1. General
IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS!
All safety and operating instructions should be read before the equipment is
installed or operated.
IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION
The following general safety precautions have to be observed during all phases
of operation, service, and the repair of this equipment. Failure to comply with
these precautions or with specific warnings in this manual violates safety
standards of design, manufacture, and the intended use of this equipment.
Do not operate in an explosive atmosphere!
Do not operate this equipment in the presence of flammable gases or fumes.
Operation of any electrical instrument in such an environment constitutes
a definite safety hazard.

Do not operate this equipment near water or in areas with wet floors, or in high
humidity atmosphere, where condensation forms on the equipment. It should
never be placed near or over a heat register or other source of heated air. It
should not be installed or operated without proper ventilation.
Power connections
This equipment must be earthed.
Let the equipment adapt the environment for at least 10 minutes after
unpac ing.
Connect the power cable correctly – 3-way (L+N+PE).
Output connection
The output terminals are located inside the dimmer. Live, neutral and earth
connections must be made to all load equipment.
DMX Input connection
DMX connectors are located on the rear panel for IN and OUT connections.
These also facilitate the use of a 120Ohm low impedance terminator if the
dimmer is the last equipment on the DMX line. DMX input is optically isolated.

2. Functions and Control

8. Power output glands
After the connection of dimmer to mains AC230/50Hz power is made, it can be
turned on using the MAIN switch. DMX OK and ERROR LEDs are off when there is no
DMX signal. If the DMX ERROR LED is lit – switch the data lines on DMX. If the DMX
signal is connected in right polarity, the DMX OK LED is green.
Set the DMX start address using a binary switch. The unit is operated by 16 or 32
control channels. Last switch /#10/ is used for DMX hold function – when the DMX
signal is off, output of dimming channels will stay in last position.

Top view of DP32 WM:
16 or 32 WAGO terminal bloc s for direct connection of bulbs are located inside the
dimmer on the power board. Each output is equipped with a separate fuse. All
output cables from the terminal bloc s must go through the power output glands
located on top and bottom sides of the device.
Always connect all three terminals to the light source – L, N and PE!
