About storage management and handling
This describes the precautions in the storage of adhesive tape feeders.
1 Storage Precautions
Use a feeder stand for storage.
If you pell-mell place adhesive tape feeders, the parts may potentially be broken or deformed.
No pell-mell placing Store them on the feeder stand.
Avoid storing them in a high-temperature (40 degrees or over) and
high-humidity place.
The formation of rust can cause such a trouble as faulty sliding.
NOTICE
In handling adhesive tape feeders, be sure to observe the following matters.
The matters are the same as those for intelligent tape feeders.

Avoid storing them in a magnetized place.
If the area around the pickup section becomes magnetized, some chips will be susceptible to
damage.
Avoid storing them in the place where oil or an organic solvent is
splashed.
Otherwise, rubber and resin parts may potentially be deteriorated and broken.
Avoid bumping or dropping them.
Even if there is no damage on the surface, actions can be affected. Be careful in handling
especially the sliding section.
Avoid demagnetizing
Because they have built-in electromagnetic valves and CPUs, be careful in handling.

2 Handling Precautions
A) Handling of adhesive tape feeders
In handling the adhesive tape feeder, use both hands.
If you handle it with one hand, you may potentially drop it and be injured.
In setting the adhesive tape feeder onto the collectively changing truck,
use both hands.
If you handle it with one hand, you may potentially bump its tip against the collectively changing
truck and damage it; consequently, actions can be affected.

IATF-024P

B) Handling of screws and covers
NOTICE
Some screws and covers mounted on the adhesive tape feeder are important for
insuring accuracy. Be careful enough in handling.
A These are eccentric pins for adjusting the pickup position and are adjusted to the
optimum position in advance; therefore, never loosen them.
Once you have loosened them, we cannot assure actions and accuracy.
B Because these are the guide plate fixing bolts, the physical relationship is important;
therefore, never loosen them.
Once you have loosened them, the mountability onto the machine becomes unstable
and the feeder may potentially get broken.
C Because there are important parts inside of the feeder main cover (on one side),
never open it.
Once you have opened it, we cannot assure actions and accuracy.
