INTRODUCTION
The Portable 12V Air Compressor is powered by a 12 volt vehicle power outlet.
The compressor has adapters for all your inating needs. Inates a standard 15
in. tire in 10 minutes. The compressor has a built-in pressure gauge.

WORK AREA
1. Operate in a safe work environment. Keep your work area clean, well-lit
and free of distractions. Place lights so you are not working in a shadow.
2. Keep anyone not wearing the appropriate safety equipment away from
the work area.
3. Store unused tools properly in a dry, safe and secure location to prevent
rust, damage or misuse.
4. Do not install or use in the presence of ammable gases, dust or liquids.
PERSONAL SAFETY
WARNING! Wear personal protective equipment approved by the
Canadian Standards Association (CSA) or American National Standards
Institute (ANSI).
PERSONAL PRECAUTIONS
Control the tool, personal movement and the work environment to avoid
personal injury or damage to tool.
1. Do not operate any tool when tired or under the inuence of drugs,
alcohol or medications.
2. Keep your ngers away from the trigger/switch while carrying the tool,
attaching an air hose or an accessory. Lock the trigger/switch safety if
available.
3. Avoid unintentional starts. Make sure the ON/OFF switch is set to OFF
before connecting the air compressor to a power supply.
PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT
1. Always wear impact safety goggles that provide front and side protection
for the eyes. Eye protection equipment should comply with CSA Z94.3-07
or ANSI Z87.1 standards based on the type of work performed.
2. The tool may contain high pressure. Use safety glasses and gloves for
protection during operation. Keep hands clear of the exposed rubber
portions of the hose.

WARNING! Do not overinate an object. Overination can cause damage
and/or personal injury if the object ruptures while under pressure.
Always stay with the air compressor while in use.
1. Use the correct tool for the job. This tool was designed for a specic
function. Do not modify or alter this tool or use it for an unintended
purpose.
2. Never point the air stream or tool at any point of your body, other people
or animals. Debris and dust ejected at high speed can cause an injury.
3. Inspect the tool's air hose for cracks, fraying or other faults before each
use. Discontinue use if the air hose is damaged or hissing is heard from
the air hose or couplers. Replace the defective air hose.
4. The air compressor can overheat if used too frequently or for too long.
a. Allow the air compressor to cool for 10 minutes after each 15 minutes
of continuous operation.
b. Reduce the air compressor operating time to 7 minutes before
requiring cooling when running at more than 75 PSI.
c. Turn the air compressor o immediately if it emits abnormal
sounds or overheats. Let it cool o for minimum 30 minutes before
attempting to reuse.
5. Do not overinate objects beyond the manufacturer’s recommendations.
6. Do not disassemble or tamper with this compressor.
ELECTRICAL SAFETY
WARNING! Do not touch or handle a live tool with any part of your body
that is wet or damp. Wet skin reduces resistance to electrical current,
increasing the danger of a serious or fatal shock.
1. Do not alter any parts of the tool or accessories. All parts and accessories
are designed with built-in safety features that may be compromised if
altered.
2. Protect yourself against electric shocks when working on electrical
equipment. Avoid body contact with grounded surfaces. There is an
increased chance of electrical shock if your body is grounded.
3. Do not expose the air compressor to rain, snow, frost or any other damp
or wet conditions. Water entering a tool will increase the risk of electric
shock.

POWER CORD SAFETY
1. Insert the power cord plug directly to the power supply whenever
possible.
2. Do not operate this tool if the power cord is frayed, damaged or poorly
spliced, as an electric shock may occur, resulting in personal injury or
property damage.
3. Discontinue use if a power cord feels more than comfortably warm while
operating the tool.
4. Keep all connections dry and o the ground to reduce the risk of electric
shock. Do not touch the plug or wiring with wet hands.
5. Prevent damage to the power cord by observing the following:
a. Do not pull on the cord to disconnect the plug from an outlet.
b. Keep the cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts.
6. Position the cord so it is not stepped on, tripped over or otherwise
subjected to damage or stress.
7. Do not allow people, mobile equipment or vehicles to pass over
unprotected power cords. Position power cords away from high trac
areas.
a. Place cords in reinforced conduits or place planks on either side of
the power cord to create a protective trench.
8. Do not wrap the cord around the tool, as sharp edges may cut insulation
or cause cracks if wound too tight. Gently coil cord and either hang on a
hook or fasten with a device to keep cord together during storage.
UNPACKING
WARNING! Do not operate the tool if any part is missing. Replace
the missing part before operating. Failure to do so could result in a
malfunction and personal injury.
Remove the parts and accessories from the packaging and inspect for damage.

ASSEMBLY & INSTALLATION
The air compressor is preassembled.
OPERATION
The air compressor is capable of inating to a maximum of 250 PSI. This is
suitable for most objects requiring ination like basketballs, pool toys or car
tires. The tire gauge will show the pressure in the object being inated, not the
output pressure of the compressor.
Be careful not to overinate the object by observing the pressure level on the
tire gauge. For a vehicle or bicycle tire, consult the vehicle owner’s manual or
the tire markings for the proper pressure.
INFLATING A TIRE
Conrm the correct tire pressure before inating the tire. Vehicles will have
the tire pressure listed in the owner's manual or on a label inside the vehicle's
front driver door. You may also nd the correct pressure on the tire's sidewall
in raised number and letters,
1. Roll out the 12V cord and connect the 12V adapter to the DC outlet.
2. Push the air chuck onto the tires' valve stem and lift the lever to lock it in
place.
3. Press the compressor switch to the ON position (line). Watch the pressure
registering on the tire gauge.
4. Turn the compressor switch to the OFF position (circle) when the pressure
is equal to the tire’s pressure rating (check the tire markings before
inating).
5. Release the lever and pull the air chuck away from the tire stem. Screw
the tire's valve cap in place.
INFLATABLES OR BALLOONS
The tire pressure gauge is designed for tire pressure. Smaller objects will not
require as much air or pressure to inate. The pressure reading on the gauge
should be considered an estimated reading only. Test the object by hand to
determine if it is inated enough for your purposes.

1. Roll out the 12V cord and connect the 12V adapter to the DC outlet.
2. Push the needle or nozzle into the air chuck and ip the locking lever
down.
a. The needle is used for sports equipment and inatable toys.
b. The plastic nozzles are used to inate balloons or inatable toys.
3. Insert the appropriate adapter into the valve of the ball or toy.
4. Press the compressor switch to the ON position (line). Watch the pressure
registering on the tire gauge.
5. Turn the compressor switch to the OFF position (circle) when the pressure
is equal to the manufacturer’s recommended pressure.
6. Remove the adapter from the object, ip the air chuck's lever up and
remove the needle or nozzle from the air chuck.
7. Disconnect the 12V adaptor from the outlet and wrap the cord into the
slotted base for storage.
CARE & MAINTENANCE
1. Maintain the tool with care. A tool in good condition is ecient, easier to
control and will have fewer problems.
2. Inspect the tool components periodically. Repair or replace damaged or
worn components. Only use identical replacement parts when servicing.
3. Only use accessories intended for use with this tool. Follow instructions
for changing accessories.
4. Keep the tool handles or gripping surfaces clean and dry.
5. Maintain the tool’s labels and name plates. These carry important
information. If unreadable or missing, contact Princess Auto Ltd. for
replacements.
6. Clear the vents of any dirt, dust and debris on a regular basis to prevent
the tool from overheating.
WARNING! Only qualied service personnel should repair the tool. An
improperly repaired tool may present a hazard to the user and/or others.
REPLACING THE FUSE
The air compressor has a fuse installed in the 12V adaptor.
1. Unscrew the cap end of the 12V adapter counterclockwise until it is freed.

2. Remove the spent fuse and discard as appropriate according to local
by-laws.
3. Drop the new fuse into the opening in the 12V adapter.
4. Align the top of the fuse so it enters into the electrode in the cap.
5. Screw the cap in a clockwise direction until snug.
DISPOSAL
Recycle a tool damaged beyond repair at the appropriate facility.
Contact your local municipality for a list of disposal facilities or by-laws for
electronic devices, batteries, oil or other toxic liquids.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Visit a Princess Auto Ltd. location for a solution if the tool does not function
properly or parts are missing. If unable to do so, have a qualied technician
service the tool.
