Introduction
About the Portsmith portDox GNT Charging Dock
The Portsmith portDox GNT for Samsung Tablets (PSP5GNT, PSP3GNT, PSP2GNT) is a sophisticated
system specifically designed as a docking station and charging source for a Samsung Galaxy Tablets
when used without a protective cover. The portDox GNT allows the Galaxy Tablet to interface to power
via the micro B USB port on the tablet. (The portDox GNT can be configured with a tablet with a
protective cover as long as the micro USB charging port is accessible.)
A tablet with a completely discharged battery will take 4 –7 hours (depending on model) to fully charge
if the tablet remains powered off. However, the tablet may be charged either powered on or off.

Using the portDox Charging Dock
1) Attach the DC power supply to the dock and connect the line cord to the power supply and an AC

indicating power is applied.
2) With the Status LEDs facing toward you, insert tablets into the slots in the dock with screens facing
to left. Do not attempt to place the tablets in the slot other than indicated as it may damage the
micro USB connector on the dock or tablet.
3) Within 3 seconds, the respective port’s LED will indicate the charging status of the tablet.
GREEN –Tablet is charged (typically 99-100%)
AMBER –Tablet is charging (occurs if tablet is less than 97% charged)
RED Flash –Failure on the port. Tablet is drawing excessive current. Remove the tablet and
