Introduction
Dear customer, congratulations on acquiring the new Philips health grill. Your new grill with four
grilling positions allows you to prepare all kinds of tasty food. Grilling with this appliance is safe and
easy and, thanks to the new grease tray, now even healthier!

Important
Read these instructions for use carefully before using the appliance and save them for future
reference.
◗Check if the voltage indicated on the bottom of the appliance corresponds to the local mains
voltage before you connect the appliance.
◗If the mains cord is damaged, it must be replaced by Philips, a service centre authorised by
Philips or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
◗Only connect the appliance to an earthed wall socket.
◗Do not let the mains cord hang over the edge of the table or worktop on which the
appliance is standing and keep the cord away from the hot surfaces of the appliance.
◗Put the appliance on a flat, stable surface with sufficient free space around it.
◗Always preheat the plates before putting any food between them.
◗Avoid touching the metal parts of the appliance as they become very hot during grilling.
◗Keep the appliance out of the reach of children.

◗Be careful of spattering fat when you are grilling fatty meat or sausages.
◗Always unplug the appliance after use.
◗Always clean the appliance after use.
◗Let the appliance cool down completely before removing the plates, cleaning the appliance
or putting it away.
◗Do not immerse the appliance or the mains cord in water or any other liquid.
◗Never touch the plates with sharp or abrasive items, as this will damage the non-stick
surface.
◗Make sure you reassemble the plates properly after having removed them.
Before first use
1Remove any stickers and wipe the body of the appliance with a damp cloth.
2Clean the appliance and the plates thoroughly (see chapter 'Cleaning').
◗Fully unwind the cord from the hooks on the bottom of the appliance (fig. 2).
The appliance may produce some smoke when you use it for the first time. This is normal.

Using the appliance
You can use the health grill in three positions:
◗Party grill position half open (fig. 3).
In this position the health grill offers a large grilling surface for the preparation of all kinds of snacks,
such as shashlik, satay, vegetables, fruits etc.
BOnly the bottom plate is in contact with the food.
◗Party grill position fully open (fig. 4).
In this position the health grill offers a large grilling surface for the preparation of all kinds of snacks,
such as shashlik, satay, vegetables, fruits etc.
BOnly the bottom plate is in contact with the food.
◗Panini grill position (fig. 5).
This position is especially suitable for quick high-temperature grilling (rump steaks, hamburgers etc.)
and for making toasted sandwiches or paninis.
BBoth grilling plates are in contact with the food.
◗Gratin grill position (fig 6).
This is the ideal position for grilling and cooking au gratin at the same time. The gratin grill position is
also suitable for the preparation of all kinds of 'open' toasts, e.g. with egg, tomato, peppers and/or
onion rings covered with cheese.
BThe upper grilling plate should not be in contact with the food.
Never let the appliance operate unattended.
1Place the plates in the appliance ('click') (fig. 7).
2Lightly grease the plates with a little butter or oil.
3Insert the plug into the wall socket.
4Turn the temperature control to the temperature setting that is appropiate for the
ingredients to be grilled. See section 'Grilling times' in this chapter.
The temperature light goes on.
5Put the grill in the desired position when the temperature light goes out.
Be careful: the grilling plates are hot!
◗Party grill position: pull the upper grilling plate up to its highest position (1) and then put the
grill in open position (2) (fig. 8).
◗Panini grill position: open the grill halfway (fig. 9).
◗Gratin grill position: open the grill halfway.
6Place the grease tray under the drainage opening to collect the fat or juice (fig. 10).
◗Note: you have to place two grease trays when the appliance is in the party grill position,
one underneath each grilling plate (fig. 11).
7Place the ingredients on the grilling plate or plates.
- For an optimal result, the ingredients should be placed in the centre of the plate or plates.
- During the grilling process, the temperature light goes on and off from time to time as an
indication that the heating elements are switched on and off to maintain the correct
temperature.
◗Party grill position: spread the food on top of the grilling surface. Turn the food from time to
time by means of a wooden or plastic spatula (fig. 12).
◗Panini grill position: put the food in the middle of the lower grilling plate (fig. 13).
◗Gratin grill position: put the food in the middle of the lower grilling plate (fig. 14).

◗Panini grill position: lower the upper plate carefully onto the ingredients. The upper plate
now rests on the food, causing it to be grilled evenly on both sides.
◗Gratin grill position: pull the upper grilling plate up to its highest position (1) and then put it in
horizontal position (2). The upper grilling plate should not be in contact with the food (fig. 16).
9Open the appliance when the required grilling time has elapsed (only for panini and gratin
grill positions).
The grilling time depends on the type of ingredients, their thickness and your personal taste. See the
table for recommended grilling times.
10 Remove the food.
Use a wooden or plastic spatula to remove the food from the appliance. Do not use metal, sharp
or abrasive kitchen utensils.
For optimal results, remove excess oil from the plates with a piece of kitchen paper before
grilling the next batch of food.
To continue grilling, place the next batch of food on the grilling plate(s) when the temperature light
goes out.
Grilling times
In the table at the end of these instuctions for use you will find a number of dishes you can prepare
with the health grill. The table shows which temperature to select, how long the food should be
grilled and the appropriate position of the grill. The time necessary to preheat the appliance has not
been included in the indicated grilling time.
The grilling time and temperature depend on the type of food that is being prepared (e.g. meat), its
thickness and its temperature and, of course, also on your own taste. See also the indications on the
health grill.
BDuring the grilling process the temperature light goes on and off from time to time. This means that
the health grill is adjusting the grilling temperature to the preset position. When this happens, you can
simply continue grilling.
Tips
◗You can also use the health grill as a thermostatically controlled hotplate, which
automatically keeps your dishes at the required temperature. Put the appliance in the party
grill position, set the temperature control to position 2 or 3 and cover the grilling plates
with aluminum foil with the shiny side facing upwards (fig. 17).
◗If you want to defrost frozen food, put the appliance in the gratin grill position, wrap the
frozen food in aluminium foil and set the temperature control to position 3 or 4. The
defrosting time depends on the weight of the food (fig. 18).
◗When you are preparing satay, chicken, pork or veal, first sear the meat at a high
temperature (position 5). If necessary, you can then set the temperature control one
position lower and grill the food until it is done.
◗Sausages tend to burst when they are being cooked. To prevent this, punch a few holes in
them with a fork.
◗Fresh meat gives better grilling results than frozen or defrosted meat.
◗Do not put salt on the meat until after you have grilled it. This will help to keep the meat
juicy.
◗The health grill is unsuitable for grilling breadcrumbed food.
◗For the best result, make sure the pieces of meat you are going to prepare are not too thick
(approx. 1.5 cm).

Cleaning
Never use abrasive cleaning agents and materials, as this will damage the non-stick coating of the
plates.
Never immerse the appliance in water.
1Unplug the appliance and let it cool down.
2Remove the grilling plates (fig. 19).
Always remove excess oil from the plates with a piece of kitchen paper before removing them for
cleaning. The plates can be removed by pressing on the fixing clips on the appliance and then lifting
the plates out of the appliance.
3Clean the grilling plates and grease trays with a soft cloth or sponge in hot water with some
washing-up liquid or in the dishwasher (fig. 20).
Residues can be removed by soaking the grilling plates in hot water with some washing-up liquid for
five minutes. This will loosen any caked food or grease.
4Dry the grilling plates and reassemble them: (fig. 21).
- Put the appliance in the party grill position (fig. 3).
- Place the rear edge of the grilling plates on the appliance (1) and lower the plates onto the
appliance and press them down under the fixing clip (2).
5Clean the outside of the appliance with a damp cloth.
Environment
◗Do not throw the appliance away with the normal household waste at the end of its life, but
hand it in at an official collection point for recycling. By doing this you will help to preserve
the environment (fig. 22).
Storage
◗Wind the cord round the hooks on the bottom of the appliance (fig. 2).
◗The grease trays can be stored by nesting them and attaching them to the storage hook on
the bottom of the appliance (fig. 23).
◗The appliance can be stored in vertical or horizontal position.

Grillpositionen ermöglichen die Zubereitung einer Vielfalt schmackhafter Speisen. Das Grillen mit
diesem Gerät ist einfach und sicher - und dank der Fettauffangschalen jetzt noch gesünder!

Wichtig
Lesen Sie diese Bedienungsanleitung vor dem ersten Gebrauch des Geräts sorgfältig durch und
bewahren Sie sie zur späteren Einsichtnahme auf.
◗Prüfen Sie vor dem Anschließen des Gerätes, ob die Spannungsangabe auf der Unterseite des
Gerätes mit der örtlichen Netzspannung übereinstimmt.
◗Wenn das Netzkabel defekt oder beschädigt ist, darf es nur von einem Philips Service-
Center oder einer von Philips autorisierten Werkstatt durch ein Original-Ersatzkabel
ausgetauscht werden, um Gefährdungen zu vermeiden.
◗Schließen Sie das Gerät nur an eine Schuko-Steckdose an.
◗Lassen Sie das Netzkabel nicht über die Kante der Tisch- oder Arbeitsplatte hängen, auf der
das Gerät steht. Achten Sie darauf, dass das Netzkabel nicht in Berührung mit den heißen
Oberflächen des Geräts kommt.
◗Stellen Sie das Gerät auf eine ebene, stabile Unterlage und halten Sie rund um das Gerät
ausreichend Platz frei.
◗Heizen Sie die Platten vor, bevor Sie Grillgut darauf legen.
◗Die Oberflächen des Geräts, mit denen man leicht in Berührung kommt, können während
des Betriebs heiß werden.
◗Halten Sie das Gerät außer Reichweite von Kindern.
◗Lassen Sie das eingeschaltete Gerät nicht unbeaufsichtigt.
◗Vorsicht vor Fettspritzern beim Grillen von fettem Fleisch und Würstchen!
◗Ziehen Sie nach dem Gebrauch stets den Netzstecker aus der Steckdose.
◗Reinigen Sie das Gerät nach jedem Gebrauch.
◗Lassen Sie das Gerät vollständig abkühlen, bevor Sie die Platten herausnehmen, das Gerät
reinigen oder wegstellen.
◗Tauchen Sie das Gerät und das Netzkabel nicht in Wasser oder andere Flüssigkeiten.
◗Berühren Sie die Platten nicht mit spitzen oder scheuernden Gegenständen, um
Beschädigungen der Antihaft-Beschichtung zu vermeiden.
◗Achten Sie darauf, die Platten wieder richtig einzusetzen, nachdem Sie sie entnommen haben.
Vor dem ersten Gebrauch
1Ziehen Sie alle Aufkleber ab und wischen Sie das Gehäuse des Geräts mit einem feuchten
Tuch ab.
2Reinigen Sie das Gerät und die Platten gründlich (siehe "Reinigung").

◗Wickeln Sie das Netzkabel vollständig von den Haken an der Unterseite des Geräts ab (Abbildung 2).
Beim ersten Gebrauch kann das Gerät etwas Rauch entwickeln. Das ist normal und kein Grund zur
Beunruhigung.
Der Gebrauch des Geräts
Sie können den Fitness-Grill in vier Positionen verwenden.
◗Als Party-Grill (halb geöffnet) (Abbildung 3).
In dieser Position bietet das Gerät eine große Grillfläche für die Zubereitung einer Vielzahl von
Speisen, z. B. Schaschlik, Sateé, Gemüse, Obst usw.
BDas Grillgut kommt nur mit der unteren Grillplatte in Berührung.
◗Als Party-Grill (ganz aufgeklappt) (Abbildung 4).
In dieser Position bietet das Gerät eine große Grillfläche für die Zubereitung einer Vielzahl von
Speisen, z. B. Schaschlik, Sateé, Gemüse, Obst usw.
BDas Grillgut kommt nur mit der unteren Grillplatte in Berührung.
◗Als Kontaktgrill (Abbildung 5).
Diese Position eignet sich besonders für schnelles Grillen bei hoher Temperatur (z. B. Steak,
Hamburger usw.) sowie für getoastete Sandwiches und Panini.
BBeide Grillplatten haben Kontakt zu den Speisen.
◗Als Gratin-Grill (Abbildung 6).
Diese Position ist ideal für gleichzeitiges Grillen und Überbacken und eignet sich besonders zum
Überbacken von Toast mit Käse (z. B. "Toast Hawaii" oder mit Ei, Tomate, Paprika, Zwiebelringen).
BDie obere Grillplatte sollte dabei nicht in Berührung mit dem Grillgut kommen.
Lassen Sie das eingeschaltete Gerät niemals unbeaufsichtigt.
1Setzen Sie die Platten in das Gerät (sie rasten hörbar ein) (Abbildung 7).
2Fetten Sie die Platten mit etwas Butter oder Öl ein.
3Stecken Sie den Netzstecker in die Steckdose.
4Stellen Sie den Temperaturregler auf die für das betreffende Grillgut geeignete Einstellung
(siehe Abschnitt "Grillzeiten" in diesem Kapitel).
Die Temperaturkontrolllampe leuchtet.
5Stellen Sie den Grill in die gewünschte Position, wenn die Lampe erlischt.
Vorsicht: Die Grillplatten sind heiß!
◗Party-Grill (halb geöffnet): Ziehen Sie die obere Grillplatte bis zum Anschlag hoch (1)
(Abbildung 8).
◗Kontaktgrill: Öffnen Sie den Grill zur Hälfte (Abbildung 9).
◗Gratin-Grill: Öffnen Sie den Grill zur Hälfte.
6Stellen Sie die Fettschale unter die Öffnung, um Fett bzw. Saft aufzufangen (Abbildung 10).
◗Hinweis: Wenn Sie das Gerät ganz aufgeklappt als Party-Grill benutzen, müssen Sie unter
jede Grillplatte eine Fettauffangschale stellen (Abbildung 11).
7Legen Sie das Grillgut auf die Grillplatte(n).
- Legen Sie das Grillgut in die Mitte der Platte(n), um optimale Ergebnisse zu erzielen.
- Während des Grillvorgangs geht die Temperaturkontrolllampe von Zeit zu Zeit aus und wieder
an. Dadurch wird signalisiert, dass sich die Heizelemente ein- und ausschalten, um die
erforderliche Temperatur aufrecht zu erhalten.
◗Party-Grill: Verteilen Sie die Speisen auf der Grillfläche. Wenden Sie das Grillgut von Zeit zu
Zeit mit einem Pfannenwender aus Holz oder Kunststoff (Abbildung 12).

◗Kontaktgrill: Legen Sie das Grillgut in die Mitte der unteren Platte (Abbildung 13).
◗Gratin-Grill: Legen Sie das Grillgut in die Mitte der unteren Platte (Abbildung 14).
8Schließen Sie das Gerät (nur bei Verwendung als Kontakt- bzw. Gratin-Grill) (Abbildung 15).
◗Kontaktgrill: Senken Sie die obere Platte vorsichtig auf das Grillgut. Die obere Platte liegt
jetzt auf dem Grillgut, so dass es von beiden Seiten gleichmäßig gegrillt wird.
◗Gratin-Grill: Ziehen Sie die obere Grillplatte in die oberste Position (1) und stellen Sie sie
dann waagerecht (2). Die obere Grillplatte darf nicht in Berührung mit dem Grillgut kommen
(Abbildung 16).
9Öffnen Sie das Gerät nach Ablauf der erforderlichen Grillzeit (gilt nur bei Verwendung als
Kontakt- bzw. Gratin-Grill).
Die Grillzeit ist abhängig von der Art des Grillgutes, seiner Dicke und von Ihrer persönlichen
Vorliebe (siehe Tabelle der empfohlenen Grillzeiten).
10 Entnehmen Sie die Speisen.
Entnehmen Sie die Speisen mit einem Pfannenwender aus Holz oder Kunststoff. Verwenden Sie
keine Gegenstände aus Metall oder spitze bzw. scheuernde Utensilien.
Am besten entfernen Sie überschüssiges Fett mit Küchenpapier von den Grillplatten, bevor Sie
die nächste Portion grillen.
Wenn die Temperaturkontrolllampe erlischt, können Sie eine weitere Portion zum Grillen auf die
Platte(n) legen.
Grillzeiten
In der Tabelle am Ende dieser Bedienungsanleitung finden Sie eine Reihe von Speisen, die Sie mit
dem Fitness-Grill zubereiten können. Gleichzeitig gibt die Tabelle Auskunft über die empfohlene
Temperatur, die Grilldauer sowie die geeignete Grillposition. Die zum Vorheizen des Geräts
erforderliche Zeit ist in den angegebenen Grillzeiten nicht enthalten.
Grillzeit und Grilltemperatur hängen von der Art (z. B. Fleisch), der Dicke und der Temperatur des
jeweiligen Grillguts ab - und natürlich auch von Ihrer persönlichen Vorliebe. Beachten Sie bitte auch
die Hinweise zum Fitness-Grill.
BWährend des Grillvorgangs geht die Temperaturkontrolllampe von Zeit zu Zeit aus und wieder an.
Dadurch wird signalisiert, dass der Fitness-Grill die eingestellte Grilltemperatur aufrecht erhält. Sie
können dann einfach mit dem Grillen fortfahren.
Hinweise
◗Sie können den Fitness-Grill auch als Warmhalteplatte mit Thermostat verwenden: Ihre
Speisen werden automatisch auf der gewünschten Temperatur gehalten. Klappen Sie das
Gerät in Party-Grill-Position auf, stellen Sie den Temperaturregler auf Stufe 2 oder 3 und
legen Sie Alu-Folie mit der glänzenden Seite nach oben auf die Grillplatten (Abbildung 17).
◗Zum Auftauen von Tiefkühlgut stellen Sie das Gerät in Gratin-Grill-Position, wickeln Sie das
Tiefkühlgut in Alu-Folie und stellen Sie den Temperaturregler auf Stufe 3 oder 4. Die
erforderliche Auftauzeit hängt vom Gewicht der Lebensmittel ab (Abbildung 18).
◗Bei der Zubereitung von Sateé - Huhn, Schwein oder Kalb - versiegeln Sie das Fleisch zuerst
bei hoher Temperatur (Stufe 5). Sofern erforderlich, können Sie die Temperatur dann zum
Garen des Grillguts eine Stufe niedriger einstellen.
◗Da Würstchen meistens beim Grillen/Braten platzen, empfiehlt es sich, vorher mit einer
Gabel einige Löcher in die Würstchen zu stechen.
◗Frisches Fleisch führt zu besseren Ergebnissen als tiefgefrorenes oder aufgetautes Fleisch.
◗Salzen Sie das Fleisch erst nach dem Grillen. So bleibt das Fleisch saftiger.
◗Das Gerät eignet sich nicht zum Grillen von panierten Lebensmitteln.

◗Die besten Ergebnisse erzielen Sie, wenn das Grillfleisch nicht zu dick ist (ca. 1,5 cm).
Reinigung
Reinigen Sie die Platten nicht mit Scheuermitteln oder Scheuerschwämmen; das würde die
Antihaft-Beschichtung beschädigen.
Tauchen Sie das Gerät niemals in Wasser!
1Ziehen Sie den Netzstecker und lassen Sie das Gerät abkühlen.
2Entnehmen Sie die Grillplatten (Abbildung 19).
Entfernen Sie vor dem Reinigen der Platten überschüssiges Fett mit Küchenpapier. Drücken Sie auf
die Befestigungsklemmen am Gerät und nehmen Sie die Platten heraus.
3Reinigen Sie die Grillplatten und Fettauffangschalen mit einem weichen Tuch oder Schwamm
in heißem Wasser und etwas Spülmittel oder im Geschirrspüler (Abbildung 20).
Weichen Sie die Grillplatten fünf Minuten in heißem Wasser mit etwas Spülmittel ein, um
hartnäckige Lebensmittelreste und Fett zu lösen.
4Trocknen Sie die Grillplatten und setzen Sie sie wieder ein: (Abbildung 21).
- Stellen Sie das Gerät in die Party-Grill-Position (Abbildung 3).
- Setzen Sie den hinteren Rand der Grillplatten in das Gerät (1), senken Sie die Platten und
drücken Sie sie unter die Klemmen (2).
5Reinigen Sie das Gehäuse mit einem feuchten Tuch.
Umweltschutz
◗Geben Sie das Gerät am Ende der Lebensdauer nicht in den normalen Hausmüll. Bringen Sie
es zum Recycling zu einer offiziellen Sammelstelle. Auf diese Weise helfen Sie die Umwelt zu
schonen (Abbildung 22).
Aufbewahrung
◗Legen Sie das Kabel um die Kabelaufwicklung an der Unterseite des Geräts (Abbildung 2).
◗Die Fettauffangschalen lassen sich - in einander gelegt - an die Haken an der Unterseite des
Geräts hängen (Abbildung 23).
◗Das Gerät kann in senkrechter oder waagerechter Position aufbewahrt werden.

Introduction
Cher consommateur, félicitations pour l'achat du nouveau gril Philips pour une cuisson plus saine!
Votre nouveau gril avec quatre positions de grillage vous permet de préparer toute sorte d'aliments
délicieux. Le grillage avec cet appareil est sur et facile. Grâce au nouveau plateau à graisse, la cuisson
est encore plus saine.

Important
Avant de commencer à utiliser l'appareil, lisez attentivement ce mode d'emploi et conservez-le
pour une consultation ultérieure.
◗Avant de brancher votre appareil, vérifiez que la tension indiquée sur le fond de l'appareil
correspond bien à la tension de votre secteur.
◗Si le cordon d'alimentation est endommagé, il ne doit être remplacé que par un Centre
Service Agréé Philips ou par une personne autorisée pour éviter tout accident.
◗Branchez l'appareil uniquement sur une prise équipée d'une mise à la terre.
◗Placez l'appareil de telle manière que le cordon d'alimentation ne pende pas de la table ou du
plan de travail et évitez que le cordon soit en contact avec les parties chauffantes de
l'appareil.
◗Mettez l'appareil sur une surface plate et stable, avec suffisamment d'espace autour.
◗Chauffez toujours les plaques au préalable avant de mettre les ingrédients.
◗Les surfaces accessibles peuvent être très chaudes lors du fonctionnement de l'appareil
◗Tenez l'appareil hors de portée des enfants.
◗Ne laissez jamais l'appareil en marche sans surveillance.
◗Faites attention à la graisse qui peut éclabousser lorsque vous faites griller de la viande ou
des saucisses.
◗Débranchez toujours l'appareil après utilisation.
◗Nettoyez toujours l'appareil après chaque utilisation.
◗Laissez l'appareil refroidir complètement avant de retirer les plaques, de nettoyer l'appareil
ou de le ranger.
◗Ne plongez jamais l'appareil ou le cordon d'alimentation dans l'eau ou dans tout autre
liquide.
◗Ne touchez jamais les plaques avec des objets pointus ou abrasifs car cela pourrait
endommager le revêtement anti-adhésif.
◗Remontez les plaques correctement après les avoir retirées.
Avant la première utilisation
1Retirez tout autocollant et essuyez le corps de l'appareil à l'aide d'un chiffon humide.
2Nettoyez à fond l'appareil et les plaques (voir chapitre "Nettoyage").
◗Déroulez complètement le cordon d'alimentation enroulé autour des pattes de fixation
situées en dessous de l'appareil (fig. 2).
Lors de la première utilisation, l'appareil peut dégager un peu de fumée. C'est tout à fait normal.

Utilisation de l'appareil
Vous pouvez utiliser le gril pour une cuisson saine à quatre positions:
◗Position de cuisson Party (ouvert à moitié) (fig. 3).
Dans cette position, le gril offre une surface de grillage importante pour préparer toute sorte
d'ingrédients, tels que le shashlik, le saté, toute sorte de légumes ou fruits, etc.
BSeulement la plaque inférieure est en contact avec les aliments.
◗Position de cuisson Party (complètement ouvert) (fig. 4).
Dans cette position, le gril offre une surface de grillage importante pour préparer toute sorte
d'ingrédients, tels que le shashlik, le saté, toute sorte de légumes ou fruits, etc.
BSeulement la plaque inférieure est en contact avec les aliments.
◗Position de cuisson Panini (fig. 5).
Cette position est particulièrement adaptée pour les cuissons rapides à haute température
(rumsteck, hamburgers etc) ou pour griller des toasts ou paninis.
BLes deux plaques de cuisson sont en contact avec les aliments.
◗Position de cuisson Gratin (fig 6).
Ceci est la position idéale pour griller et gratiner simultanément. La position gratin est aussi adaptée
pour la préparation de toutes sortes de toasts "ouverts", par ex. à l'oeuf, à la tomate, au poivron
et/ou aux rondelles d'oignon couvertes de fromage.
BLa plaque de cuisson supérieure ne doit pas être en contact avec les aliments.
Ne laissez jamais l'appareil sans surveillance pendant l'utilisation.
1Montez les plaques ("clic") (fig. 7).
2Enduisez légèrement les plaques de beurre ou d'huile.
3Insérez la fiche dans la prise murale.
4Tournez le thermostat sur le réglage de grillage nécessaire. Voir section "Durée de grillage"
dans ce chapitre.
Le voyant de la température s'allume.
5Mettez le gril sur la position désirée lorsque le témoin de température s'éteint.
Attention à ne pas vous brûler: les plaques de cuisson sont très chaudes!
◗Position de cuisson Party (ouvert à moitié): tirez la plaque de cuisson supérieure vers le haut
dans la position la plus élevée (1).(fig. 8).
◗Position de cuisson Panini: ouvrez le gril à moitié (fig. 9).
◗Position de cuisson Gratin: ouvrez le gril à moitié.
6Positionnez le plateau à graisse au-dessous de la gorge d'écoulement pour récupérer la
graisse ou le jus (fig. 10).
◗Note: vous devez positionner deux plateau à graisse au-dessous de chaque plaque lorsque
l'appareil est dans la position de cuisson Party (complètement ouvert) (fig. 11).
7Mettez les ingrédients sur la(s) plaque(s) de cuisson.
- Pour obtenir des résultats optimaux, placez les ingrédients au centre des plaques.
- Pendant le grillage, le témoin lumineux s'allume et s'éteint de temps en temps pour indiquer
que les élements chauffants maintiennent l'appareil à la température correcte.
◗Position de cuisson Party: placez les ingrédients sur la surface de grillage. Retournez les
aliments de temps en temps à l'aide d'une spatule en bois ou en plastique (fig. 12).
◗Position de cuisson Panini: placez les aliments au centre de la plaque inférieure (fig. 13).
◗Position de cuisson Gratin: placez les aliments au centre de la plaque inférieure (fig. 14).

8Fermez l'appareil (seulement dans les positions Panini ou Gratin) (fig. 15).
◗Position de cuisson Panini: abaissez doucement la plaque supérieure sur les ingrédients. La
plaque supérieure couvre les aliments en le grillant uniformément.
◗Position de cuisson Gratin: relevez la plaque de cuisson supérieure sur la plus haute position
(1) et ramenez-la en position horizontale (2). La plaque supérieure ne doit pas être en
contact avec les aliments (fig. 16).
9Ouvrez le gril lorsque le temps de cuisson nécessaire s'est écoulé (positions panini et gratin
uniquement).
Le temps de grillage nécessaire dépend du type d'ingrédient, de sa dimension et du goût personnel.
Consultez le tableau pour les durées de grillage.
10 Enlevez les aliments.
Utilisez une spatule en bois ou en plastique pour enlever les ingrédients grillés. N'utilisez pas
d'ustensiles métalliques, pointus ou abrasifs.
Pour de meilleurs résultats, enlevez l'excédant de graisse des plaques de cuisson avec un essuie-
tout, avant de continuer le grillage.
Mettez d'autres ingrédients sur la plaque inférieure lorsque le témoin s'éteint pour continuer de griller.
Durées de grillage
Dans le tableau à la fin de ce mode d'emploi vous trouverez plusieurs plats que vous pouvez
préparer avec le gril. Le tableau vous indique la température à choisir, la durée de grillage et la
position appropriée. Les durées de grillage indiquées dans le tableau ne comprennent pas le temps
nécessaire à chauffer l'appareil.
La durée de grillage et la température dépendent également du type de nourriture que vous
préparez (par ex. viande), sa dimension, sa température et le goût personnel. Voir aussi les
instructions sur le gril.
BPendant le grillage, le témoin s'allume et s'éteint de temps en temps. Les éléments chauffants
s'allument et s'éteignent pour maintenir la température correcte de l'appareil. Lorsque le témoin vert
s'éteint vous pouvez continuer le grillage.
Suggestions
◗Vous pouvez utiliser le gril comme plaque chauffante contrôlée par thermostat, qui maintient
vos plats à la température idéale. Mettez l'appareil sur la position de cuisson Party, réglez le
thermostat sur la position 2 ou 3 et recouvrez les plaques de cuisson d'un papier
d'aluminium, face brillante vers le haut (fig. 17).
◗Si vous voulez décongeler des aliments, réglez l'appareil sur la position de cuisson "gratin",
enveloppez les aliments congelés dans du papier d'aluminium et réglez le thermostat sur la
position 3 ou 4. La durée de décongélation dépend de la taille des aliments (fig. 18).
◗Lorsque vous préparez du saté, du poulet, porc ou veau, commencez par saisir la viande à
une haute température (position 5). Si nécessaire, vous pouvez en suite régler le thermostat
sur une position inférieure et faire cuire les aliments à votre convenance.
◗Les saucisses ont tendance à éclater lors de la cuisson. Pour éviter cela, piquez-les avec une fourchette.
◗Vous obtiendrez de meilleurs résultats si la viande est fraîche, et non pas congelée ou
décongelée.
◗Ajoutez de sel sur la viande après l'avoir grillée. Ainsi la viande restera juteuse.
◗Le gril n'est pas approprié pour les ingrédients panés.
◗Pour obtenir de meilleurs résultats, ne faites pas griller de gros morceaux de viande (environ 1,5 cm).

Nettoyage
N'utilisez jamais des produits abrasifs car cela peut endommager le revêtement anti-adhésif de la
plaque de cuisson.
Ne plongez jamais l'appareil dans l'eau.
1Débranchez l'appareil et laissez-le refroidir.
2Enlevez les plaques de cuisson (fig. 19).
Essuyez toujours l'excédent d'huile avec un essuie-tout avant de retirer les plaques de cuisson pour
les nettoyer. Les plaques peuvent être retirées en appuyant sur les clips de fixation.
3Nettoyez les plaques à l'aide d'un chiffon doux ou d'une éponge dans l'eau chaude
savonneuse ou lavez-les au lave-vaisselle (fig. 20).
Trempez les plaques dans de l'eau chaude savonneuse pendant cinq minutes pour enlever tout
résidu. Ainsi vous pouvez enlever plus facilement la graisse et les restes collés.
4Séchez les plaques de cuisson et remontez-les: (fig. 21).
- Mettez l'appareil sur la position de cuisson Party (fig. 3).
- Placez le bord arrière des plaques sur l'appareil (1), abaissez les plaques et appuyez-les vers le
bas sous le clip de fixation (2).
5Nettoyez l'extérieur de l'appareil avec un chiffon humide.
Environnement
◗Lorsqu'il ne fonctionne plus, ne jetez pas l'appareil avec les ordures ménagères mais
déposez-le à un endroit assigné à cet effet, où il pourra être recyclé. Vous contribuerez ainsi
à la protection de l'environnement (fig. 22).
Rangement
◗Enroulez le cordon d'alimentation autour des pattes à la base de l'appareil (fig. 2).
◗Attachez les plateaux à graisse au crochet au fond de l'appareil pour les ranger (fig. 23).
◗L'appareil peut être rangé en position horizontale ou verticale.
