Please read these instructions carefully before using this product, and save this manual for future use. Update the on-screen manuals.
In these instructions, the names and terms are referred as follows.

“Windows 10 Pro 64-bit” as “Windows” or “Windows 10”
This manual explains operation procedures using the touchpad or mouse as typical examples. In addition, you can touch the display screen to operate the
computer.
When using the touch operation, please replace the terms as described below, and read the instructions.

Explanation of symbol word panels
The following symbol word panels are used to classify and describe the level of
hazard, injury, and property damage caused when the denotation is disregard-
ed and improper use is performed.

Denotes a potential hazard that will result in serious injury or death.
WARNING
Denotes a potential hazard that could result in serious injury or death.
CAUTION
Denotes a hazard that could result in minor injury.
NOTICE
Denotes a hazard that could result in property damage.
The following symbols are used to classify and describe the type of instructions
to be observed.
This symbol is used to alert users to a specific operating proce-
dure that must not be performed.

Precautions on the Battery Pack
Electrolyte leakage, generation of heat, ignition or rupture of the Battery

Do not damage or modify the cord, place it near hot tools,
bend, twist, or pull it forcefully, place heavy objects on it,
or bundle it tightly
ÖDo not continue to use a damaged AC cord, AC plug and AC
adaptor.
• Contact your technical support office for repair.
nDo Not Connect the AC Adaptor to a Power Source Other
Than a Standard Household AC Outlet
ÖConnecting to a DC/AC converter (inverter) may damage the
AC adaptor. On an airplane, only connect the AC adaptor/
charger to an AC outlet specifically approved for such use.
nDo Not Pull or Insert the AC Plug If Your Hands Are Wet
nDo Not Disassemble This Product
• No user serviceable parts inside this unit. Refer servicing to
qualified technician.

WARNING

nDo Not Touch This Product In a Thunderstorm If Con-
nected with the AC Cable or Any Other Cables
nDo Not Place Containers of Liquid or Metal Objects on
Top of This Product
ÖIf foreign matter has found its way inside, immediately turn
the power off and unplug the AC plug (and remove the bat-
tery pack). Then contact your technical support office.
nIf a Malfunction or Trouble Occurs, Immediately Stop Use
If the Following Malfunction Occurs, Immediately Unplug
the AC Plug and the Battery Pack
• This product is damaged
• Foreign object inside this product
• Smoke emitted
• Unusual smell emitted
• Unusually hot
ÖAfter the above procedure, contact your technical support
office for repair.
nClean Dust and Other Debris of the AC Plug Regularly
• If dust or other debris accumulates on the plug, humidity, etc.
may cause a defect in the insulation.
nInsert the AC Plug Completely
ÖDo not use a damaged plug or loose AC outlet.
nClose the Connector Cover Tightly When Using This Prod-
uct Where Is a Lot of Water, Moisture, Steam, Dust, Oily
Vapors, etc.
ÖIf foreign matter has found its way inside, immediately turn
the power off and unplug the AC cord, and then remove the
battery pack. Then contact your technical support office.
nTurn the Power off Beforehand when Entering Locations,
Such as a Gas Station Where Inflammable Gases Are
Generated
• Such gases may be ignited.
Burns or low-temperature burns may result.
nDo Not Use This Product in Close Contact With Your Body
For a Long Period of Time
ÖDo not use this product with its heat-emitting parts in close
contact with your body for a long period of time.
• Low-temperature burns may result.
nDo Not Touch the Surface of the AC Adaptor Continuously
While Using/Charging
• Burns may result.
nDo Not Place the Product in a Bag or Case While It is
Turned On
• Doing so may cause the product to overheat and result in
burns.
Detrimental health effects on your body may result.
nDo Not Turn the Volume Up Too Loud When Using Head-
phones
• Listening at high volumes that overstimulate the ear for long
periods of time may result in loss of hearing.

nDo Not Leave a nanoSIM Card Within Reach of Infants
• In case of swallowing, consult a doctor immediately.
Radio waves transmitted from this product may affect the surrounding
area.
nDo Not Use This Product near Automatic Control Devices,
Such As Automatic Doors And Fire Alarms
• Automatic control devices may malfunction, resulting in ac-
cidents.
nTurn the Power Off on an Airplane *1
ÖFor use on a plane, follow the airline’s instructions.
• The safety of navigation may be compromised.
nTurn the Power Off in Hospitals or at Locations Where
Medical Equipment is Present *1
ÖDo not bring this product into operating rooms, intensive care
units, CCU, etc. *2
• Medical electrical equipment may be affected, and malfunction
may occur, resulting in accidents.
nTurn the Power Off in Crowded Locations, Such As a
Crowded Train, Where There May Be a Person with a Car-
diac Pacemaker
• The operation of a pacemaker may be affected.
nKeep This Product at Least 15 cm Away from the Position
of an Implantable Pacemaker
• The operation of a pacemaker may be affected.

pability off. However, bear in mind that use of a computer may be prohibited during takeoff

nDo Not Move This Product While the AC Plug Is Connect-
ed
ÖIf the AC cord is damaged, unplug the AC plug immediately.
nDo Not Connect a Telephone Line, or a Network Cable
Other Than the One Specified, Into the LAN Port
ÖDo not connect to a network such as the ones listed below.
• Networks other than 1000BASE-T, 100BASE-TX or 10BASE-T
• Phone lines (IP phone (Internet Protocol Telephone), Tele-
phone lines, internal phone lines (on-premise switches), digital
public phones, etc.)
nDo Not Subject the AC Adaptor To Any Strong Impact
ÖDo not continue to use the AC adaptor after a strong impact
such as being dropped.
ÖContact your technical support office for repair.
nDo Not Leave This Product in High Temperature Environ-
ment for a Long Period of Time
• Leaving this product where it will be exposed to extremely
high temperatures such as near fire or in direct sunlight may
deform the cabinet and/or cause trouble in the internal parts.
nHold the Plug When Unplugging the AC Plug
nUse Only the Specified AC Adaptor With This Product
ÖDo not use an AC adaptor other than the one supplied (sup-
plied with the unit or one sold separately as an accessory).
This product may fall over or drop, resulting in an injury.
nDo Not Place This Product on Unstable Surfaces
nAvoid Stacking
nWhen Carrying the Computer, Attach the Tablet To the
Keyboard Base Tightly Until Orange-colored Signs Under
the Detach Lock And Release Lever Are Concealed
Detrimental health effects on your body may result.
nTake a Break Of 10-15 Minutes Every Hour
• Using this product for long periods of time may have detrimen-
tal health effects on the eyes or hands.
Burns, low-temperature burns, or frostbite may result.
nDo Not Expose the Skin To This Product When Using the
Product In A Hot Or Cold Environment
ÖWhen it is necessary to expose the skin to this product such
as to scan a fingerprint, perform the operation in the shortest
time possible.

lDo not place the computer near a television or radio receiver.
lKeep the computer away from magnets. Data stored on the flash memory
may be lost.
lThis computer is not intended for the display of images for use in medical
diagnosis.
lThis computer is not intended for a use with connection of medical equip-
ment for the purpose of medical diagnosis.
lPanasonic shall not be liable for loss of data or other incidental or conse-
quential damages resulting from the use of this product.
lDo not touch the terminals on the battery pack. The battery pack may no
longer function properly if the contacts are dirty or damaged.
lDo not expose the battery pack to water, or allow it to become wet.
lIf the battery pack will not be used for a long period of time (a month or
more), charge or discharge (use) the battery pack until the remaining bat-
tery level becomes 30% to 40% and store it in a cool, dry place.
lThis computer prevents overcharging of the battery by recharging only
when the remaining power is less than approx. 95% of capacity.
lThe battery pack is not charged when the computer is first purchased. Be
sure to charge it before using it for the first time. When the AC adaptor is
connected to the computer, charging begins automatically.
lShould the battery leak and the fluid get into your eyes, do not rub your
eyes. Immediately flush your eyes with clear water and see a doctor for
medical treatment as soon as possible.
NOTE
lThe battery pack may become warm during recharging or normal use. This
is completely normal.
lRecharging will not commence if internal temperature of the battery pack is
outside of the allowable temperature range (0 °C to 50 °C).
(Operating Instructions - Reference Manual “Basic Operation” “Bat-
tery Power”) Once the allowable range requirement is satisfied, charging
begins automatically. Note that the recharging time varies based on the us-
age conditions. (Recharging takes longer than usual when the temperature
is 10 °C or below.)
lIf the temperature is low, the operating time is shortened. Only use the com-
puter within the allowable temperature range.
lThe battery pack is a consumable item. If the amount of time the computer
can be run by using a particular battery pack becomes dramatically shorter
and repeated recharging does not restore its performance, the battery pack
should be replaced with a new one.
lWhen transporting a spare battery inside a package, briefcase, etc., it is
recommended that it be placed in a plastic bag so that its contacts are
protected.
lAlways power off the computer when it is not in use. Leaving the computer
on when the AC adaptor is not connected will exhaust the remaining battery
capacity.
l<Only for model with Built-in Bridge Battery>
To minimize deterioration of the built-in bridge battery, connect the computer
to the AC adaptor and recharge it for approximately 2 hours about once
every year.

This product, like other radio devices, emits radio frequency electromagnetic energy. The level of energy emitted by this product however is far much less than the
electromagnetic energy emitted by wireless devices like for example mobile phones.

For your safety, please read the following text carefully.
This appliance is supplied with a molded three pin mains plug for your safety and convenience. A 3 ampere fuse is fitted in this plug.
Should the fuse need to be replaced please ensure that the replacement fuse has a rating of 3 ampere and that it is approved by ASTA or BSI to BS1362.
Check for the ASTA mark A S A or the BSI mark on the body of the fuse.
If the plug contains a removable fuse cover you must ensure that it is refitted when the fuse is replaced.
If you lose the fuse cover the plug must not be used until a replacement cover is obtained. A replacement fuse cover can be purchased from your local dealer.
If the fitted molded plug is unsuitable for the socket outlet in your home then the fuse should be removed and the plug cut off and disposed of safely.
There is a danger of severe electrical shock if the cut off plug is inserted into any 13-ampere socket.
How to replace the fuse
The location of the fuse differs according to the type of AC mains plug (figures A and B).
Confirm the AC mains plug fitted and follow the instructions below. Illustrations may differ from actual AC mains plug.
Open the fuse cover with a screwdriver and replace the fuse and close or attach the fuse cover.
