Before Installation
The USB ADSLmodem support the following two modes
l WANmodesupport:
n PPP over ATM LLCSNAP/VCMUX (RFC 2364)
n PPP over Ethernet LLCSNAP/VCMUX(RFC 2516)
l LAN modesupport:
n ClassicalIP over ATM (RFC 1577)
n Bridged IP over ATM LLCSNAP/VCMUX(RFC
1483)
You must get the connection mode and following data from your
ISP or phone company to set up ADU-2110A.
ADSLWAN (PPPoE/PPPoA) mode user
l VPI/VCI value
l Encapsulationmode (example: RFC 2364 PPPoA, RFC
2516 PPPoE...etc.)
l Username and password for authentication
ADSLLAN mode user
l VPI/VCI value
l Encapsulationmode(example: RFC 1483, 1577...etc.)
l IP Address, Subnet Mask
l Gateway, DNS related information
Step I: HardwareInstallation
1. Turn onyour PC
2. Connect theprovided RJ-11cable into LINEport onthe real
panel of the modem and insert theother end to splitter.
3. Connect the Type-A endof USB cable to your PC.
4. Insert bundled USB driver CD into your CD-ROM drive and
followinstructiontoinstallADU-2110.
Step 2: Driver Installation for bothLAN and
WAN mode
The following list of driver installation procedures are Windows
98SE, ME, 2000, andXP.
Driver Installation on Windows 98SE/ME
1. When detect newhardware windowappears, click “Cancel”.
2. Insert “EasySetup SoftwareKit”,front page ofEasy Setup
windowwill appear. Install Driver: Click here toinstallADSL USB
modem driver.
3. Click “Install Driver”and thenselect the country you are at.
PS. If your country is not on the list, please click “G”to next page.
4. After finish country selecting, the windowbelowwill appear.
Select the ISP, and then click “}}”to next page.
5. Enter your account “User Name,Password and Password
Confirm”thenclick “}}”to next page.
6. Confirm modem settings and click “}}”tonext page.
7. Software kit searches availableUSB modem

8. After software kit finds the device, operating system starts to
load USB driver.
9. For Widows 98SE, system will ask you toinsertWindows
98SE installation CD, pleaseinsert theCD and click “OK”.
10. Enter correct file pathand click “OK”.
11. System finishes installationand click “r”to close installation
window.
12. Connect your ISPwith WAN connections, click
”AccessRunner DSL”icon.
13. Enter correct “UsernameandPassword”then click
“Connect”to connect toyour ISP
Driver Installation on Windows 2000/XP
1. When detect newhardware windowappears, click “Cancel”
2. The procedures 2to8 are sameas the procedures ofWin-
dows 98SE/ME. Pleaserefer driver installationon Windows
98SE/ME.
9. System finishes installation and click “r”tocloseinstallation
window.
10. Connect your ISPwith WAN connections, click “Access-
Runner DSL”icon.
11. Enter correct “User nameandPassword”, and then click
“Connect”to connect toyour ISP.
