QUICK GUIDE
Information
Please refer to the complete “user’s guide” on the installation disc to guide you
through any question you may have while using the NVR.
Install a Hard Disk
Attention
Please make sure the following items are ready before you proceed:
3.5” hard disk
Screwdriver with Philips tip
For XPRESS series
1. Remove the screws securing the cover of the device.
2. Remove the cover of the device.
3. Connect the SATAdata cable and the power cable to the hard disk.
4. Place the hard disk into the hard disk bracket.
5. Mount the hard disk to the hard disk bracket using the provided screws.
6. Put the cover back on the device and then tighten the screws.

For XPERT series
1. Remove the screws securing the cover of the device.
2. Remove the cover of the device.
3. Remove the screws securing the hard disk bracket (A) and take it out.
4. Connect the SATAdata cable and the power cable labeled HDD2 to one hard disk.
5. Place this hard disk 2 at the bottom against the remaining hard disk bracket.
6. Put the hard disk bracket (A) back to its place and tighten the screws.
7. Connect the SATAdata cable and the power cable labeled HDD1 to the other hard disk.
8. Place this hard disk 1 into the hard disk bracket.
9 Mount the two hard disks to the hard disk brackets using the provided screws.
10. Put the cover back on the device and then tighten the screws.

Setup the NVR System
To set up the NVR system in your LAN environment:
Attention
Please properly configure the IP addresses of the NVR and the IP cameras
before connecting to the Switch. For example, assuming the NVR’s IP address is
192.168.10.1, an IP camera’s address should range from 192.168.10.2~240.
1. Connect IP cameras to the Switch’s LAN port.
2. Plug the RJ-45 connectors into the NVR’s LAN port and the Switch’s LAN port.
3. Plug the AC adapter into the DC-Jack of the NVR. Plug the other end of the power cable into a
standard AC power outlet. After the NVR has booted, it will beep three times and the HDD
indicator will blink slowly to indicate that the hard disk has not yet been formatted for use.
Note: If no hard disk is installed when the NVR is powered on, the NVR will beep every 10
seconds and the HDD indicator will blink slowly.
4. Press and hold the “Multi-function” button on the front panel of the device for 3 seconds to begin
the fully automatic setup of the NVR. The hard disk will be formatted first. The HDD indicator will
blink quickly to indicate that the hard disk format is in process.
5. The NVR will beep twice when the format process is finished and the status indicator will blink
quickly. The NVR will now add all available IP-cameras in your network to the NVR
automatically. When the cameras are added, the NVR will reboot, indicated by a long beep.
Note: The IP-cameras need to be in their factory default configuration for automatic setup to
work.
6. Connect a PC or Laptop to the Switch’s LAN port.
7. Insert the Installation CD, included with your NVR, into your CD-ROM drive.

8. Double click the “vcredist_x86.exe” file in your language on the CD-ROM to install the “Microsoft
Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistributable Package (x86)”. Attention: If you are running on
Windows XP / 8, you must install this patch before you can start monitoring. Otherwise please
proceed with the next step.
9. Run the “Network Device Search Tool” application on the CD-ROM to search for NVRs.
10. Your NVR works properly when the NVR appears in the Network Device Search Tool window.
11. Double-click on your NVR. The NVR’s login page should be opened automatically. Enter the
NVR’s “Username” and “Password” and change the “Language” if necessary, then click on the
“Login” button to log in to the NVR. The “admin” and “admin” are the default user name and
password for your first login of the NVR as Administrator. If you are prompted to install an
element required to view the live view page of the NVR, please follow the on-screen instructions
to install the element.

Easy Accessibility with EasyLink and UDID1
The EasyLink program allows you to easily connect to your NVR from any computer using the
NVR’s Unique Device Identification (UDID).
How to obtain the UDID
Method I –by using a USB drive
1. Connect a USB drive to the NVR.
2. Press the “Multi-function” button.
3. The NVR will beep and copy the files required to establish a connection via EasyLink to the USB
drive (including a .bmp file containing a QR-code image with the UDID).
4. The NVR will beep twice to indicate that the files have been copied successfully. Please wait 5
seconds before removing the USB drive from the NVR.
Method II –by using a mobile device
1. Scan the QR-code on the side of the device with your mobile device to obtain the 20-digit UDID.
Note: An application capable of scanning QR-codes is required.

Method III –by using a computer
1. Log in to your NVR using the IP address of the NVR and open the “Setup” > “System” > “Status”
page. The UDID will be listed there.
2. Write down the UDID.
Connect to your NVR from any computer using EasyLink and UDID2
1. Visit our website to download the EasyLink setup program or insert the installation CD into your
CD-ROM drive. Launch the setup program to install the EasyLink program. If you used the USB
drive method to obtain the UDID, connect it to your computer.
2. Launch the EasyLink program from the shortcut from your desktop. If you used the USB drive
method to obtain the UDID, launch the EasyLink.exe file on your USB drive. If you are prompted
to allow the program through the Windows Firewall, please click on the “Allow access” button to
allow it.
3. Enter the 20-digit UDID into the UDID field. If you used the USB drive method described earlier,
the UDID will be loaded automatically. Enter the HTTP port number if needed. The default port
number is 80.
4. Click on the “Create Tunnel” button.
5. Click on the “Connect” button. The NVR’s login window will open in your default web browser.
6. Enter the NVR’s “Username” and “Password” and change the “Language” if necessary, then
click on the “Login” button to log in to the NVR.
Attention
The connection dialog of the EasyLink program has to be kept open when
using this method to connect to your NVR. If you accidently close the
EasyLink program, just launch it again and click on the “Create Tunnel” button
to continue using your NVR.
If the NVR system times out due to inactivity, you need to close and re-launch
the EasyLink program. Then click on the “Create Tunnel” button to continue
using your NVR.
When you are done using the NVR, click on the “LogOut” button on the NVR
homepage, then click on the “Close” and “Exit” button in the EasyLink
program.

6. Setzen Sie die Festplattenhalterung (A) zurück und ziehen Sie die Schrauben an.
7. Verbinden Sie das mit HDD1 gekennzeichnete SATA-Datenkabel und das Stromkabel mit der
anderen Festplatte.
8. Legen Sie diese Festplatte 1 in die Festplattenhalterung.
9. Montieren Sie die 2 Festplatten mittels den mitgelieferten Schrauben an die
Festplattenhalterungen.
10. Legen Sie dieAbdeckung zurück auf das Gerät und ziehen Sie die Schrauben an.

Anschließen des NVR-Systems
So schließen Sie das NVR-System an Ihre Netzwerkumgebung an:
Achtung
Bitte konfigurieren Sie die IP-Adressen des NVRs und der IP-Kameras, bevor Sie
diese mit dem Switch verbinden. Angenommen die IP-Adresse des NVRs ist
192.168.10.1, dann sollten die IP-Adressen der IP-Kameras im Bereich
192.168.10.2~240 liegen.
1. Verbinden Sie IP-Kameras mit den LAN-Anschlüssen Ihres Switches.
2. Verbinden Sie über ein Netzwerkkabel den LAN-Anschluss des NVRs port mit einem
LAN-Anschluss Ihres Switches.
3. Verbinden Sie das Netzteil des NVR mit dem Stromanschluss am NVR. Schließen Sie das
andere Ende des Netzteil an eine Standard-Wechselstromsteckdose. Nachdem der NVR
hochgefahren ist, wird er dreimal piepen und der Festplattenindikator wird langsam blinken, um
zu signalisieren, dass die Festplatte noch nicht zur Verwendung formatiert wurde.

Installer le système de NVR
Pour installer le système de NVR dans votre environnement LAN:
Attention
Faites bien attention à configurer correctement les adresses IP du NVR et des
caméras IP avant de les connecter au switch. Par exemple, si l'adresse IP du
NVR est 192.168.10.1, une adresse de caméra IP devrait se trouver entre
192.168.10.2 à 240.
1. Branchez les caméras IP au port LAN du switch.
2. Branchez les connecteurs RJ-45 sur le port LAN du NVR et le port LAN du switch.
3. Branchez l'adaptateur à la prise C.C-Jack du NVR. Brancher l'autre extrémité du câble
électrique à une prise de Courant Alt. mural standard. Une fois le NVR démarré, il émettra un
bip trois fois et le voyant HDD clignotera lentement pour indiquer que le disque dur n'a pas
encore été formaté pour utilisation.

Méthode II : avec un appareil mobile
1. Scannez le code QR du côté de l'appareil avec votre appareil mobile pour obtenir l'UDID à 20
chiffres.
Remarque : Une application capable de scanner les codes QR est requise.
Méthode III : avec un ordinateur
1. Connectez-vous à votre NVR avec l'adresse IP du NVR et ouvrez la page « Configuration » >
« Système » > « État ». L'UDID y sera répertorié.
2. Notez l'UDID.
Vous connecter à votre NVR depuis n'importe quel ordinateur avec
EasyLink et l'UDID6
1. Visitez notre site Web pour télécharger le programme d'installation d'EasyLink ou insérez le CD
d'installation dans votre lecteur de CD-ROM. Lancez le programme de configuration pour
installer le programme EasyLink. Si vous avez utilisé la méthode de la clé USB pour obtenir
l'UDID, branchez-la à votre ordinateur.
2. Lancez le programme EasyLink depuis le raccourci de votre bureau. Si vous avez utilisé la
méthode de la clé USB pour obtenir l'UDID, lancez le fichier EasyLink.exe de votre clé USB. S'il
vous est demandé d'autoriser le programme pour le pare-feu Windows, cliquez sur le bouton
« Autoriser l'accès » pour le faire.
3. Saisissez l'UDID à 20 chiffres dans le champ UDID. Si vous avez utilisé la méthode de la clé
USB décrite plus tôt, l'UDID sera chargé automatiquement. Entrez dans le port de HTTP si
nécessaire. Le port par défaut est 80.
4. Cliquez sur le bouton « Create Tunnel ».
5. Cliquez sur le bouton « Connect ». La fenêtre de connexion du NVR s'ouvrira dans votre
navigateur Web par défaut.
6. Saisissez le « Nom d’utilisateur » et le « Mot de passe » du NVR, modifiez la « Langue » si
nécessaire, puis cliquez sur le bouton de « Connexion » pour vous connecter au NVR.
Attention
La fenêtre de connexion du programme EasyLink doit être laissée ouverte
lorsque vous utilisez cette méthode pour vous connecter à votre NVR. Si vous
fermez accidentellement le programme EasyLink, lancez-le à nouveau et
cliquez sur le bouton « Create Tunnel » pour continuer à utiliser votre NVR.
Si le système NVR expire en raison d'une inactivité, vous devez fermer et
relancer le programme EasyLink. Cliquez ensuite sur le bouton « Create
Tunnel » pour continuer à utiliser votre NVR.
Lorsque vous avez fini d'utiliser le NVR, cliquez sur le bouton
« Déconnexion » sur la page d'accueil du NVR et cliquez sur le bouton
« Close » et « Exit » dans le programme EasyLink.

1. デバイスのカバーを固定しているネジを外します。
2. 装置のカバーを取り外します。
3. SATA データおよび電源ケーブルをハードディスクに接続します。
4. ハードディスクをハードディスクブラケットに入れます。
5. ハードディスクを付属のネジでハードディスクブラケットに固定します。
6. デバイスのカバーを戻してからネジで固定します。

1. デバイスのカバーを固定しているネジを外します。
2. 装置のカバーを取り外します。
3. ハードディスクブラケット(A)を固定しているネジを緩めて取り出します。
4. SATA データケーブルおよび HDD2 というラベルの付いた電源ケーブルをハードディスクに接続しま
す。
5. このハードディスク 2を、残りのハードディスクブラケットの底部に設置します。
6. ハードディスクブラケット(A)を元に戻してネジで固定します。
7. SATA データケーブルおよび HDD1 というラベルの付いた電源ケーブルをハードディスクに接続しま
す。
8. このハードディスク 1をハードディスクブラケットに設置します。
9 2 台のハードディスクを、付属のネジでハードディスクブラケットに固定します。
10. デバイスのカバーを戻してからネジで固定します。
