How to Install s
1. Before and during installation, DO NOT subject this appliance to an inclination of
greater than 45 to the horizontal, so as to prevent damage to the compressor and
refrigeration system of the appliance.
2. Clean the exterior of the appliance and the removable accessories contained
within with a solution of liquid detergent and water. Clean the interior of the
appliance with a solution of sodium bicarbonate dissolved in lukewarm water.
Ensure that the appliance is completely dry before use and standing at an upright
position for at least 2 hours before switching on the appliance. This will reduce the
possibility of malfunction of the cooling system which may have been incurred
during transportation.
3. This appliance should be installed in an environment free from explosive &
flammable substances, away from direct sunlight and sources of heat (stove,
heater, radiator, etc.) on a horizontal, stable and heat-resistant surface. Adjust the
front feet to keep the appliance level. Direct sunlight may affect the acrylic coating;
heat sources may increase electrical consumption and wear out the motor.
Ambient temperature below 5 C and above 32 C will hinder the performance of
the appliance.
4. This appliance is deigned to be free-standing, and should NOT be recessed or
built-in.
5. The appliance shall NOT be placed on a surface, or in the vicinity of, objects which
can be damaged by heat such as wood, carpets or plastics. If the appliance is
operated on wooden furniture, use a protective pad to prevent damage to delicate
finishes.
6. Place the appliance at a proper distance from objects or surrounding walls making
sure that its functioning will NOT cause accidental damages. There should be at
least 10 cm of free space from the back, left & right sides and at least 20 cm from

on top of the appliance.
7. Before powering the appliance make sure the rating (voltage and frequency)
corresponding to the grid and the socket is suitable for the plug of the appliance,
the wall socket is properly grounded and the power cable is undamaged. DO NOT
power the appliance using adapters and/or extension cables, external timers
and/or other remote control appliances.
8. Before switching on the appliance for the first time or re-starting the appliance after
a long period of being turned off, DO NOT place bottles inside the appliance. For
the first few hours after switching on the appliance, the actual temperature inside
the compartment and the temperature indicated on the Display might be different.
Once the Compressor has run continuously for a few hours, this discrepancy will
resolve itself. During this period of time, you should try NOT to open the door
frequently nor place bottles inside the appliance.

9. The shelves are arranged in factory mode that results in the most efficient use of
energy for the refrigerating appliances. To prevent damaging the door gasket,
make sure the door is fully opened when pulling shelves out of the rail
compartment. The shelves are fully adjustable to suit various wine bottle shapes
and sizes.
10. Pull the shelves out approximately 1/3 before putting, and removing, bottles. The
shelves are designed with an emergency stop to prevent them being removed too
far when loaded.
11. If you need to switch the appliance off, make sure at least 5 minutes had elapsed
before switching the appliance back on in order to protect the compressor and the
refrigeration system.

2. Storing your wines
The chart below indicates the ideal storage temperatures for different types of wine:
Type of wine
Temperature
(C)
Temperature
(F)
Red wine
15 –18
58 –65
White wine
9 –14
48 –79
Sparkling wines /
champagne
5 –8
41 –47
Exposure to light, vibrations or fluctuations in temperature and humidity can all
cause wine to spoil. However, temperature stability is the most important factor
when it comes to storing wine.
When properly stored, wines not only maintain their quality but many will actually
improve in aroma, flavour and complexity as they mature.
Wines kept at a higher temperature will age faster. Wine that is exposed to
temperatures that are greater than 18 C (64 C) will suffer from poorer flavour and
aroma. Wines kept at too low a temperature can result in the development of
harmful deposits. A humidity of 60%~70% is ideal for keeping corks from shrinking.
After a bottle of wine has been opened, the wine comes into contact with air. So it
is best to store the remainder of the bottle upright, to minimise the surface area of
the wine that is coming into contact with the air. The wine will remain in a drinkable
condition for two days for delicate whites or three days for rich reds, as long as the
bottle has been resealed. You should make sure that the seal is firm by checking
the stopper. Special stoppers that keep wine sparkling and Champagne bubbling
for one or two days after opening, can be bought at most good wine shops.
When stored correctly, white wines can keep well for up to two years. Full bodied
reds will age well for ten years and dessert wines will age well for up to twenty
years.
When you buy a bottle of wine, you should transfer it to a suitable storage location
immediately (if you are not going to store it in your wine chiller).
Cheaper bottles of wine will not age as well as more expensive ones.
To make the most of the bouquet and taste of your wine, never fill more than half
a glass at a time. It will also help if the shape of your wine glass is appropriate for
your wine. The size and shape of your wine glass’s bowl will determine the
intensity and complexity of the bouquet. The stem should be long enough to allow
you to avoid hand contact with the bowl of the glass and should be tulip-shaped
or tapered at the top.

3. The appliance is ideally suited to store 0.75 litre Bordeaux style wine bottles. The
maximum storage number is based on this bottle. As many bottles may differ in
size and dimensions, the actual number of bottles you are able to store may vary.
Make sure that these bottles DO NOT prevent the door from shutting properly.
4. When loading several bottles of wine at once, it will take longer for the appliance
to cool the individual bottles.
5. DO NOT place or use any electrical appliances inside the appliance unless
recommended by the manufacturer.
6. If the appliance is to be moved from one location to another, switch it off, unplug
the power cable from the wall socket, remove all contents from the cooling
compartment, and tape the doors shut.
7. If the appliance is to be left empty for a long period of time (more than 3 weeks),
switch it off, unplug the power cable from the wall socket, remove all contents from
the cooling compartment, clean, dry and leave the door open to prevent mould
from developing within the appliance.
How to clean s
1. Switch off the appliance and unplug the power cable from the wall socket before
cleaning or conducting maintenance.
2. Open the door of the appliance and remove all contents from the cooling
compartment.
3. Wait until the interior of the appliance has completely warmed up, and the
compressor cooled down, before cleaning or performing any maintenance
operation.
4. Wash the inside with a damp warm cloth soaked in lukewarm water and baking
soda solution. The solution should be about 2 tablespoons of baking soda to a
quart of water. DO NOT use abrasive scouring pads or powders.
5. DO NOT soak the appliance in water or other liquids, wash it under the tap, or let
any liquid flow into the internal casing of the appliance to prevent electric shock.
6. Wipe the exterior of the appliance using a soft, damp cloth or sponge moistened
with mild liquid detergent. DO NOT use abrasive scouring pads or powders.
7. Be sure to keep the door gasket (seal) clean to keep the unit running efficiently.
Rubbing some talcum powder on the gasket of the Door may help prolong its life.
8. Remove dust and grime from the Condenser to keep it in good working order.
9. Dust or anything else blocking the vent may hinder the cooling efficiency of the
appliance. Vacuum the vent if necessary.
10. After cleaning, dry every surface using a soft cloth before restarting the appliance.
