Intended Use of the TrueCPR Device
The TrueCPR device is indicated for use on patients in cardiac arrest (unconscious, pulseless, not breathing normally).
The TrueCPR device is not intended for use on children or infants. Only use the device on patients who are 8 years of
age or older.
The TrueCPR device provides coaching and feedback to assist rescuers in performing CPR. Rescuers must be trained in
CPR and the use of the device.
If at any time rescuers are unable to use the device, they should perform CPR unaided.
Getting Started
TrueCPR provides coaching and feedback for compression rate and depth. It does not provide feedback on complete
compression release (recoil).
Turn on the device by pressing the green button.

Allow the device to perform self-calibration. Do not apply pressure to the chest pad until calibration is complete and the
feedback screen appears (approximately 3 seconds).
Press and hold the button for 2 seconds to turn o the device.

Compression Depth Indicators
Correct : The gray fan moves toward the green target zone.
Gray fan represents compression depth in progress as it
moves across the dial.
Target zone changes from light to dark green when the
compression reaches the target depth of 2-2.4 in (5-6 cm)
Incorrect
Orange arrow means push deeper. Dark gray segment
in outer circle indicates previous compression was too
shallow.
Orange wedge outside compression target zone means
reduce depth; compressions are too deep 2.4 in (>6cm).

Recoil Reminder
100
08:25
The TrueCPR device indicates compression depth and rate on the dial. It does not indicate recoil.
The recoil reminder (hands icon with arrow) is always present during compressions.
The gray fan gets lighter and disappears when it approaches the hands icon.
The hands icon is a reminder to continue to lift your hands until you have no pressure on the chest/device.

Additional Indicators
Device cannot provide feedback. Turn device o and back
on. If indicator persists, perform CPR unaided.
Electronic noise is interfering with device. Locate and
remove source of interference. If indicator persists, perform
CPR unaided.

Use on a Mattress
If the patient is on a mattress, place a backboard beneath the patient according to standard protocols. Insert the back
pad between the patient and backboard. If the device cannot be positioned correctly, remove the device and perform
CPR unaided.
Use During Defibrillation
It is acceptable to keep the device on the patient during defibrillation with the following precautions:
1. Do not touch the TrueCPR device during defibrillation.
2. Do not apply defibrillator electrodes on top of the TrueCPR device cable.
3. Position the chest pad and defibrillator electrodes as shown:

Important Reminders
The TrueCPR device provides coaching and feedback on compression depth and rate, and prompts for venti-
lations. It does not provide feedback on recoil.
Always allow for complete chest release (recoil) by continuing to lift hands o the device after the gray fan has
disappeared.
If proper positioning or correct use is not possible for whatever reason, perform CPR unaided.
Conclusion
This concludes training and hands-on practice sessions.
Refer to the TrueCPR Coaching Device Instructions For Use for complete directions for use, indications, contrain-
dications, warnings and precautions.
