Troubleshooting
Here at Playlearn we have spent many years developing our bubble feature range to ensure they are trouble
free. We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase and we invite any questions and concerns
you have. Please e-mail us at h[email protected] or call 0161 737 5099. The product is delicate and needs
maintaining for longevity. Please note the section ‘Distilled Water vs Tap Water’ below. Anytime maintenance
is required or the water needs changing, we recommend 2 persons to do this.
Distilled water vs tap water : Whilst this product has been designed to work well with tap water, the product
will need higher maintenance due to algae and the water becoming cloudy. The water will need changing
every few months whereas using distilled water, the water will stay cleaner for longer.
Cleaning : If you have not changed the water for some time algae can build up. You need to check your water
often, if it stars to change colour and/or look darker it is time to change the water. If algae builds up around
the jets this will prevent bubbles from producing. To clean you will need to use warm water and a mild
detergent (not one that creates soapy bubbles) you will need to empty the acrylic tube, add around 2 liters of
warm water and a drop of mild detergent and leave to soak for an hour, rinse and possibly repeat depending
how much algae has built up. Ensure the product is rinsed with just warm water after using detergent to wash
away any access residue.
No bead movement: Is the item plugged in and switched on? Is the pump making a noise? If there is no sound
coming from the base. If the pump is not making any sound, please check the adapter, is the adapter warm?
If yes, the adapter is ok, if it’s cold it means the adapter isn’t working and you will need a replacement adapter.
Please contact product support.
Remote control not functioning: The remote control is designed to change the light colours and strobing
patterns. It will not turn off the bubbles. If the lights are on but they are not changing with the remote control,
try going a little closer to the bubble wall. If it still does not work, please change the battery. If this fails to fix
the problem, contact the manufacturer for a replacement remote. If the new remote still does not fix the
problem, the controller box may need replacing. Please contact us for further help.
