CONTENTS EXTREMELY FLAMMABLE AND UNDER PRESSURE.
KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN.
GENERAL SAFETY RULES
1. Do not try to operate before reading instructions. Do not use
this torch until you understand all the instructions and cautions.
Familiarise yourself with the torch before lighting or using. Review
instructions and cautions periodically to maintain awareness.
Deviating from these procedures may result in fire, explosion, and
property damage and/or operator injury.
2. Do not point torch towards face, other persons or flammable
objects. Never attempt to use torch as a cigarette lighter.
3. The torch should never be stored attached to the bottle.
4. Never attempt to modify the torch construction and never use
unapproved fuel or accessories.
5. Treat the torch as you would any fine tool or instrument. Do not drop
or otherwise abuse.
6. Do not use a leaking, damaged or malfunctioning torch, do not
use the torch until you correct the problem. Torches improperly
operated, maintained or repaired can be dangerous. Improper use,
service, repair, or modification of the torch could result in damage
to the product, property damage or personal injury to the operator.
Increases chance of bottle explosion.
7. Work only in well ventilated areas.
8. Avoid contact of flux with skin or eyes. Avoid the fumes from fluxes,
lead based paint and all metal heating operations. They may emit
dangerous flames when heated with a torch. Breathing these flames
is hazardous to your health. Be especially careful to avoid fumes
from cadmium plating and galvanized metal – remove these coatings
in the area to be heated by filing or sanding prior to heating.
9. Always place your work on firebrick. Ordinary brick and concrete
can explode when subjected to high temperatures. DO NOT work on
wood or metal surfaces. Always shield your work.
10. Always wear protective gloves and use proper tools to handle hot
work.
11. Be aware that the tip of the torch can get extremely hot during use.
Take precautions to protect yourself and others from accidental
burns. Never use the torch on or near combustibles. Be especially
careful around motor vehicles or any gasoline – powered products
and beware of hidden fuel lines and tanks.
12. Always make certain the torch is placed on a level surface when
connected to the gas cylinder to reduce the risk of accidental tip
over. Be sure torch is not pointed in a direction that would cause
nearby objects to ignite when torch is set down.
13. When thawing pipes, be very careful not to overheat surrounding
materials.
14. Always have a fire extinguisher and a bucket of water near the torch
and work area. Do not place them in the flame path or in a location
where you could not reach them should a fire break out.

DANGER
EXTREMELY FLAMMABLE CONTENTS UNDER PRESSURE. Keep out of
reach of children. Keep away from heat or flame. It is illegal and dangerous
to refill the gas cylinder. Obtain new gas cylinder from your dealer. Avoid
prolonged exposure to sunlight. Do not store near heat or in a room used
for habitation. Always close torch valve and wait at least 30 seconds
before removing torch from gas cylinder. Always detach gas cylinder from
torch when not in use. Do not breath gas, fumes, vapor or spray. If inhaled
removed aected person to fresh air. Always avoid contact with skin and
eyes. For skin contact, flush with large amounts of water. In case of contact
with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice.
When gas cylinder is empty, discard in a safe place. Do not throw in fire. Do
not puncture or incinerate container.
TEMPERATURE ADJUSTMENT - ALL MODELS
For hottest, most eicient flame, adjust inner blue flame of burner to
1-1/2” to 2” in length .
OPERATION AND LIGHTING
Torch should be directed in a safe direction away from people and objects.
Use only MaxxGASS or Propane fuel with the torch. Use of any other fuel
may damage your torch and may cause serious harm. Make sure the on/o
adjustment knob is in “o” position when installing a gas cylinder.
With valve open and without lighting, test all connections for leaks with
soapy water at the torch and gas cylinder connection. Check all joints
and couplings periodically to insure against loose connections. If a leak is
detected, replace the gas cylinder and check for leaks again. If leaking still
occurs the torch MUST NOT be used.
DO NOT ATTACH OR DETACH TORCH WHERE OPEN FLAMES CAN IGNITE
ACCIDENTALLY RELEASED GAS.
Crossed threads may result in the sudden escape of extremely flammable
gas. Do not use torch with a cylinder tipped more than 60 degrees from the
upright position as this may cause the torch to flare.
Assembling components:
1. Before installing the hand torch to the cylinder make sure the flame
control valve is in the fully closed position (DO NOT FORCE) and the
sealing ring is in place.
2. Slide the lock button to the unlock position.
3. Slowly turn the flame control valve counter clockwise 3-4 turns while
holding the torch. Light the torch by slowly pressing and holding the
ignition trigger (repeat if necessary).
4. To obtain proper flame, turn the flame control valve clockwise. To
avoid overheating the tip end, hold the torch a proper distance to
object.
5. Push down the lock button to lock the ignition trigger for continuous
operation.
Shutting down equipment:
1. Release the ignition trigger and close the flame control valve to
extinguish the flame and wait for the tip to cool down.
2. Disconnect hand torch from cylinder by turning the cylinder counter
clockwise while holding the hand torch body.
3. Store the cylinder in compliance with state or local regulations. Read
the printed instruction warning on the cylinder for storage. Keep
equipment away from children.
CAUTION
ALLOW TIP TO SUFFICIENTLY COOL BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO SWIVEL
OR REMOVE THE TIP ASSEMBLY. TIP MAY BE EXTREMELY HOT AND
TOUCHING THE TIP MAY RESULT IN BODILY HARM OR PROPERTY
DAMAGE IF TOUCHED.
