SPECIFICATIONS
The MIDI system control interface input
shall be a standard 5-pin DIN style jack.
The unit shall have LED indicators to
show Power and preset status. The unit
shall have eight front panel buttons.
The unit shall be packaged in a rugged
metal chassis 19″wide by 1.75″high by
9.625″deep. The unit shall mount in a
standard19″rackrequiring1.75″ofheight.
The unit shall operate from 120 V AC,
60 Hz, domestic; 230 V AC 50/60 Hz,
export. The unit shall be capable of two
operating modes. The unit shall have
EEPROM nonvolatile memory for: MIDI
channel, mode, active buttons and last
preset recalled. The unit shall have
connections for external switches as well
asconnectionsforexternalLEDindicators.
The unit shall be called the Peavey
Architectural Acoustics Division
model SC™-8a.

DESCRIPTION
TheSC™-8aisaneightbuttonMIDISystem

recall different system configurations

the CEX™4La and CEQ™equalizers.
TheSC-8ahastwomodesofoperation.
The eight buttons in the first mode each
recall a different configuration. In the
second mode, each button can control a
separate piece of equipment, or system
segment, and toggle it between two
presets.
The SC-8a has screw terminal
connections for remote switches and
indicators, and a MIDI input for merging
other MIDI data.

Peavey Electronics Corporation warrants to the original purchaser of this new Architectural Acoustics product that it is free from
defectsinmaterial and workmanship. Ifwithinone (1) year from dateofpurchase a properly installed productprovesto be defectiveand
Peaveyisnotified,Peaveywillrepairorreplaceitatnocharge.(Note:Batteriesandpatchcordsnotcovered.)“Originalpurchaser”means
the customer for whom the product is originally installed.
Damage resulting from improper installation, interconnection of a unit or system of another manufacturer, accident or unreasonable
use, neglect or any other cause not arising from defects in material and workmanship is not covered by this warranty. The warranty is
valid only as to products purchased and installed in the United States and Canada.
THIS LIMITED WARRANTY IS IN LIEU OF ANY AND ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED
WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR USE. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL PEAVEY BE
LIABLEFORANYLOSTPROFITS,LOSTSAVINGS,INCIDENTALDAMAGESORCONSEQUENTIALDAMAGESARISINGOUTOFTHEUSE
OR INABILITY TO USE THE PRODUCT, EVEN IF PEAVEY HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGE. THIS LIMITED
WARRANTY IS THE ONLY EXPRESSED WARRANTY ON THIS PRODUCT, AND NO OTHER STATEMENT, REPRESENTATION, WAR-
RANTY, OR AGREEMENT BY ANY PERSON SHALL BE VALID OR BINDING UPON PEAVEY.
Peavey’s liability to the original purchaser for damages for any cause whatsoever and regardless of the form of action is limited to
the actual damages up to the greater of Five Hundred Dollars ($500) or an amount equal to the purchase price of the product that caused
thedamageorthatisthesubjectoforisdirectlyrelatedtothecauseofaction.Thislimitationofliabilitywillnotapplytoclaimsforpersonal
injury or damage to real property or tangible personal property allegedly caused by Peavey’s negligence. For information on service
