Please

instructions
carefully
and
retain
them
for
reference.

All
users
of
this
appliance
must
read
and
understand
this
manual
before
using
or
cleaning
this
appliance.
•
Use
this
appliance
solely
in
accordance
with
these
instructions.
•
Without
supervision
this
appliance
may
not
be
used
by
children
or
persons
who
have
a
physical
or
mental
restriction
and
therefore
are
not
able
to
use
the
appliance
safely.
•Have any repairs carried out solely by aqualified electrician. Never try to repair
the
appliance
yourself.
•
The
Pizzarette
is
intended
only
for
domestic
use,
not
for
commercial
use.
Electricity
and
heat
•Verify that the main voltage is the same as that indicated on the
type
plate
on
the
appliance
before
use.
•Make sure the socket into which you plug the appliance is grounded.
•Always unplug from the wall socket when the appliance is not in use. Always
un plug from the wall socket by pulling on the plug, not the power cord.
•Check the appliance’s power cord regularly to make sure it is not damaged. Do
not
use
the
appliance
if
the
power
cord
is
damaged.
A
damaged
cord
must
be
replaced
by
a
qualified
electrician.
•
Certain
parts
of
the
appliance
can
become
hot.
Do
not
touch
them,
as
you
may
burn
yourself.
•
Allways
use
the
knob
to
lift
the
terracotta
dome.
Use
oven
mitts
or
potholders.
•Only touch or lift spatula by black plastc handle as the metal gets very hot.
•
Make
sure
that
the
appliance
has
sufficient
space
around
it,
and
does
not
come
in
contact
with
flammable
material.
The
appliance
must
not
be
covered.
•
Make
sure
that
the
appliance
and
the
powercord
do
not
come
in
contact
with
sources
of
heat,
such
as
a
hot
hob
or
naked
flame.
•
Make
sure
that
the
appliance,
the
power
cord
and
plug
do
not
come
in
contact
with
water.
•
Allow
the
hot
appliance
to
cool
down
at
least
30
minutes
before
cleaning
and
storing.
Using
for
the
first
time
•
There
are
no
tools
required
to
assemble
the
knob.
Slide
the
bolt
of
the
knob
through
the
top
hole
of
the
terracotta
dome.
Use
the
washer
and
the
wring
nut
on
the
inside
of
the
dome
andt
tighten
by
hand.
Do
not
over
tighten.
The
terracotta
dome
might
break.
•
Clean
the
baking
plate
before
using
the
appliance
for
the
first
time
(see
‘Cleaning
and
maintenance’).
The
appliance
may
emit
some
smoke
and
a
characteristic smell when you switch it on for the first time. This is normal,
and will soon stop.
How
to
use
the
Pizzarette?
•
Place
the
appliance
on
a
flat,
stable,
heat-resistant
and
splash-proof
surface
where
it
cannot
fall.
•
Make
sure
that
your
hands
are
dry
before
touching
the
appliance,
power
cord
or
plug.
•
Do
not
use
the
appliance
where
it
can
get
splashed
by
water
•
To
turn
on
the
pizzarette
just
plug
in
the
power
cord
into
a
grounded
outlet
wall socket. The control light on the side of the pizzarette will switch on and the
appliance
will
heat
up
immideately.
•Do not touch the appliance if it falls into water. Remove the plug from the wall
socket
immediately.
Do
not
use
the
appliance
any
more.
•
Make
sure
that
the
appliance
has
sufficient
ventilation
during
operation.
•
Unplug
the
socket
from
the
wall
socket
to
switch
off
the
appliance.
•
Clean
the
appliance
after
use
(see
‘Cleaning
and
maintenance’).
•
Never
immerse
the
appliance,
the
plug
or
the
power
cord
in
water
or
other
Iiquids.
•This appliance may not be used through an external timer or by means of a
remote
control.
•Do not use the appliance to heat or cook meat. Hot fat may drip on the
heating
element
and
may
cause
fire.
•
Never
operate
the
unit
when
the
dome
is
not
on
the
appliance,
covering
both
heating
elements.
Cleaning
and
maintenance
•
Allow
the
hot
appliance
to
cool
down
at
least
30
minutes
before
cleaning
and
storing.
•
When
hot,
the
terracotta
dome
must
never
come
into
contact
with
water
or
be placed on acold surface (danger of cracks). Allow the hot appliance to cool
down
before
cleaning
and
storing.
•
Normally,
the
terracotta
dome
does
not
have
to
be
cleaned.
If
cleaning
is
necessary,
use
clear,
warm
water
and
a
brush.
•
Caution:
The
terracotta
dome
is
sensitive
to
breakage
and
is
not
suitable
for
a
dishwasher.
•Rinse the baking sheet and pizza spatulas with warm water and abrush. Don’t
put
any
parts
in
the
dishwasher.
•
Never
submerge
the
base
in
water.
The
surface
can
be
cleaned
using
a
moist
cloth.
•Always use the original box to store the appliance and its accessories to avoid
damage.
•If the appliance is not to be used for some length of time, the baking sheet
should
be
lightly
oiled
or
greased
to
prevent
rust
from
forming.

The
environment
•Dispose of packaging material, such as plastic and boxes, in the
appropriate
waste
containers.
•When this product reaches the end of its useful life do not
dispose of it by putting it in adustbin; hand it in at acollection
point
for
the
reuse
of
electrical
and
electronic
equipment.
Please
refer
to
the
symbols
on
the
product,
the
user’s
instructions
or
the
packaging.
•The materials can be re-used as indicated. Your help in the re-use, recycling or
other means of making use of old electrical equipment will make an important
contribution
to
the
protection
of
the
environment.
•

Warranty
terms
The
importer
guarantees
the
appliance
against
defects
caused
by
manufacturing
and/or material faults for 12 months from the date of purchase, subject to the
following
conditions.
1. No charges will be made for labour costs or materials during the
warranty period. Any repairs carried out during the warranty period do not
extend
the
warranty
period.
2. The importer automatically becomes the owner of any faulty parts that
he replaces or afaulty appliance (in the event of replacement of the
appliance).
3. All claims submitted under warranty must be accompanied by the
original
bill
of
sale.
4.Claims under warranty must be submitted to the retailer (or importer)
where the appliance was originally purchased.
5.The warranty is issued solely to the first purchaser and cannot be trans
ferred.
6.The warranty does not cover damage caused by:
a. Accidents, incorrect use, wear and/or neglect.
b. Faulty installation and/or use in amanner contravening the
prevailing legal, technical or safety regulations.
c. Connection to amain voltage other than the voltage specified on
the
type
plate.
d.
Unauthorized
modifications.
e. Repairs carried out by third parties.
f. Careless transport, i.e. without suitable packaging materials or
protection.
7. No claims may be made under this warranty for:
a. Losses incurred during transport.
b.The removal or changing of the appliance’s serial number.
8.The
guarantee
does
not
cover
power
cords
or
the
terracotta
dome.
9.No claims can be submitted under this warranty for damage other than
the repair or replace ment of faulty parts. The importer can never be held
responsible for any consequential loss or damage or any other conse-
quences, resulting either directly or indirectly from the appliance supplied
by
the
importer.
