A) IMPORTANT SAFETY WARNINGS
1) Do not modify the Rooftop Cargo Bag and do not use this product for purposes that it was
not designed for.
2) Never exceed the maximum load capacity of 1 Lbs. This product is designed to pack and
travel with light duty cargo and soft goods weighing no more than 1 Lbs. Distribute weight
evenly inside the Rooftop Cargo Bag.
3) Be aware of the danger of “dynamic loading”. This situation arises when a load is dropped
onto or thrown into the Rooftop Cargo Bag, resulting in a short term excessive load. Dynamic
loading can result in damage and failure of the Rooftop Cargo Bag, damage to the vehicle
and personal injury to the person loading the Rooftop Cargo Bag.
4) Never load people or animals into the Rooftop Cargo Bag. Keep children and spectators away
when loading, unloading and using this product.
5) Adhere to all Department of Transportation (D.O.T.) requirements when using this
product. Always use all of the adjustable straps included to securely hold the cargo in
place.
6) For the vehicle that will support the Rooftop Cargo Bag, read all pertinent vehicle
instructions and warnings provided in the owner’s manual. Make sure that the vehicle
has the appropriate roof rack cross bars needed to securely and safely mount the
Rooftop Cargo Bag. Make sure the vehicle’s engine is OFF, with parking brake set,
before setting up, loading or unloading the Rooftop Cargo Bag. Make sure the vehicle
is in a safe location, away from traffic, when loading or unloading.
7) This product will require set-up on top of the vehicle. An assistant may be required to assist in
the set-up. Depending on the size of the vehicle, use of a stool or ladder may be required. Use
extreme caution when using a stool or ladder to prevent accidents. If you are not experienced
or capable of doing this type of setup, the Rooftop Cargo Bag should be set-up by a qualified
service technician.
8) Make sure the vehicle’s engine is OFF, with parking brake set, before loading or unloading the
Rooftop Cargo Bag. Never attempt to carry a load that is wider that the vehicle.
9) Obey all speed limits and traffic laws. Adhere to all state and local regulations regarding roof
mounted loads that extend beyond the configuration of the vehicle.
1 ) Make sure that hardware and straps are secure prior to each trip.
11) Use caution when driving near low clearance parking structures, tree branches and any other
obstruction which could interfere with the Rooftop Cargo Bag and its contents.
12) Do not attempt to mount the Rooftop Cargo Bag on RV’s (Recreational Vehicles), trailers or
towed vehicles. Do not use the Rooftop Cargo Bag on off-road vehicles.
