Safety Tips
• Position on a flat, stable surface.
• A service agent/qualified technician should carry out
installation and any repairs if required. Do not remove any
components on this product.
• Consult Local and National Standards to comply with the
following:
- Health and Safety at Work Legislation
- BS EN Codes of Practice
- Fire Precautions
- IEE Wiring Regulations
- Building Regulations
• DO NOT immerse the appliance in water.
• DO NOT obstruct or cover the appliance in any way when in
use.
• DO NOT insert any objects into the openings.
• DO NOT put items on the top of the appliance.
• The appliance should not come into contact or be covered with
easily flammable materials, like curtains, textiles, walls and
the like. Always ensure sufficient safety distance to flammable
materials.
• Protect the appliance against heat, direct sunlight, moisture,
dripping and splashing water.
• To avoid fire hazard, never let the power cord lay under rugs,
carpets, etc.
• Always switch off and disconnect the power supply to the
appliance when not in use, before cleaning or performing
maintenance.
• Suitable for indoor use only.

• Keep all packaging away from children. Dispose of the
packaging in accordance to the regulations of local authorities.
• DO NOT use if damaged.
• If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by a POLAR
agent or a recommended qualified technician in order to avoid
a hazard.
• This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and
above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have
been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the
appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
• Children shall not play with the appliance.
• Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children
without supervision.
• POLAR recommends that this appliance should be periodically
tested (at least annually) by a Competent Person. Testing
should include, but not be limited to: Visual Inspection,
Polarity Test, Insulation Continuity and Functional Testing.
• Never use accessories which are not recommended by the
manufacturer. They could pose a safety risk to the user and
might damage the appliance. Only use original parts and
accessories.
• POLAR recommend that this product is connected to a circuit
protected by an appropriate RCD (Residual Current Device).
Introduction
Please take a few moments to carefully read through this manual. Correct maintenance and operation of
this machine will provide the best possible performance from your POLAR product.
The air purifier can remove up to 99.97% of airborne allergens as small as 0.3 microns, including
ragweed pollen, grass pollen, tree pollen, household dust, dust mite debris, pet dander, smoke and odour,
etc.

The following is included:

POLAR prides itself on quality and service, ensuring that at the time of packaging the contents are
supplied fully functional and free of damage.
Should you find any damage as a result of transit, please contact your POLAR dealer immediately.
Installation
1. Remove the appliance from the packaging. Make sure that all protective plastic film and coatings are
thoroughly removed from all surfaces.
2. Maintain a distance of 20cm (7 inches) between the unit and walls or other objects for ventilation.

Operation
Note: Before first time use, ensure to
remove the HEPA filter from the appliance.
Then remove all protective films/bag from
it. For details, please refer to section “Filter
Cleaning/replacement”.
1. Connect the appliance to the mains power
supply.
2. Turning on: Press the ON/OFF button. The
appliance beeps once and the display shows
“PM2.5”. Meanwhile, the light ring illuminates
in relative colour to indicate the real-time air
quality.
3. The appliance starts to work at the AUTO
speed (Default setting). There are 5 speed
settings in total: Speed 1, Speed 2, Speed
3, Speed 4, AUTO. Press the “SPEED/AUTO”
button to select the desired speed. Then the
relative speed icon will appear on the display.
The faster the speed setting the faster the air
will be purified.
4. After use, press ON/OFF button to turn the
appliance off.
Timer
With the timer function, you can use the appliance
for a desired period of time.
Timer options: 2h, 4h, 6h, 8h
• Press the “TIMER” button to select the desired
timer setting. The relative timer icon will
appear on the display.
• When the set timer expires, the appliance will
turn off automatically.
Note: To cancel the timer at any time, press
the “TIMER” button repeatedly until all timer
icons disappear from the display.
Ionizer
Featured with an independent ionizer, when
turned on, the appliance will release negative ions
into outgoing filtered air to help facilitate the air
purification.
• To activate, press the “IONIZER” button once.
The ionizer icon will appear on the display.
• To deactivate, press the “IONIZER” button
again.
UV function
The optional UV-C technology kills germs, viruses,
and bacteria by penetrating its DNA, resulting
in the microorganism’s death or the inability to
reproduce.
• To activate, press the “UV” button once. “UV”
will appear on the display.
• To deactivate, press the “UV” button again.
Sleep
With the sleep function The purifier switches to a
lower activity level, the fan speed and noise level
are reduced.
• To activate, press the “SLEEP/LOCK” button
once. The appliance will enter Sleep mode.
• To deactivate, press the “SLEEP/LOCK” button
again.
Safety lock
With the safety lock function, the appliance’s
control panel can be protected from unintentional/
accidental touch.
• To lock the control panel, press and hold the
“SLEEP/LOCK” button for 3 seconds. The lock
icon will appear on the display.
• To unlock, press and hold the “SLEEP/LOCK”
button for 3 seconds again.
Night light
• To activate, press the “NIGHT LIGHT” button
once.
• Both the display and the light ring will stop
illuminating, with only a “-” being shown in the
middle part of the display.
• To deactivate, press the “NIGHT LIGHT” button
again.
Light ring: Air quality indicator
The light ring will illuminate in different colour to
indicate the real-time PM2.5 value and air quality.

Cleaning, Care & Maintenance
• Switch off and disconnect the appliance from the power supply before cleaning and
maintenance.
• Clean the external surface using a damp cloth. Always wipe dry after cleaning.
• DO NOT allow any moisture to enter the interior via any air inlet/outlet.
• The filtered air outlet and the filter cover can be cleaned with a small, soft brush.
• The appliance contains no user serviceable parts. A POLAR dealer or qualified technician should carry
out repairs if required.

When... When the appliance has been working for
up to 360 hours accumulatively, the
“PRE-FILTER” icon will light up in red to
remind the user to clean the filter.
When the appliance has been working for
up to 2160 hours accumulatively, the “HEPA
RE-SET” icon will light up in red to remind
the user to replace the filter (Replacement
filter code: AK932).
How... 1. Press the tab of the filter cover. Then remove the filter cover and HEPA filter.

2. Clean the pre-filter (exterior layer of
HEPA filter) with a soft brush. NEVER
ATTEMPT TO WASH IT!
3. Re-locate the HEPA filter and filter
cover.
4. Restart the appliance and press the
“PRE-FILTER” button for 3 seconds.
The relative icon will disappear from
the display.
2. Discard the old HEPA filter properly.
NEVER ATTEMPT TO CLEAN IT!
Then install a new filter in place.
3. Re-locate the filter cover.
4. Restart the appliance and press the
“HEPA RE-SET” button for 3 seconds.
The relative icon will disappear from
the display.
Lamp replacement (Replacement Lamp code: AK933)
When the appliance has been working for up to 7300 hours
accumulatively, “UV” will light up in blue constantly to remind the
user to replace the lamp.
To replace the lamp:
• Remove the HEPA filter as instructed above.
• Remove the screws that are fixing the lamp compartment cover,
then remove the cover.
• Install a new lamp.
• Re-locate the cover.

Electrical Wiring
This appliance is supplied with a 3 pin BS1363 plug and lead.
The plug is to be connected to a suitable mains socket.
This appliance is wired as follows:
• Live wire (coloured brown) to terminal marked L
• Neutral wire (coloured blue) to terminal marked N
If in doubt consult a qualified electrician.
Electrical isolation points must be kept clear of any obstructions. In the event of any emergency
disconnection being required they must be readily accessible.
