other than that indicated in the instructions for use, but which may derive from easily
predictable human behavior.
RESIDUAL RISKS Risks that remain despite the integrated protection measures adopted
in the design of the equipment and in spite of the protections and complementary
protection measures adopted.
7. Pictograms
Generality
The pictograms must be applied in areas where they are easily visible and readable
by anyone approaching and at a point where the person can react promptly to take the
necessary actions to avoid the danger.
When possible, they must be applied in areas protected from the risk of damage,
abrasion, chemical aggression, dust or anything else that alters the visibility and reading.
The temperature range of use goes from +5° C to + 40° C provided there is no uneven
distribution of temperatures that negatively affects the thermal expansion of the material.
The surfaces on which the pictograms are applied must be clean, smooth and free from
grease, oils or chemicals that reduce their adhesion.
The standard provides that the safety pictograms are regularly checked and cleaned

1.7 Information on technical assistance
The equipment is covered by warranty, as provided for in the general conditions of sale. If
during the period of validity malfunctions or faults in parts of the equipment occur, which
fall within the cases indicated by the warranty, the Manufacturer, after the appropriate
checks on the equipment, will repair or replace the defective parts.
It is recalled that modications made by the user, without the express written authorization
of the manufacturer, will void the warranty and relieve the manufacturer from any liability
for damage caused by a defective product.
This applies in particular when the aforesaid modications are performed on the safety
devices, degrading their effectiveness. The same considerations apply when using non-
original spare parts or parts other than those explicitly indicated by the manufacturer as
“safety devices”.
We therefore recommend that our customers contact our Service Department before
carrying out the aforementioned work on the equipment.
Any faults evidently and visibly present at the time of delivery of the product (aesthetic
defects on visible parts, breakages, dents, malfunctions, missing parts, etc.) must be
immediately reported to the company.
The Manufacturer is not liable for defects not reported by the customer at
the time of delivery.

2. Safety
2.1 General safety warnings
Before operating the equipment, carefully read the instructions contained in
this manual and carefully follow the instructions contained therein.
The manufacturer has made every effort to design this equipment to make it as safe as
possible.
With this assumption, the equipment has been equipped with all the protections and
safety devices deemed necessary and equipped with sufcient information to be used
safely and correctly.
To this end, for each human-equipment interaction, when necessary, the following
information has been indicated:
• Minimum qualication of the requested operator.
• Number of operators required.
• State of the equipment.
• Residual risks.
• Personal protection means necessary or recommended.
• Prevention of human errors.
• Bans / obligations related to reasonably foreseeable misconduct.
It is however essential to diligently follow the following indications:
• Avoid using clothes with hooks that can remain attached to parts of the equipment.
• Avoid using ties or other uttering clothing.
• Avoid wearing bulky rings or bracelets that may catch hands on the equipment’s organs.
The following are the prevention measures “designed to improve safety systems for
operating conditions and above all for the risk of accidental loss of stability (overturning)”:
• control and regulation of the maximum speed or of the braking force in relation to the
various lifting heights in travel and out of stroke;
• device limiting the maximum translation speed with a contrasted guide (trajectory
controlled by the side wheels placed at the base of the trolley that go against the metal
guides placed at the base of the shelves);
• device limiting the maximum translation speed with inductive guidance (trajectory
controlled by a sensor placed under the carriage that detects the magnetic eld
generated in a conductor buried in the oor);
• automatic end-of-travel braking and / or increased emergency braking with inductive
guidance;
• performance limiting device and / or impediment to running if the passive systems are
not in the correct position;
• lifting blocking devices at certain levels of the upright;
• chains loosening control sensors;
• any contact sensor placed on the roof of the cab against downward bumps;

ORDER PICKER OP20
20
• performance limiting device according to the steering angle “.
Furthermore, when necessary, in the Manual further recommendations by the user will
be specied on the preventive measures, on the personal means of protection, on the
information suitable to prevent human errors and on the prohibitions relating to behaviors
that are not permitted but reasonably foreseeable.
In any case, the user can suitably integrate the information provided by the manufacturer
with additional work instructions to contribute to the safe use of the equipment, obviously
not in contrast with what is reported in this Instruction Manual.
The manufacturer is relieved of all responsibility for damage caused by the equipment
to persons, animals or property in the event of:use of equipment by inadequately trained
personnel;
• improper use of the equipment;
• deciencies in planned maintenance;
• unauthorized changes or interventions;
• use of non-original or non-specic parts for the model;
• total or partial failure to comply with the instructions;
• use contrary to specic national regulations;
• calamity and exceptional events;
General requirements
The instruction manual must always be available to the operator at the workplace. The
user must promptly inform the employer or his direct superior on any defects or anomalies
presented by the device.
Inspections and checks
The checks must be carried out by an expert; they must be of a visual and functional nature,
with the aim of guaranteeing the safety of the equipment.
They include:
• verication of all load-bearing structures, which must not show any cracks, breakage,
damage, deformation, corrosion, wear or alteration with respect to the original characteristics;
• verication of all the safety devices installed on the equipment;
• verication of all connections with pins and screws;
• verication of the tensioning of the lifting chains
• check the state of charge and storage of the battery
• check wheel wear status
• verication of the systems for closing the access door on the platform
• verication of the functioning of all the safety devices present.
The results of this verication must be reported on a specic sheet.
In the event that the technician responsible for carrying out the verication nds cracks or
dangerous anomalies he must:
• put the equipment out of service and make the necessary checks and / or repairs.
