PW45 Ear Muff
Instructions for Use
1. With the headband over-the-head, pull the ear-cups down to fully enclose
the ears. The two halves of the headband may be slid apart or together to
adjust for a snug, comfortable fit, that provides ma imum quiet.
This will result when the cushions e ert equal pressure around the ears.
2. Best performance will be obtained when the cushions seat tightly against
the head. Pull hair back and out from underneath the cushions as much as
practical. Eyeglass temples should fit close to the head and be as thin as
possible (items such as pencils should not be stored under the cushions).
3. Turn the ON/OFF volume control to the ON position. The LED will indicate
that the circuitry is on.
4. Adjust the volume until hearing is at a normal or comfortable level.
5. 2 AA batteries are required.

Caution: The Ear Muff must be properly fitted to attenuate noise effectively.
Bending or reshaping the headband will cause a loose fit and allow noise to
leak in under the earmuff.
Recommendation: The user of PW45 Ear Muff should always ensure:
1) the ear-muff are fitted, adjusted and maintained in accordance with our
instructions.
2) the ear-muff are worn at all times in noisy surroundings.
3) the ear-muff are regularly inspected for serviceability.
4) store the ear-muff in a poly-bag and away from heat sources and humidity.
5) PW45 will operate within a temperature range of -10℃ to 40℃ and within
a relative humidity range of 0% to 98%, it can not be submerged.
Care and Cleaning
1. Sponge clean with warm soapy water. Rinse thoroughly. Do not use
alcohol or solvents. The foam liner should be allowed to air dry before
reinserting into the ear-cups.
Battery installation or replacement:

1. Turn the ON/OFF volume control to the OFF position.
2. Use a coin or screwdriver to pry the ear cushion away from the cup.
(Provides a slot at the bottom of the cup with ON/OFF volume control)
3. Remove the baffle foam.
4. Remove the discharged batteries.
5. Insert new batteries, making sure that + & - are aligned according to + & -
signs on the inner plastic-plate.
6. Restore the baffle foam.
7. Install the ear cushion by engaging the top edge first and pressing in at
the bottom until it snaps into place.
1) This ear-muff is provided with level-dependent attenuation. The wear
should check correct operation before use. If distortion or failure is detected,
the wearer should refer to the manufacturers advice for maintenance and
replacement of the battery.
2) Warning-performance may deteriorate with battery usage. The typical
period of continuous use that can be e pected from the ear-muff battery is
600 hours (alkaline battery).
3) Warning – The output of the level-dependent circuit of this hearing
protector may e ceed the e ternal sound level.
