SAFETY
IMPORTANT SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
WARNING! The warnings, cautions and instructions discussed in this instruction manual cannot cover all
possible conditions and situations that may occur. It must be understood by the operator that common sense
and caution are factors which cannot be built into this product, but must be supplied by the operator.
WARNING! Always inspect the webbing throughout its length for kinks, frays or any damage before using your
Ratchet Strap Hoist.
WARNING! This Ratchet Strap Hoist is NOT meant for lifting.
PERSONAL SAFETY
1. Dress properly, wear protective equipment. Use breathing, ear, eye, face, foot, hand and head protection.
Always wear ANSI approved impact safety goggles, which must provide both frontal and side protection.
Protect your hands with suitable gloves. Protect your head from falling objects by wearing a hard hat.
Wear ANSI approved earplugs. Protective, electrically non-conductive clothes and non-skid footwear are
recommended when working. Wear steel toed boots to prevent injury from falling objects.
2. Do not over reach; keep proper footing and balance at all times. Proper footing and balance enables better
control of the tool in unexpected situations.
3. Keep any articles of clothing, jewelry, hair etc. away from moving parts. These can be caught in moving
parts, resulting in damage to the tool and/or serious injury.
4. Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use your common sense. Do not operate any machine or tool when
you are tired, under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medications.
SPECIFIC SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
1. Inspect webbing regularly. Check for fraying, kinks, broken strands or distortion. If they appear, the webbing
should be replaced.
2. DO NOT pull webbing over or around a corner.
3. DO NOT wrap the webbing around any object and hook it back on itself.
4. Know how much load you are pulling. DO NOT OVERLOAD.
5. Never use a “cheater” pipe or other device to lengthen the handle for additional leverage. This will cause it to
bend or break thereby destroying the tool.
6. DO NOT operate the Ratchet Strap Hoist with less than three wraps of the webbing on the spindle.
7. If possible, always use an adequate sling, eyebolt or other accessory attached to the load to be pulled.
Always make sure that there is positive engagement of the Ratchet Strap hook to the load.
TOOL USE AND CARE
Use the right tool for the job. Do not attempt to force a small tool or attachment to do the work of a larger industrial
tool. The tool will perform better and more safely at the task for which it was intended. Do not modify this tool or
use for a purpose for which it was not designed.

UNPACKING
1. Carefully remove the parts and accessories from the box.
2. Make sure that all items listed in the parts lists are included.
3. Inspect the parts carefully to make sure the tool was not damaged while shipping.
4. Do not discard the packaging material until you have carefully inspected and satisfactorily operated the tool.
OPERATION
TO EXTEND WEBBING
1. Secure the hooks and pulley to a rigid anchor. Depress
the switch of the drive pawl in the position
shown as Detail A.
2. Depress the stop pawl in the direction of the arrow
at Detail B.
3. At the same time, pull the webbing until the desired
slack is obtained.
TO RAISE LOAD OR APPLY TENSION
1. Engage the drive pawl and ratchet wheel. The position of
the switch is shown as Detail A.
2. Operate the handle in the direction of the arrow as Detail B.
Each stroke of the handle will wind the webbing to pull
the load.
CAUTION! DO NOT OVERLOAD
MAINTENANCE
Check for damaged parts. Before using any tool, any part that appears to be damaged should be carefully checked
to determine that it will operate properly and perform its intended functions. Check for alignment and binding of
moving parts, for broken parts or for any other condition that may affect proper operation. Any part that is damaged
should be repaired or replaced by a qualified technician.
DISPOSING OF THE TOOL
If your tool has become damaged beyond repair, do not throw it out. Bring it to the appropriate recycling facility.

SÉCURITÉ PERSONNELLE
1. Portez des vêtements appropriés et de l’équipement de protection. Utilisez des protections pour les voies
respiratoires, les oreilles, les yeux, le visage, les pieds, les mains et la tête. Portez toujours des lunettes
de sécurité étanches approuvées par l’ANSI qui offrent une protection frontale et latérale. Protégez-vous
les mains à l’aide de gants appropriés. Protégez-vous la tête de la chute d’objets en portant un casque
de protection. Portez des bouchons d’oreille approuvés par l’ANSI. Des vêtements de protection non
conducteurs et des chaussures antidérapantes sont recommandés pour le travail. Pour éviter les blessures
dues aux chutes d’objets, portez des chaussures à embout d’acier.
2. Ne vous étirez pas trop loin; restez stable et en équilibre en tout temps. Une stabilité et un équilibre
appropriés permettent d’avoir un meilleur contrôle de l’outil en cas de situations inattendues.
3. Tenez les vêtements, les bijoux, les cheveux, etc. à l’écart des pièces mobiles. Ils peuvent se coincer dans les
pièces mobiles et ainsi endommager l’outil ou provoquer de graves blessures.
4. Restez alerte, portez attention à vos gestes et faites preuve de bon sens. N’utilisez pas d’appareil ou d’outil si
vous êtes fatigué ou sous l’effet de drogues, d’alcool ou de médicaments.
MESURES DE SÉCURITÉ SPÉCIFIQUES
1. Inspectez régulièrement la sangle. Assurez-vous de l’absence d’éraillures, de plis, de brins brisés ou de
déformations. La sangle doit être remplacée si de tels défauts sont constatés.
2. Ne passez PAS la sangle par-dessus ou autour d’un coin.
3. N’entourez PAS la sangle autour d’un objet et ne l’accrochez pas sur elle-même.
4. Il est important de connaître le poids de la charge que vous tirez. NE DÉPASSEZ PAS LA CAPACITÉ DE
CHARGE PRESCRITE.
5. N’utilisez jamais d’allonge ou d’autre dispositif conçu pour allonger la poignée et créer un effet de levier
supplémentaire. Cela pourra provoquer des plis ou des dommages et détruire l’outil.
6. N’utilisez PAS le treuil manuel avec sangle à cliquets à moins que la sangle soit entourée au moins trois fois
autour de la tige.
7. Dans la mesure du possible, utilisez toujours un anneau, un boulon à œil ou un autre accessoire convenable
fixé sur la charge à tirer. Assurez-vous toujours que le crochet de la sangle à cliquets est bien
accroché à la charge.
UTILISATION ET ENTRETIEN DE L’OUTIL
Utilisez le bon outil pour effectuer le travail. N’utilisez pas de petit outil ou de petit accessoire pour effectuer le travail
d’un outil industriel plus gros. L’outil offrira une performance et une sécurité supérieures s’il est utilisé pour une
tâche à laquelle il est destiné. Ne modifiez pas cet outil et ne l’utilisez pas à des fins auxquelles il n’a pas été conçu.

DÉBALLAGE
1. Retirez soigneusement les pièces et les accessoires de la boîte.
2. Assurez-vous que tous les articles figurant sur les listes de pièces sont inclus.
3. Inspectez les pièces attentivement pour vous assurer que l’outil n’a pas été endommagé
pendant son transport.
4. Ne jetez pas le matériel d’emballage avant d’avoir examiné attentivement l’outil et de l’avoir fait fonctionner
avec succès.
UTILISATION
POUR ALLONGER LA SANGLE
1. Fixez les crochets et la poulie à un ancrage solide.
Enfoncez l’interrupteur du cliquet d’entraînement dans la
position indiquée dans le dessin détaillé A.
2. Enfoncez le cliquet d’arrêt dans la direction de la flèche
comme l’indique le dessin détaillé B.
3. En même temps, tirez sur la sangle jusqu’à l’obtention du
jeu désiré.
POUR SOULEVER UNE CHARGE OU TENDRE LA
SANGLE
1. Enclenchez le cliquet d’entraînement et la roue à rochet.
La position de l’interrupteur est indiquée dans le dessin
détaillé A.
2. Actionnez la manette dans la direction de la flèche comme
l’indique le dessin détaillé B. Chaque déplacement de la
manette tend la sangle pour tirer la charge.
ATTENTION ! NE DÉPASSEZ PAS LA CAPACITÉ DE
CHARGE PRESCRITE.
ENTRETIEN
Vérifiez s’il y a des pièces endommagées. Avant d’utiliser un outil, toute pièce qui semble endommagée doit être
vérifiée attentivement pour déterminer si elle est en bon état de fonctionnement et permet d’exécuter les tâches
prévues. Vérifiez l’alignement et le coincement des pièces mobiles, les composants brisés ou toute autre situation
pouvant perturber le bon fonctionnement. Toute pièce endommagée doit être réparée ou remplacée par un
technicien qualifié.
MISE AU REBUT DE L’OUTIL
Si votre outil est trop détérioré pour être réparé, ne le jetez pas. Apportez-le à un centre de recyclage approprié.
