
SAFETY RULES

When
setting
up
the
machine
for
any
sawing
job,
rotate
bandwheel
by
hand
to
make
certain
saw
'
blade
tracks
properly.
Keep
table
free
from
tools
and
materials.
2.
Always
keep
blade
guard
in
place.
Upper
blade
guide as close as possible
to
work
piece.
Upper
and
lower
doors closed
and
locked
during
operation.
3.
If
feeding is done
manually,
use
push
stick.
Keep
hands
away
from
saw
area.
4.
Keep
saw
teeth
sharp
and
properly
set.
Improper
set
teeth
will
cause
blade
to
"walk"
and
imposes
undue
strain
on
blade, causing breakage.
5.
Always
disconnect
power
supply
when
servicing machine.
6.
Horse
play
or
conversation
while
operating
machine
is dangerous.
Keep
your
eye
on
the
saw
and
work
piece.
7.
Wear
goggles
for
eye
protection.
8.
Roll
up
your
sleeves
and
wear
tight
fitting
work
clothes. Loose
or
ragged
clothing
is dangerous.
Your
hand
may
be
pulled
into
blade.
9.
Never
clean
saw
area
when
machine
is
running
.
10.
Machine
frame
should
be
electrically
grounded
in
compliance
with
local regulations.
11.
Always
keep directional
valve
(at
front
of
table)
at
neutral
position
when
hydraulic
feed
is
not
used.
12.
Before
operating
the
machine,
table
trunnion,
saw
guide
bar
and
blade
guides
must
be
locked.
13
.
Pressures
for
hydraulic
pump
unit
and
air
compressor
unit
are
factory
set. Do
not
tamper
with
safety
valves.
14
. Good
housekeeping
is one of
the
most
important
of
all
safety
rules.
DESCRIPTION
The
Model
89
Band
Saw
is a 20"
medium
duty,
variable
speed
metal
and
wood
cutting
saw
with
an
integral
hydraulic
feed mechanism.
The
frame
is
constructed
of
welded
steel
plate
for
rigidity.
The
bandwheels
have
crowned
rubber
tires
designed
to
handle
carbon
steel
blades
up
to
%" wide.
The
hydraulic
feed
mechanism
is a reciprocating
table
insert
assembly
complete
with
pump
and
reservoir
which
requires
no
external
air
supply.
The
hydraulic
cylinder
applies force
directly
in
line
with
the
blade
which
eliminates
any
couple
or
twisting
effect.
The
power
feed
mechanism
may
be
used
to
drive
a
straight
material
push
block, a
miter
attachment
or
a
contour
cutting
attachment.
The
saw
is
available
with
the
