1. Introduction

Do not use or install a visibly damaged

All modifications of the device are forbidden
for safety reasons. Damage caused by user
modifications to the device is not covered
by the warranty.
3. General Guidelines
Refer to the Velleman®Service and Quality
Warranty on the last pages of this manual.
Only use the device for its intended
purpose. Using the device in an
unauthorised way will void the warranty.
Damage caused by disregard of certain
guidelines in this manual is not covered by
the warranty and the dealer will not accept
responsibility for any ensuing defects or
problems.
4. Installation and Connection
Installation Guidelines
Avoid pointing the detector towards objects
with highly reflective surfaces such as
mirrors.
Avoid pointing the detector near heat
sources such as heating vents, air
conditioning units, etc.

Avoid pointing the detector towards objects
that may move in the wind such as
curtains, plants, etc.
Install the detector at a distance of
minimum 60 cm when using a lamp of 60 W
or more.
Do not install the detector directly below a
light source.
Installation
Install this detector flat on a wall or in a
corner. Use an appropriate screwdriver and
the included screws and nylon plugs.
1. Open the device by turning the upper
cover.
2. Connect the detector (see below) and
fix the bottom.
3. Re-install the upper cover to close the
detector.
Connection Guidelines
Risk of electroshock! Touching live wires
can cause life-threatening electroshocks.
Have the device installed by qualified
personnel.
Disconnect the power source.
Cover and shield any adjacent live
components.
Ensure the device cannot be switched on.
Make sure the power supply is
disconnected.
See illustration on page 3.

5. Operation
Testing the Detector
1. Test the detector at the point of time
you feel the lamp needs to be switched
on.
2. Turn the TIME knob fully anticlockwise
(dusk to dawn). Turn the LUX knob
fully clockwise to the maximum value.
3. Switch on the power. The detector needs
a warm-up time of ± 30 seconds before
it will switch on the connected lamp.
4. Turn the LUX knob fully anti-clockwise.
The lamp should switch off.
Setting the Detector
1. Turn the LUX knob until the lamp
switches on.
2. Now, set the switch-off delay with the
TIME knob going from 1 hour to all
night.
3. Close the detector with the cover and
tighten the screw.

This appliance does not need any particular
maintenance. However, occasionally wipe it
with a damp cloth to keep it looking new.
Do not use harsh chemicals, cleaning
solvents or strong detergents.

1. Inleiding

betreffende dit product
Dit symbool op het toestel of de verpakking
geeft aan dat, als het na zijn levenscyclus
wordt weggeworpen, dit toestel schade kan
toebrengen aan het milieu. Gooi dit toestel
(en eventuele batterijen) niet bij het
gewone huishoudelijke afval; het moet bij
een gespecialiseerd bedrijf terechtkomen
voor recyclage. U moet dit toestel naar uw
verdeler of naar een lokaal recyclagepunt

Kinderen mogen niet met het toestel
spelen. De reiniging en het onderhoud van
het toestel mogen niet worden uitgevoerd
door kinderen, tenzij ze onder toezicht
staan.
Gebruik nooit een beschadigd toestel.
Om veiligheidsredenen mag u geen
wijzigingen aanbrengen. Schade door
wijzigingen die de gebruiker heeft
aangebracht aan het toestel valt niet onder
de garantie.
3. Algemene richtlijnen
Raadpleeg de Velleman® service- en
kwaliteitsgarantie achteraan deze
handleiding.
Gebruik het toestel enkel waarvoor het
gemaakt is. De garantie vervalt
automatisch bij ongeoorloofd gebruik.
De garantie geldt niet voor schade door het
negeren van bepaalde richtlijnen in deze
handleiding en uw dealer zal de
verantwoordelijkheid afwijzen voor defecten
of problemen die hier rechtstreeks verband
mee houden.

4. Installatie en aansluiting
Installatie-instructies
Richt de detector niet op voorwerpen met
sterk reflecterende oppervlakken (bv.
spiegel).
Richt de detector niet op warmtebronnen
(bv. ventilatieopeningen, airconditioning,
enz.).
Richt de detector niet op voorwerpen die in
de wind bewegen (bv. gordijnen, planten,
enz.).
Installeer de detector op een
minimumafstand van 60 cm wanneer u een
lamp gebruikt van 60 W of hoger.
Installeer de detector niet rechtstreeks
onder een lichtbron.
Installatie
Monteer deze detector op een vlakke muur
of in een hoek. Gebruik een geschikte
schroevendraaier en de meegeleverde
schroeven en nylon pluggen.
1. Draai aan het bovendeksel om het
toestel te openen.
2. Sluit de detector aan (zie onder) en
bevestig de onderkant.
3. Plaats het bovendeksel terug om de
detector te sluiten.
Aansluiting
Elektrocutiegevaar! Raak geen kabels aan
die onder stroom staan om dodelijke
elektrische schokken te vermijden.
Laat de detector installeren door een
vakman.
Ontkoppel het toestel van het lichtnet.

Zorg voor afscherming van nabijgelegen,
onder spanning staande onderdelen.
Zorg ervoor dat het toestel niet kan
worden ingeschakeld.
Trek de stekker uit het stopcontact.
Zie afbeelding op pagina 3.

5. Gebruik
De detector testen
1. Test detector op het gewenste tijdstip.
2. Draai de TIME knop geheel naar links
(dusk to dawn). Draai de LUX knop
geheel naar rechts tot de
maximuminstelling.
3. Schakel het toestel in. Het duurt
± 30 seconden voordat de
bewegingsdetector de aangesloten
lamp inschakelt.
4. Draai de LUX knop geheel naar links.
De lamp schakelt uit.
De detector instellen
1. Draai aan de LUX knop tot de lamp
brandt.
2. Stel de uitschakelvertraging in met de
TIME knop (van 1 uur tot volledige
nacht)
3. Sluit de detector met de klep en draai
de schroef vast.

6. Reiniging en onderhoud
Dit toestel vereist geen bijzonder
onderhoud. Reinig het toestel af en toe met
een vochtige doek. Gebruik geen bijtende
chemische producten, reinigingsmiddelen of
sterke detergenten.

Ne pas utiliser l'appareil s'il est
endommagé.
Toute modification est interdite pour des
raisons de sécurité. Les dommages
occasionnés par des modifications par le
client ne tombent pas sous la garantie.

4. Installation et connexion
Directives d'installation
Ne pas pointer le détecteur sur une surface
réfléchissante (p. ex. un miroir).
Ne pas pointer le détecteur sur des sources
de chaleur (p. ex. fentes de ventilation,
climatiseurs, etc.).
Ne pas pointer le détecteur sur des objets
qui bougent sous l'effet du vent (p. ex.
rideaux, plantes, etc.).
Installer le détecteur à une distance
minimale de 60 cm lorsque en utilisant une
lampe de 60 W ou plus.
Ne pas installer le détecteur directement en
dessous d'une source lumineuse.
Installation
Monter ce détecteur sur un mur ou dans un
coin. Utiliser un tournevis approprié, les vis
et chevilles en nylon fournies.
1. Ouvrir l'appareil en tournant le
couvercle supérieur.
2. Connecter le détecteur (voir ci-
dessous) et fixer la partie inférieure.
3. Remettre le couvercle supérieur pour
fermer le détecteur.
Connexion
Risque d'électrocution ! Toucher un câble
sous tension peut causer des électrochocs
mortels.
Confier l'installation à un technicien
qualifié.
Débrancher l'appareil du réseau
électrique.

Couvrir ou protéger tout composant sous
tension adjacent.
S'assurer que l'appareil ne peut pas être
allumé.
Débrancher l'alimentation de l'appareil.

5. Emploi
Tester le détecteur
1. Tester le détecteur au moment
souhaité.
2. Tourner le bouton TIME à fond dans le
sens inverse des aiguilles d'une montre
(dusk to dawn). Tourner le bouton LUX
à fond dans le sens horaire jusqu'à la
position maximale.
3. Allumer l'appareil. Le détecteur a
besoin de ± 30 secondes pour allumer
la lampe connectée.
4. Tourner le bouton LUX à fond dans le
sens inverse des aiguilles d'une
montre. La lampe s'éteint.
Configurer le détecteur
1. Tourner le bouton LUX jusqu'à ce que
la lampe s'allume.
2. Régler la temporisation d'extinction (de
1 heure à 1 nuit) avec le bouton TIME.
3. Fermer le détecteur avec le couvercle
et serrer la vis.

6. Nettoyage et entretien
Cet appareil ne nécessite aucun entretien
particulier. Nettoyer occasionnellement avec
un chiffon humide pour conserver son
aspect neuf. Ne pas utiliser d'agents
chimiques agressifs, de solvants ni de
détergents puissants.
