Vor dem Benutzen
Die Gebrauchsanweisung aufmerksam lesen. Sie enthält wichtige
Hinweise für den Gebrauch, die Sicherheit und die Wartung des
Gerätes.
Sie soll sorgfältig aufbewahrt und gegebenenfalls an Nachbenutzer
weitergegeben werden.
Das Gerät darf nur für den vorgesehenen Zweck, gemäß dieser
Gebrauchsanweisung, verwendet werden.
Beim Gebrauch die Sicherheitshinweise beachten.
Sicherheitshinweise
·Das Gerät nur an Wechselstrom 230 V anschließen.
·Das Gerät nicht in der Nähe von Badewannen,
Duschen, Waschbecken oder sonstigen Gefäßen,
die Wasser enthalten, benutzen bzw. ablegen.
·Einen zusätzlichen Schutz bietet der Einbau einer
Fehlerstrom-Schutzeinrichtung (RCD) mit einem
Bemessungsauslösestrom von nicht mehr als 30 mA im Badezimmer-
stromkreis. Lassen Sie sich von Ihrem Elektroinstallateur beraten.
·Der Netzstecker ist zu ziehen:
- nach jedem Gebrauch
- bei längeren Unterbrechungen
- bei Störungen während des Betriebes
- vor jeder Reinigung.
·Den Netzstecker nicht an der Leitung aus der Steckdose ziehen.
·Das Gerät darf niemals in Wasser eingetaucht, und beim Reinigen
nie mit Wasser in Berührung gebracht werden.
·Das Gerät im Betrieb nie auf weiche Kissen oder Decken legen.
·Die Anschlussleitung nie um das Gerät wickeln.
·Das Gerät darf nicht in Betrieb genommen werden, wenn:
- die Zuleitung beschädigt ist
- das Gerät sichtbare Schäden aufweist
- das Gerät heruntergefallen sein sollte.
·Das Gerät darf nur an trockenem Haar verwendet werden.
·An Kunsthaaren das Gerät nie verwenden.
·Vorsicht! Hautkontakt mit den heißen Keramik-Heizplatten sowie dem
rückwärtigen Gehäuse im Bereich der Platten vermeiden,
Verbrennungsgefahr!
·Personen mit motorischen Störungen sollten nie ohne Hilfe einer
zweiten Person das Gerät in Betrieb nehmen, um eine Gefährdung
zu vermeiden.
·Kinder erkennen nicht die Gefahren, die beim Umgang mit
Elektrogeräten entstehen können, deshalb Kinder niemals unbeauf-
sichtigt mit Elektrogeräten arbeiten lassen.
·Das Licht der Kontrollanzeige überschreitet nicht die Laserklasse 1
nach IEC 825-1.
·Bei Zweckentfremdung, falscher Bedienung oder nicht fachgerechter
Reparatur wird keine Haftung für eventuelle Schäden übernommen.
Ebenso sind Garantieleistungen in solchen Fällen ausgeschlossen.
·Das Gerät ist nicht für den gewerblichen Gebrauch bestimmt.

·Verpackungsmaterial, wie z. B. Folienbeutel gehören nicht in
Kinderhände.
·Wenn die Anschlussleitung dieses Gerätes beschädigt wird, muss sie
durch den zentralen Kundendienst des Herstellers oder eine ähnlich
qualifizierte Person ersetzt werden. Durch unsachgemäße
Reparaturen können erhebliche Gefahren für den Benutzer entstehen.
Inbetriebnahme
Legen Sie das Gerät auf eine gerade Fläche und schließen Sie den
Netzstecker an.
Achtung! Das Gerät hat keinen Ein/Aus-Schalter. Die Keramik-
Heizplatten werden beheizt, und die Kontrollanzeige leuchtet, solange
der Netzstecker in der Steckdose steckt.
Nach ca. 2 Minuten ist das Gerät betriebsbereit.
Die Temperatur lässt sich am Drehknopf zwischen 60 und 180°C ein-
stellen.
Anwendung
Beachten Sie, dass feines Haar besonders schnell auf die Behandlung
reagiert. Stellen Sie hierfür eine geringere Temperatur ein. Für kräfti-
ges, stark gewelltes Haar wählen Sie eine höhere Einstellung. Für dau-
ergewelltes Haar ist zu häufiges Glätten nicht ratsam.
Trocknen Sie Ihr Haar gründlich, bevor Sie das Gerät benutzen.
Benutzen Sie das Gerät nie im Zusammenhang mit Haarspray oder
anderen chemischen Haarpflegeprodukten.
Das Gerät ist für Lang- und Kurzhaar geeignet.
Das nach dem Waschen getrocknete und glattgekämmte Haar in gleich-
mäßig große Strähnen (ca. 5 cm breit) teilen. Legen Sie die so vorbe-
reiteten Strähnen einzeln zwischen die geöffneten Keramik-Heizplatten,
drücken Sie diese zusammen und ziehen Sie den Haarglätter langsam
und sanft vom Haaransatz ausgehend bis zu den Haarspitzen durch.
Das Haar gleitet mühelos durch die Keramik-Heizplatten. Die gleichmä-
ßige Wärmeabgabe ist besonders schonend für das Haar. Verweilen
Sie jedoch nie länger als 2 Sekunden an einer Stelle, um das Haar
nicht zu überstrapazieren.
Das auf diese Weise geglättete Haar vor dem endgültigen frisieren gut
abkühlen lassen. Das Ergebnis ist glattes Haar mit intensivem, seidi-
gem Glanz.
Reinigung und Pflege
Vor jeder Reinigung den Netzstecker ziehen und das Gerät abkühlen
lassen.
Das Gerät keinesfalls in Wasser tauchen, nur mit einem feuchten Tuch
abwischen und trockenreiben.
Vorsicht Feuergefahr! Verwenden Sie niemals Benzin, Spiritus oder
scharfe Reinigungsmittel.
Entsorgung: Das ausgediente Gerät sofort unbrauchbar machen und
einer ordnungsgemäßen Entsorgung zuführen. Entsorgungshinweise
erhalten Sie von der Gemeindeverwaltung.

Garantie-Information
Für unsere Geräte übernehmen wir gegenüber dem Endkunden eine
24-monatige Haltbarkeitsgarantie. Sie beginnt mit dem Kauf des
Gerätes durch den Endkunden und gilt im Gebiet der Bundesrepublik
Deutschland.
Ansprüche aus dieser Garantie sind unter Vorlage des Kaufbelegs
direkt gegenüber unserem zentralen Kundendienst geltend zu machen.
Von der Garantie ausgeschlossen sind Schäden durch normalen
Verschleiß, unsachgemäßem Gebrauch und unterbliebener Pflege und
Wartung.
Der Endkunde hat zusätzlich zu den Ansprüchen aus dieser Garantie
gesetzliche Ansprüche wegen Mängeln des Gerätes gegenüber seinem
direkten Verkäufer/Händler, die durch diese Garantie nicht einge-
schränkt werden.

Dieses Produkt darf am Ende seiner Lebensdauer nicht über
den normalen Haushaltsabfall entsorgt werden, sondern muss
an einem Sammelpunkt für das Recycling von elektrischen und

Instruction for use

Before using
Read these instructions carefully. They contain important notes for the
use, safety and maintenance of the appliance.
Keep them in a safe place and transfer them to a possible succeeding
user.
Only use the appliance for the purpose mentioned in these instructions.
When using follow the safety advice.
Safety advice
·Plug the appliance only on a 230 V outlet.
·Never immerse the appliance in water - do not use it while
having a bath or a shower or over a basin filled with water
or with wet hands. Do not use the appliance near bath,
wash basin or other containers filled with water. When the
appliance is used in a bathroom, unplug it after use since
the proximity of water presents a hazard.
·The installation of a faulty current protective device with a rated brea-
king current offers you additional safety by ensuring that 30 mA will
not be exceeded in the electrical circuit supplying the bathroom. Let
your installation electrician advise you.
·Remove the plug from the mains:
- after each use
- when not in continuous use
- if the unit does not function properly
- before cleaning
·Do not pull on lead.
·Do not submerge the appliance in water. The appliance should not
come into contact with water during cleaning.
·Never leave the working appliance on a soft cushion or blanket.
·The cord should never be wrapped around the appliance.
·Do not use the appliance if:
- the lead is damaged
- the appliance shows signs of damage
- if the appliance has been dropped.
·The appliance may only be used on dry hair.
·Do not use on artificial hair.
·Warning! Avoid skin contact with the hot metal plates as well as the
back housing near the plates otherwise you could get burnt!
·People with nervous disorders should not operate the appliance when
alone in order to avoid any possible danger.
·Children are not aware of the hazards of electrical appliances. There-
fore close supervision is necessary when the appliance is used by
children.
·The light of the pilot lamp do not exceed laser class 1 according to
IEC 825-1.
·In the case of misuse, wrong handling or incorrect repair no liability
will be taken for possible damages. Claims under guarantee are also
excluded in such cases.
·The appliance is intended only for private use.
·Packaging material e.g. plastic bags should be kept out of the reach
of children.

·In case the cord of this appliance is damaged, it has to be replaced
by an authorised service agent of the manufacturer or a person
having similar qualifications. Substantial dangers for the user can
appear from inappropriate repairs.
Operation
Put the appliance on an even surface and put the mains plug into the
wall socket.
Attention! The appliance has no on/off switch. The ceramic heating
plates reheat and the pilot lamp lights as long as the power plug is
inserted in the socket.
After about 2 minutes the appliance has reached its exact operating
temperature. The temperature can be adjusted between 60 and 180°C
on the control knop.
How to use the appliance
Please be aware that fine hair reacts particularly quickly to the treat-
ment. For this adjust a lower temperature. For strong and strongly
curled hair choose a higher temperature. Permanent straightening is
not recommended for permed hair. Dry your hair thoroughly before
using the appliance. Never use the appliance together with hair spray
or any other chemical hair tonic or similar products.
The appliance is suitable for long and short hair.
After washing, dry your hair, comb it straight and then divide you hair
into even sections (ca. 5 cm strands). Place these hair sections one at
a time between the open straightening plates and then close the plates
with the hair in between pulling slowly and gently downwards, from the
roots to the tips of your hair.
The ceramic heating plates glide smoothly through your hair. The even
heat is especially kind to your hair.
Never rest more than 2 seconds at any one place.
Allow the straightened hair to cool down before finally combing.
The result is straight hair with an intensive, silky shine.
Cleaning
Before cleaning, disconnect the appliance from the mains and allow the
appliance to cool down. Never immerse the appliance in water. You can
clean your appliance with a slightly damp cloth and dry it with a dry
cloth. Caution: risk of fire! Never use petrol, spirit or harsh cleaning
agents.
Waste Disposal: The used appliance should be made unserviceable
and a proper wastage disposal procedure should be followed. Wastage
disposal information can be obtained from your local administration.

For UK use only
·This product is supplied with a 13 A plug conforming to BS 1363 fitted
to the mains lead. If the plug is unsuitable for your socket outlets or
needs to be replaced, please note the following. If the plug is a non-
rewireable one, cut it from the mains lead and immediately dispose of
it. Never insert it into a socket outlet as there is a very great risk of an
electric shock.
·The replacement of the plug at the mains lead has to be done accor-
ding to the following instructions:
Important: The wires in this mains lead are coloured in accordance
with the following code:
blue Neutral
brown Live
As the colours of the wires in the mains lead of this appliance may
not correspond with the coloured markings identifying the terminals in
your plug, proceed as follows:
- the wire which is coloured blue must be connected to the terminal
which is marked with the letter N or coloured black,
- the wire which is coloured brown must be connected to the terminal
which is marked with the letter L or coloured red.
Do not connect any wire to the terminal which is marked with the let-
ter E or by the earth symbol , or coloured green or green and yellow.
·If a 13 A (BS 1363) plug is used it must be fitted with a
3 A fuse conforming to BS 1362 and be ASTA approved. If any other
type of plug is used, the appliance must be protected by a 5 A fuse
either in the plug or adapter or at the distribution board.
If in doubt - consult a qualified electrician.
·Never use the plug without closing the fuse cover.
The appliance complies with the European directives
73/23/EEC and 89/336/EEC.
At the end of its lifetime this product must not be disposed of
through the normal domestic waste, but it should be handed to an
assembly point for the recycling of electrical and electronical appli-
ances. You can inquire about details at the local administration.
