables etc.
If the compactor is empty over some time with ozonation, this may be especially important to take
into consideration.
Timer:
With safety and best results in mind; let ozone concentration reflect odor concentration.
It is often recommended to run the appliance at intervals via a timer.
ContainerMaid is available with a built-in Timer (see separate manual enclosed).
WARNING:
Ensure that the power to the device is disconnected before opening the front cover of the chassis for
setting of the built-in timer.
Alternatively, use an external timer connected to the power supply.
The chassis is IP 65, i.e. dustproof and splash proof, but not waterproof.
The appliance produces corona discharge and must not be installed in environments where there
may be explosive gas mixtures.
ATTENTION! Ozone Sensor:
If ozone is supplied in a closed room where people or animals reside, an ozone sensor should be
installed. The ozone sensor will shut off the power to the appliance if the ozone level in the room
exceeds the limit for allowed concentration.
In Europe 0.1 PPM is the stated occupational exposure limit (upper limit) of the Labour Inspection for
ozone. (How long people can stay continuously, up to 8 hours, without danger). Contact the
manufacturer for guidance concerning ozone sensors.
Hydrophobic Membrane Filter:
Make sure the filter is mounted on underside of the appliance, in the middle plastic implementation.
Plastic nut should be loosened and filter pushed into place, about 1.5 cm inward, and nut tightened
carefully.
Change of Hydrofobic Membran Filter

Operations:
ON/OFF power switch with green lamp.
ON (indicating normal operation):
oGreen operating lamp illuminated and a faint buzzing sound emits when
ozonation is in process.
oRed indicator lamp (above) illuminated indicating high voltage.
6. Maintenance:
Service should only be performed by authorized personnel
Contact dealer or manufacturer if maintenance is required.
