Operating Instructions:
1. Connect the BP-RG to the DC-DC converter (CV-RG) and
to the RoadGear unit. Ensure you correctly connect the
positive and negative power terminals of the BG-RG to the
DC-DC converter to avoid damaging equipment.
2. Turn the power switch on.
3. This device may be used and charged simultaneously, if
required.
4. If needed, the light switch may be used to illuminate your
environment. The light should last up to 25 hours.
Charging Information:
1. Since the battery pack has no charge memory, it can be charged at anytime without having to
discharge first.
2. The 4 LED charge indicators show the current charge of the battery pack. When the power
charge is down to very low levels, the power will automatically cut out and a sound will alarm
you to the need to charge. If the battery pack is then left without charge for a long period of time,
it may become completely drained and thus cause serious damage to the battery .
To Charge:
1. Plug the AC power adaptor to the wall outlet and plug the DC head into the battery pack. The
charge LED will then illuminate to show the device is, indeed, charging. If the LED does not
come on, then it may be because there is no power in the wall outlet you are using, or that
either the AC adaptor or DC head are not correctly plugged in.
2. When the battery pack is almost full, the 80% LED indicator will light up. When this happens, it
may take a while before the battery reaches full capacity, as the battery charges faster at low
levels, then slows down somewhat at 80% until fully charged.
3. When the full indicator lights up the battery pack is then fully charged and charging will stop
automatically to avoid causing overcharge damage.
