Check before use
1. Plate thickness refers to mild steel for cutting.
2. Clean the orifices with piece of fine emery cloth at right
angle or tip cleaner. you may use a piece of soft copper
wire
3. Tip and Nozzle may become dirty after prolonged use so
clean it before use.
4. Do not interfere with sealing surfaces either in the nozzle
or in the cutting torches nozzle holder.
5. To avoid the Backfire or Sustained back fire always use
recommended gas pressure.
6. The preheat flames must furnish just the right amount of
heat, and the oxygen jet orifice must deliver the correct
amount of oxygen at just the right pressure and velocity
to produce a clean cut.
Instructions for safe operation
1. First check that all the gas control knobs on the cutting
torches are closed. Then adjust the gas pressure to the
suitable thickness of the work piece in accordance with
the cutting data.
2. Wear correct eye and body protections.
3. Keep head away from fumes.
4. Keep gas hoses away from flame spatters and red hot
material.
5. Do not drop the gas cutting torch or allow heavy objects
to fall on it.
6. Ensure grease, oil or other Inflammable fluids are not use
in gas supply connections.
Operating the cutting torches during use
1. The valve of both oxygen and acetylene / LPG gases
cylinder should be cracked, opened only slightly and then
closed to blow out possible external particles before
connecting the regulator.
2. Connect the oxygen Regulator and Acetylene / LPG
gases Regulator to the respective cylinder by means of a
suitable wrench.
3. Connect the black rubber hose to the oxygen regulator
and the red to the acetylene / LPG gases regulator.
4. Connect the other end of the black hose to the oxygen
inlet connection of the cutting torch and the other end of
the hose to the acetylene / LPG gases inlet connection of
the cutting torch.
5. Secure all hose connections with suitable hose clips only.
6. Connect the suitable nozzle and tips as per the job
requirement and secure them tightly. Take the guidance
from the operating manual provided.
7. Open the acetylene / LPG gases cylinder slowly not more
then one and half turns after ensuring that the regulator
knob is not applying any pressure.
8. Open the oxygen cylinder slowly and wait till the content
pressure gauge registers the full content pressure and
then open the cylinder fully.
9. Set the acetylene / LPG gases and oxygen working
pressure as per the operating manual provided.
10. Open the acetylene / LPG gases knob of the cutting torch
and feel the flow of gas and ignite it using a friction
lighter. Open the oxygen knob and adjust both the knobs
to get a neutral flame.
11. After use first close the acetylene / LPG gases knob of
the cutting torch and then the oxygen knob. Then close
the cylinder valves.
12. Release all pressures from the regulator and the hose.
