Sicherheitshinweise
Vor Inbetriebnahme des Gerätes bitte unbe-
dingt folgende Sicherheitsbestimmungen le-
sen!
Wichtig: Das Öffnen des Gerätes sollte nur von
Fachpersonal durchgeführt werden. Vor Beginn
der Servicearbeiten das Gerät von der Span-
nungsversorgung trennen, da beim Öffnen des
Gehäuses spannungsführende Teile freigelegt
werden, die bei Berührung lebensgefährlich sein
können.
ACHTUNG Diese Baugruppe enthält
ESD-Bauteile!
ESD-Schutzmaßnahmen beachten!
Umgebungstemperatur Die Umgebungstem-
peratur darf den Bereich von 0 °C bis +50 °C
nicht überschreiten.
Netzanschluss und Netzkabel
Bei Geräten mit der Netzteil-Schutzklasse I
muss der gelb/grüne Leiter mit dem
Steckeranschluss "E" oder verbunden werden.
Der blaue Leiter muss mit dem Anschluss "N"
und der braune Leiter mit dem Anschluss "L"
verbunden werden. Geräte die mit einer Fern-
speise-Stromversorgung arbeiten, dürfen auf
keinen Fall an 230 V~ angeschlossen werden,
sonst besteht Lebensgefahr!
Bei Geräten mit der Netzteil-Schutzklasse II
muss das Gehäuse des Gerätes an der in der
Bedienungsanleitung angegebenen Stelle geer-
det werden. Der Schutzleiter ist in diesem Fall
nicht angeschlossen.
Erdung der Anlage
Nach den EN 50 083 / VDE 0855 Bestimmun-
gen muss die Antennenanlage den Sicherheits-
bestimmungen wie z.B. Erdung, Potenzialaus-
gleich, etc. entsprechen.
Bedingungen zur Sicherstellung der
elektromagnetischen Verträglichkeit (EMV)
Alle Abdeckungen und Schrauben müssen fest
montiert und angezogen sein, Kontaktfedern
dürfen nicht oxidiert oder verbogen sein.
Safety instructions
Before taking the unit into operation please
read the following safety precautions care-
fully!
Important: The unit should only be opened by
qualified persons. The unit must be discon-
nected from its power supply before service
work is carried out. When the unit is open parts
may be accessible through which dangerous
voltages flow and with which contact may en-
danger your life.
ATTENTION
This unit is equipped with ESD-components!
Take protective measures against static dis-
charge!
Ambient temperature The ambient tempera-
ture should not exceed a range of 0 °C to
+50 °C (32 °F to 122 °F).
Mains connection and mains cable
By units with the power supply safety class I, the
wire which is coloured green/yellow must be
connected to the termi- nal in the plug
marked with the letter "E" or by the earth symbol
.The blue coloured wire must be connected to
the terminal marked "N" and the brown coloured
wire to the terminal marked "L". Units which op-
erate with a remote feeding supply may not be
connected to 230 VAC. To do so will endanger
your life!
At units with the power supply safety class II,
the housing of the unit must be connected to
ground at the place indicated in the operating
instructions of the unit. The ground terminal of
the plug is in the case not connected.
Grounding of system
According to EN 50 083 / VDE 0855 regulations,
the antenna system must comply with the safety
regulations e.g. grounding, potential equaliza-
tion etc.
Precautions to ensure the electromagnetic
compatibility (EMV)
All covers and screws must tightly be fitted and
should be tightly fastened. Contact feathers
should not be oxidized or deformed.

Vorsicht!
Bei der Installation des LWL-Eingangs nicht in
den Laser sehen, es besteht Verletzungsgefahr
für die Augen.
ACHTUNG!
1)Nach Öffnen des Gehäuses nicht den opti-
schen Wandler öffnen um Verschmutzung
oder Zerkratzen des SC/APC-Steckers zu
vermeiden.
2)Der optische Eingangspegel sollte nicht höher
als 2 mW (3 dBm) sein, andernfalls wird das
optische Modul beschädigt.
3)Das Gerät sollte an gut belüfteter Stelle mon-
tiert sein.
4)Das Gerät muss vor abnormalem Druck ge-
schützt sein.
Caution!
When you install the optical input avoid contact
with the eyes to the laser, so they can not be
harmed.
ATTENTION!
1)After opening the unit please do not open the
optical adapter converter to avoid pollution
and scratching of the SC/APC connector.
2)Input of optical power should not be higher
than 2 mW (3dBm), otherwise the optical
modules will be damaged.
3)The unit should be placed on indoor ventilated
places.
4)The unit must be protected against abnormal
pressure

Der OMI Wert kann - bei Bedarf - unter
Beobachtung der SNR und/oder MER
Werte im AGC-Menü verändert werden.
Liegt die Gewichtung auf bessere SNR
Werte, so muss der OMI-Wert erhöht
werden. Bessere MER Werte erzielt man
durch Reduktion des OMI Indexes.

The OMI value can be changed - if nec-
essary – by controlling the SNR and/or
MER values
If the SNR-value is more important, than
the OMI-value can be increased. For a
better MER, the OMI index should be de-
creased.

Der Testausgang 6 dient zur reinen
Funktionskontrolle ob am Eingang ein
HF-Signal anliegt. Verlässliche Werte
zum einpegeln oder dokumentieren kön-
nen hier nicht gemessen werden.
Die Signalqualität kann an diesem Test-
ausgang nicht beurteilt werden.
Messungen die sich auf die Signalqualität
des optischen Senders, oder auf die dar-
an angeschlossene optische Strecke be-
ziehen, können nur über einen optischen
Empfänger (ON165) durchgeführt wer-
den.
Der HF-Pegelsteller 7 dient erfahrenen
Nutzern zur Feinabstimmung des Ein-
gangssignales und somit zur Optimierung
der SNR - bzw. MER Werte.
Messungen:
The test output 6 allows a simple test if
there is a RF signal at the input. The
measured parameters are not reliable
and can’t be used for adjustment or doc-
umentation.
The signal quality can’t be tested reliable
at this test output.
Measurements related to the signal qual-
ity of the optical transmitter or the con-
nected optical distribution system can on-
ly be done with the optical receiver (ON
165).
The RF attenuator 7 can be used for
fine tuning of the input signal and for
SNR and MER values optimization.
