User Manual
Model No: PN160
Thank you for purchasing the Temperature Controller by Poniie. Please read
this manual carefully before using this product.

PN160 is an easy-to-use, safe and reliable dual relay output temperature controller.
The multifunctional thermostat can be used in many areas in our daily life. It is perfect
to be used as over temperature protection or automatic temperature control system for
various tasks. Such as Sous-vide, Home-brew & Fermentation, Kegerator, Aquarium
heat control, Breeding & Incubation, Germination & Seedling Heat Mat etc.
Warning
To avoid electric shock or personal injury, read the “Safety Information”
carefully before using the Thermostat.
1. DO NOT use the device on anything that could possibly have a rating and
start-up amp greater than required (see Technical Specifications part).
Note: Induction motors such as air conditioners, refrigerators, space heater,
freezers and pumps may have a start-up amp of 2 to 8 times the continuous rating.
2. DO NOT dismantle the device without authorization to avoid unexpected
accident.
3. DO NOT operate the controller around explosive gas, vapor or dust.
4. DO NOT allow children to operate this device, keep children stay away
from the controller.

5. DO NOT use or store the device in an environment of high temperature,
humidity, explosive or inflammable field.
6. NOTE: If the output relays are used over their life expectancy, contact
fusing or burning may occasionally occur. Please always consider the
application conditions and use the output relays within their rated load.

Enter Setup Mode:
Press and hold “SET” key over 3 seconds to enter (or quit) parameters setup
mode, menu code will be displayed in flashing status. Short press “▲” or “▼”
the first time to show the default (last time) setting value. Press “SET” key to
cycle through all the setting menu.
Note:
1) Press and hold “▲” or “▼”can adjust the number more quickly.
2) If there is no further operation for 30 seconds, system will quit setting mode
and return to normal temperature display mode, all setting changes will be
automatically saved.

1.1 Temperature Control Range Setting (TS1, HD, TS2, CD)
For example, set TS1=77°F, HD=2°F, TS2=88°F and CD=3°F, then when
measured temperature is higher or equal to 91°F (TS2+CD) , system enters
refrigeration status; when temperature decline to 88°F(TS2), stop refrigeration;
when measured temperature is lower or equal to 75°F (TS1-HD), system enters
heating status; when the temperature raised to 77°F(TS1), stop heating.
Attentions: TS1≤TS2, if you find TS1 can’t be set any higher to 199.9 (or
TS2 can’t be set any lower to -19.9), please kindly set the TS2 value larger
(or set the TS1 smaller) first.

Note: The closer TS1 to TS2 (TS1 ≤ TS2), and the tighter differential value
the more stable the real temperature will be (more centered). Be aware of the
surge risk, especially when you set a relatively large differential value.
Note: Recommend to set TS1, TS2 close to each other to obtain a safe
controlled temperature range, because there will be no heat or cool device
working when temperature is in range TS1~TS2.
Note: Temperature may over TS1-HD~TS2+CD, large HD or CD value may
causea largetemperature surge, please always set aproper differentialvalue.
1.2 Compressor Delay (PT)
Under refrigeration mode, it will keep the refrigerating compressor off
between cycles to protect your compressor. That means compressor won't start
refrigeration immediately, but waiting for a delay time if it falls into the PT
time frame. Delay time will be calculated right after the refrigeration stops.
1.3 Temperature Calibration (CA)
When there is deviation between measured and actual temperature, use
calibration function to align the temperature.
A. Temperature won’t set above xx.x °F. Should go to 199.9 degrees.
Please kindly know that TS1≤TS2, if you find TS1 cannot be set any higher,
please kindly set the TS2 value larger first. And vice versa for TS2.
B. Alarm sound is on, what’s happening?
First check if the temperature is over the High or Low alarm limit. Then check the
sensor to see if it works right. Buzzer alarm could be dismissed by pressing any key.
